E3 2016 is now getting very interesting, as it's been confirmed that there'll be a second day of live streaming from the Nintendo Treehouse team. It'll start with the previously confirmed Pokémon Go Q & A, before stepping up a notch with extended looks at three more games.
So, what's happening? Details are below:
Nintendo Treehouse and Pokémon Go Q & A - 15th June at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm UK / 7pm CET
Starting with the Pokémon Go Q & A, we're then going to see the Treehouse team play more upcoming titles. Those confirmed by Nintendo are Monster Hunter Generations, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE.
When you also consider the fact that 16th June will bring a 'Pokémon Special', we'll have broadcasts to enjoy each day of E3, which is a big boost over the originally announced single day.
So, what do you think? Let us know in the comments!

Heck yeah! That's the Nintendo I know and love! I knew this E3 wasn't just gonna be Zelda.
Decent. I said last year I would be happy with a Zelda / Pokémon E3. Woot! Wonder what they have for day 3?
There we go. This is great news!
I really hope new stuff is announced, though.
It's something. Only Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE for Wii U? It's a place to show new games, not ones that are already finished. It gives it some promotion I guess.
They really will have nothing new to show huh? ¯\__(ツ)__/¯
Oh, that's good to hear! Lets wait and see what else the got up their sleeve
This was inevitable. I knew they wouldn't make it just Zelda, deep down I knew. I'm only really excited for Pokemon other than Zelda, I mean I'm still calming down from that trailer we just got.
This is good news and just in time as i expected them to go into more detail about games they shown during the event and what likely be announced by other companies as i wonder if they will be doing the same whit the indie games as they did last year.
Zelda only playable at the show floor, but other games will be streamed by the Treehouse Live. I can live with that!
Can't wait to see more of Paper Mario: Color Splash. I really hope they'll get it right this time!
Good job Nintendo 😎
I'm definitely up for more coverage of TMS ♯FE.
I don't want to speak for everyone here, but I think even the most fervent Zelda fans would agree that we are happy to see Nintendo will have more games to show at E3 besides Zelda: Electrified Arrow Man for Wii U / NX.
I think they'll probably show Paper Mario: Color Splash as well. If nothing else, they will at least remind us that the game exists; a new trailer would be nice.
That's better Nintendo .
Either backpedaling or miscommunication
Is there even anybody from the treehouse left?
You sneaky badgers. Announce that only Zelda would be at E3 but keep the other games for your personal show. Like the Nintendo Directs in the past before/at E3.
Guess it makes it harder to leak
Yes! More stuff! But for those who may be worried that it's looking like things we already know about, they can still announce something new...though for the sake of avoiding the debacle that was last year's e3, I'd keep my expectations low. Also, on the subject of Color Splash, since I'm seeing some people above me talking about it...Nintendo, I will give you one more chance with this one. If it has stuff like characters OTHER THAN TOADS, worlds that go beyond the standard Mario formula, or even just the tiniest bit of a story, I will be happy. But, if it ends up looking more like Sticker Star, THEN I'm going to be upset.
@GrailUK Well, the 'Pokémon Special' will be on day three, whatever the heck it is.
@NintyFan
I think that will be announced soon as well but would not be surpriced if they announce tomorrow that during the 3rd day of streaming they will be showing off paper mario color splash and other upcoming titels either 3rd party or indie
@WebHead I suspect the former, but I don't really care!
Good job Nintendo! Now this year's E3 won't be a total waste of time! I can actually can watch the whole thing. I guess there's also a secret Nintendo Direct as well.....
Looks like Nintendo is going to have a big E3 after all.
So still nothing. Just the Treehouse team showing off the Wii U game they've butchered.
@Grumblevolcano What happen, you go to the loo or something?
Well this should quiet things down a little bit.
Runbow is getting a pysical edition on the 3DS
Hm. Guess they'll survive after all.
There's still time to announce a Digital Event or have a pre-E3 event. But I'm glad they are at least doing some other games.
...Better. Certainly better.
