Nice. Another game that i've held off on a Steam purchase in hopes of a Switch release. Soon to be added to my ever-growing list of the "too many games!" Switch backlog

Cool! I have the first game on both Steam and 3DS, but was holding off on the second game on the hopes it would get a Switch release. I'll pick this collection up for sure (unless it's ridiculously priced, then i'll just wait for a possible sale).

The real irony is that he didn't need to use or show a fake gun or even any weapon to rob a bank. Just the threat of having a weapon is enough, as bank personnel are trained to cooperate with robbers so as to prevent any violence or harm. That's why you occasionally hear stories about someone robbing a bank by just handing over a note saying "I have a gun". Also, when they are inevitably caught, they potentially face less jail time if the crime is committed without a weapon (even using a fake weapon can incur additional time/charges).

This is correct.
However, this review, and most of the comment section, is far too annoying for me to sully my time with it.

That said, i will eventually buy this once there is a sale, despite the fact that i own approximately 17 different collections or versions of pretty much all of these games, including the original carts.

As others have said, for $4 i'll likely double-dip.

The blue tunic thing is interesting as it is essentially an inverse of why Luke's lightsaber in RotJ was green — so it would stand out during the blue sky background (and not be screwed up by the bluescreen tech) during the Jabba's sail barge/Sarlaac Pit scene.

I am perfectly relaxed.

It does not change the fact that both of the images released so far make Sonic look horrible.

And i say this as someone who doesn't even like, or even care about, Sonic at all

True. But any amount of archaic gameplay is overshadowed by the majesty of Dogs Bower.

Lack of Blue Stinger makes Dogs Bower angry.

By all indications, Billy is a bit of an arrogant jerk, but he's nowhere near the "evil villain" that some in the community want to make him out as being. And honestly, i think he enjoys the villain rep a little bit, kind of like a pro wrestling heel.

Good on him for pulling this one off.

My thoughts exactly. You can go on eBay right now and find literally dozens of these things for cheap. Heck, i have one on my shelf right now that looks like a GB Micro knock off. It's rubbish, but it was like $10 and is handy for a quick game.

Guess i need to finally get back to this awesome game. I think i was at the Demon General boss fight (or did i beat him? i can't recall right now) when i took a break. Then other games — particularly Ys VIII — came along and distracted me.

I have this on Steam, and while it's not great, it is good and enjoyable. It gets somewhat repetitive, but the action and combat is certainly enjoyable.

I'd potentially buy it again depending on price, or perhaps wait for a sale.

If i was to go purely on nostalgia from my cabinet-trolling days in the summer of 1986, Rygar would have to be in my top 5 arcade games.

I already have the arcade port on Wii VC, but i will definitely be picking this up.

False. Downloading ROMs that others have uploaded is not legally permissible, even if you own the physical cart. Think of this parallel: I may own a Star Wars bluray or a Beatles CD, but that doesn't mean it is permissible to download digital copies of those files that someone has uploaded to a torrent or something.

Even making ROM-image copies yourself of games that you own physical copies of is, at best, a legally gray area.

Stupid people are stupid.

That said, if i was a millionaire, i'd totally waste my money buying unnecessary things, like first pressing vinyl Beatles LPs, mint boxed copies of Custer's Revenge, copies of Amazing Fantasy #15, and several dozen "fun-filled" weekends with Bailey Jay.

I want this ... but not at that price.

As someone who grew up with text adventures, i'm definitely keeping my eye on this.

I would love to see some sort of Infocom collection one day, but since i think that's all owned by "Activision" (much like Atari, modern Activision is a completely different company than the actual great, original company) these days, it'll never happen.

Hmm. Will be keeping my eye on this. I have the first 3 games on Steam, but still need to play through the 3rd. Cool that this classic series keeps going.

I assume this is the first part of a Conan trilogy, followed by:
Part II - See Them Driven Before You
Part III - Hear the Lamentations of Their Women

Wait ... English voiceover is gone? WTF? The characters' voices in the cut scenes added a tremendous amount of charm to the game (especially Solange, voiced by the great Laura Bailey). Oy. This just went from "must buy now" to "y'all better release an update/patch if you want my money".
