Re: Nintendo Switch OLED Model Vs. Standard Switch / Switch Lite: Full Tech Specs Comparison

tadams587

I wanted HDR in Dock Mode, but:

Positive
1) Double the storage
2) An OLED screen.
3) Better audio in portable mode. Possibly surround enhancements?
4) Built in Lan Port

Neutral
1)Better kick stand

It is worth $50 to $60 more.
I wouldn't pay any more.

Still would like to know if the HDMI port is still 1.4 or 2.0a or higher.
2.0a or higher is needed for HDR in TV mode, though is unnecessary on a OLED screen in portable mode.

Re: Take A Look At 'Planet Hop', A Charming New Game Boy Title

tadams587

Nintendo needs an emulator, with a built-in up-scaler, for the Switch.
They had had one for the 3DS, so it should be possible on the Switch.
I'd rather have library of a ton of games to buy, than have a nostalgic, "Best Hits" app.
They should slightly, up the price for these gems, & sell them for the actual target price for people that bought the online service.
I know this seems like a rip-off, but the alternative is:
1)Every one is mad due to a Switch, library shortage.
2)Every one is mad due to a 3DS, library shortage.
3)Every one is very mad due to paying $60 for the newest 2D/HD games. You'll still be paying the $60, just wont be as upset about it.
Screw whatever business model they made with investors.
I'm still waiting for Golden Sun on either my 3DS or Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo should adjust their model more for Supply & Demand, not nostalgic.

Re: Another Cloud Game Is On Its Way To Nintendo Switch This July

tadams587

Please send both Nintendo & the Devs a message, by not buying.
I am begging you all to do your part.
Have them learn the hard way, they need to wait for Nintendo to get better Hardware.
You want "cloud gaming", ask Devs to target Tablets or Mobile Phones; not Nintendo.
Unless it is a game that requires online play, there should be no reason to buy into any "cloud gaming" on the Switch.
I am Begging You All, DO NOT BUY.

Also, please send Square Enix a message too;
by not buying the upcoming 8-bit game final fantasy 1-5 on mobile device. It belongs on the Switch.
Devs need to learn their priorities the hard way, time to show some tuff love.

Re: Rune Factory 5's Local Switch Release Arrives "Early" In 2022

tadams587

Still no Lego Starwars release date & now this!?

if Lego Starwars ends up digital only, I'm going to be pissed.
Before you think I'm over-reaching, look at Doom Eternal. It got delayed to later fall into the Digital only.

If Disney really wanted to impress us they should of went with a reboot of Disney Infinity, with both StarWars & Marvel.

Re: Random: What If Nintendo Just Released A Basic Switch XL?

tadams587

Another feature the Nintendo Switch needs it is HDR color. Neither the current Switch or its dock's HDMI port support it.
Without HDR:
1) there will be no need for a substantial bump in performance.
2) We would most likely get just a repeat of the last revision:
A CPU swap
A slight motherboard change for better compatibility with the new CPU. (If needed)

Re: Review: Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection - Ryu Hayabusa Deserves Better Than This

tadams587

@UndoControl
I agree with your assessment based on it being an original Xbox game.

However the install base argument is very limited.
The "Switch Pro" would eventually replace the Regular Model.

Ever since "Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition",
Switch Owners have already had the mindset,
"Its no longer a matter of wanting to upgrade,
I NEED to upgrade"

Also, this game looks worst than a PS2 game. If I didn't know better I'd guessed it was a Dreamcast game.

Re: Nintendo E3 2021 Direct To Air 15th June

tadams587

BoW 2 delayed is not "Bad News".
Who wants a game rushed for a console revision release date!?

It should either hold no influence or result in a delay for additional features when played on the revision, such as higher color fidelity.

Also, there probably will be a Zelda themed, "Switch Pro", coming in 2022.

Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2: Everything We Know So Far

tadams587

Breath of the Wild 2 will be delayed till 2022. Though not a "Switch Pro" exclusive, it will display a higher color fidelity on Nintendo's upcoming revised console. Similar to the differences of how Hyrule Warriors Legends appears between the 3DS & 'New' 3DS, but better.

Re: Video: This Is What Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Looks Like Running At 8K With Ray Tracing Enabled

Rtx lighting is impressive, but RTX itself needs some work.
Nvidia needs to work on getting it to work better with Layered shading, Water, Fog, smoke, & Grit.
I keep seeing Devs remove grit from a game's graphics, to better show the shininess of RTX.
Are we going to keep seeing every reflective surface with less detail & more basic shading.
Are we goldfish? Should we get over-impressed by RTX making things shiny, when there are other aspects of it being neglected.
Don't misunderstand me.
I think RTX is a great concept. One that needs some fine tuning.

Re: Talking Point: amiibo Have Always Been Physical DLC, Skyward Sword HD Is No Different

tadams587

I bought a Wolf Link amiibo, expecting Twilight Princess HD to come to the Nintendo Switch.
Still nothing...
Waiting for Golden Sun Games to get re-released for the 3DS or Nintendo Switch.
Still nothing...
Stupid Wii-U... I wont buy it.
To the people who are tired of ports from the Wii-U,
I don't care.
Nintendo should give us access all them games.
Unless its a Full-on remake, 4gb+, Zelda, Mario, or Pokémon game, they should re-release the bulk of ports digitally.

Re: Video: Game Boy Advance On Nintendo Switch Online? Here's How It Could Look

tadams587

Anybody got a list of games with multiplayer support, from the Gameboy Advance. I wonder which games would benefit from such an app?

It would be nice, if they added an emulated HD, "Super Gameboy" (Snes), to the Nintendo Switch.
On the 3DS Gen 1 & 2 Pokémon games are $9.99 each.
They could release all 6 in a "HD experience", collection for $60 to $80.