Cool, I guess. Still needs a Nintendo Direct though, one that shows some unannounced games.
@rjejr Star Fox Zero, need 150 hits to get 3,000 overall.
Good news! These three don't interest me but that's still good to hear. I'm hoping for some Paper Mario and a couple suprises still.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE "Only Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE for Wii U?"
Well considering many people on here have spent the past few weeks lamenting "ONLY ZELDA U AT E3" and now we have all of these games, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think Paper Mario Color Splash may show up. Or a new HD remake. (Is new remake redundant or an oxymoron?) Or new lame mini-game thing like NES Remix 3 or Minis on the March amiibo edition 2. I also think they'll have something for the Wii U version of Skylanders Imaginators. Either amiibo like last year or special Nintnedo parts in game.
Still 2 weeks to go, plenty of time to ponder.
Still disappointed that there won't be much New stuff shown but if they want to save that for a future Nintendo Direct I'm cool with that.
Still surprised at the NX No-Show but considering the latest rumours of a delay it may make sense.
Plus I can't do an E3 gathering with my friends this year.
The thing about the Treehouse stuff - it's not particularly bitesize, is it. Sure - highlights can be subsequently put together, but ideally I'd still have a main presentation that covers everything, lasts 30-60mins, and can be watched live.
@Grumblevolcano Good excuse. I hope I didn't make your phone vibrate in your pocket and mess you up that close to your goal, I hear 3,000 is tough to reach.
It was really nice to see some actual news though, not a leak or rumour for a change. When your dieing of starvation a few crumbs does the trick.
Well since they are already announced/introduced games technically they aren't "New". Well played Nintendo...well played.
EDIT: There are honestly way too many games coming for the 3DS, not so much for the Wii U, that failing to mention would be a total death knell for Nintendo.
They never said Zelda would be the ONLY game shown, they said it would be the only "playable demo". Poor choice of wording on Nintendo PR's part, or genius who knows people were still frothing at the mouth about it until this news came out. All the while people are talking about Nintendo the entire time. I gotta hire Nintendo PR.
@TruenoGT pretty sure E3 means very little in japan vs Tokyo games show
I'm very happy that they're going to be showing more stuff, but it's also a little sad that they're not really 'new' games.
Still crossing my fingers for a 3DS mini direct or something. Didn't Kimishima say recently that there's some unannounced 3DS games? ...and where were all those Unity games for New 3DS?
what's the odds they'll be saving a surprise or two also, i mean they usually have surprise in these streams
I'm pretty excited for Dragon Quest. My 3DS has gotten a ton of use so far this year especially with Hyrule Warriors Legends, that game is addicting.
I'd bet my proverbial hat that they adjusted according to the fan reaction. They didn't plan on these initially, but made new plans to accommodate.
Yes!!! Thank you Nintendo! To be honest, although I am dissapointed about no NX at E3, if it not ready to be shown then it's for the best otherwise you don't want it to get get a bad reception but the best reveal possible.
People are still sore over Nintendo's e3 2015. Hell, some are still sore over e3 2003 after so long, because connectivity screwed them over. I'd say if you absolutely WANT a new Metroid or for NX to be a powerhouse system that will kick the crap out of Sony/M$/Apple, best you either wait or get a life.
@YouSeemFRAZZLED If you're going to share after we've written about it too, it's only polite to give our article some love
Well, this is better, but I can't help wondering why Nintendo didn't just announce this when the inevitable, "Is that all you've got?" questions were dominating the press when Zelda was pitched as the only playable game. Well, whatever...it's Nintendo. Looking a bit better than hitherto.
Really wish they weren't doing this during the Microsoft conference. I hate having to pay attention to two screens.
@Sakura Well they did say it was the only playable demo, not the only game. Guess we'll have to experience the others vicariously through the treehouse hosts.
Like i said earlier Nintendo's PR is on the job. People have been talking about nothing but Nintendo, for better or for worse, since they announced the original E3 lineup, and now they have few more days in the news cycle, staying in people's minds until E3.
