Update: Good news, folks. The promised Pokémon HOME June update is now live and available to download on mobile (thanks, Serebii).
The update takes the app to Version 1.4 and adds the Catch Calendar and an upgraded Pokédex feature which allows you to view Pokémon models. Two new Mystery Gifts are now also available, giving all Pokémon HOME users a Gigantamax Factor Bulbasaur and Squirtle.
Original Article (Wed 26th May, 2021 15:15 BST): The mobile version of Pokémon HOME is receiving a welcome update next month that'll add new features and reward players with two special Pokémon.
Firstly, a new 'Catch Calendar' feature will allow you to view your Pokémon arranged by the dates on which you caught them. The idea here is that you'll be able track when you caught your very first Pokémon, right up until the day you finally grabbed the biggest, baddest Legendary around. It'll also let you set special dates like anniversaries, your birthday, and the day you first met your favourite Pokémon.
It'll also update the Pokédex functionality inside the app; after installing the update, you'll be able to view Pokémon from different angles, giving you a "better look" at each and every monster in your collection.
As for the special Pokémon? Well, the new update also brings with it a Bulbasaur and a Squirtle, both of which can be transferred to your copy of Pokémon Sword or Shield, and both of which can Gigantamax when fully evolved. If you've already got the special Gigantamax Charmander from Leon in-game, you'll soon have a full set.
No specific date has been provided for this update just yet, but June's only around the corner.
Today's been a pretty big day for Pokémon news; earlier, the release dates for three upcoming Pokémon games were revealed, alongside their boxarts.

All I want is a way to sort my switch version of pokemon home Into pokedex order. Right now you can search for pokemon in specific orders but not sort the actual boxes. I have over 1000 pokemon saved and I was hoping to arrange them I to a living department order but its near impossible without spending 10s of hours on it.
Okay but when do they add stuff that justifies it being 4 times the price of Bank, which is still better at organizing stored Pokémon?
I'm just gonna open home and move these two to sword and then never use them
I have my complete national dex already with my collection that dates back to gen 3. I am good.
I'm only missing Marshadow, Zeraora, Meltan, Melmetal and Zarude. Hopefully one day they will distribute those ones again
@LXP8 I have plenty of Meltan if you want one but I can't help you on the others...
@bojackson oooooh that would be great!! Are you free to trade now and do you need anything in return?
wait, you can get gigantmax Charizard from Leon in game?
@jcboyer515 Leon didn't give one for me. I actualy captured one in a Max Raid with a master ball.
@jcboyer515 I got many master ball from those surprise trades. And Yes, I did complete the story and captured Zacian. There is nothing esle to do, i already completed the battle tower. Where is my charmander?
@1ofUs I feel seen by your comment lmao, that’s basically how I play Pokémon these days
@jcboyer515 Oh I need to go there LOL. I don't remember him saying that. Thank you.
@LXP8 I'm around if you want to trade for one
@bojackson Thanks! I'll leave Nintendolife open until you reply and then we can start trading
@LXP8 ready if you are
@bojackson You still around?
I'd rather have a new competitive format after repeating Series 7 VGC, but thanks anyway...
@Phillips455 I arranged them in national dex order and you're right, it took many hours spread over a number of sessions.
@Phillips455 completely agree. This would be the best feature going for me. Sorting by number in boxes. That would save hours ahead of me.
@Phillips455 Yeah, I already did that in X,and kept it going forward. The transfer to home almost ended up in disaster, but it's fine. It takes stupid long to arrange stuff in Home
I keep hoping for an update that'll fix the crappy box system in the mobile version of home. For a series tat has always done sortable boxes, the fact that I have to open my Switch to move a newly traded legendary from the mobile side into it's actual box is stupid
Don't have any Pokémon games on my switch too expensive for me I would like to be able to play Pokémon go on it though
Mystery gift is Claimable inside both Mobile app & Gen VIII games.
That is 3 Bulbasaur and 3 Squirtle, lol
updated it on my phone and moved them to basic box will put them on Sword later