There are still plenty of games in Nintendo's line up, mainly 3DS, that isn't slated to be talked about during E3. Either because they are going to be released around the same time, or because they are due out in 2017.
@able_to_think They aren't, Microsoft is on Monday while Nintendo is Tuesday and Wednesday.
@Nin10doh They do seem to have been quite careful over wording of announcements. Honestly, though, I do struggle to understand the "why"some of their decisions. They must be on a higher plane than me so I'm just going to give up trying to understand and enjoy the ride instead.
Glad to see that Zelda isn't the only game being shown at E3.
Hopefully, Nintendo also announced some new stuff at E3 as well. I know most of their developers are probably hard at work on NX software, but I hope at least one or two new Wii U or 3DS games are announced.
@Sakura Oh its not just you. I gave up on the "why" long ago, as it would only lead to an brain aneurysm. At this point I'm leaning towards they maybe a cult and only a special test would allow us access into their world/way of thinking.
@Grumblevolcano Well I'm a tad embarrassed now. Thanks for the correction.
YUS! DQVII, will probably (should) get a release date at or before E3, I'll watch the stream, been missing Dragon Quest glad to see it come back to the West!
Oh my God it's genius. How do you get people hyped for only a handful of games? Make them think you'll only show one, then when they get used to the idea show FIVE.
Wow! HMK should make a video about this!
I hope this will get people to stop whining about Nintendo's E3 plans...
This is better. Gotta think they backpedaled after all of the backlash though.
@rjejr I've noticed that Nintendo's gone silent on Rhythm Heaven Megamix and Dragon Quest VIII. The latter could be explained by a delay to 2017, but the former? Hope they still plan to bring it to the west...
@IceClimbers "I've noticed that Nintendo's gone silent..."
Nintneod is silent on so much stuff, wouldn't it be easier to keep track of the stuff they aren't silent on? Pokemon, TMS#FE, and uh, well that's about it.
I do recall the 2 DQ games being mentioned in an ND last year though. Weren't they both due out in the spring or summer?
Ah, here it is:
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/11/dragon_quest_vii_and_viii_both_confirmed_for_western_3ds_release_in_2016
Well there's the problem, everybody knows Nitneod is always about 6 months behind in it's calendar listings - see Zelda U and SFZ and Pikmin 3 and well you get the idea.
"Dragon Quest VII is set for launch early next year, while Dragon Quest VIII is expected later in 2016."
DV7 is late 2016, DV8 is early 2017. b/c that's how Nintendo rolls.
@WebHead More like misinterpretation. Nintendo said Zelda would be the only playable game at E3. The internet somehow removed the word "playable" from the original statement and went nuts. Of course, Nintendo could have done themselves a favor and said something sooner.
I knew Zelda wouldn't be the only thing they showed off at E3, but I also knew that they wouldn't have anything new to show either. Or maybe they will. Maybe they will surprise us. I doubt they will though.
@rjejr That still leaves Rhythm Heaven. If I were to guess, DQVII will be sometime in October, probably late October. Where does that leave Rhythm Heaven? Early November?
Maybe DQVII will release the same day as Disney Magical World 2, leaving the late October/early November spot for Rhythm Heaven.
@IceClimbers I can't follow any rhythm games, sets off my PTSD from the E3 Wii Music fiasco. Your own your own w/ that one.
@RainbowGazelle the tree house didn't localize #fe. Altus did.
Meh, I'm not interested in any of those titles. Looks like Zelda really is the only new game being shown off for the first time. Ah, well. Like others have said, I hope we at least get a fresh look at Color Splash.
@faint And NoA are the ones forcing the censorship on them.
Seems weird for Dragon Quest 7. It's been out for 3 years in Japan. Don't get me wrong, very glad we're finally getting it here. Just seems weird because there's already so much footage and let's plays you could look up. It's an old game..
It's good that they have something planned, but this seems like they just needed some filler content. All 3 games have already been released in Japan already, so it's not like they can really announce anything other than all they ways they censored #FE. And DQVII's release date, I guess.
