Played through most of this on Apple Arcade with a PS4 controller. Very stylish and some incredible attention to detail, but it ran out of steam before the end for me, and I never went back to finish it. The only thing that might have dragged me back would have been getting $20 worth of play out of it rather than playing for free during the month’s trial.
The Ninja Saviors. Once the flow of the violence clicks, it’s a joy to play. Also the wonderful Demon’s Tilt, on Xbox not Switch because Game Pass, and similarly Untitled Goose Game on there which I’ve just finished but am not that impressed with.
Just finished Link’s Awakening, very close to finishing the Resident Evil 2 Remake 2nd Story on PS4 so will do that today too. Bunch of Apple Arcade games on the go too - for mobile gaming, that’s winning out over my Switch at the moment.
Halloween '86 looks cool. Great that there’s new(ish) NES games still appearing. The other one looks too much like a Punch Out mod to have any kind of excitement about though.
I’m playing this for the first time. Over thirty hours on the play clock, three exits left to find. It’s become an obsession over the last couple of weeks. Wonderful game. Completely agree with the score, with the proviso that I am going to find them eventually or I’m going to hate it forever!
Obsessed over Virtua Racing to win the Medium course, and despite my best intentions to start something else once I’d done it, I’m now doing the same either Expert. It’s hard - I had to get to 250 in the world just to come first, but I’m still totally addicted.
I’ve had this on every system I’ve owned since the Spectrum, always with the caveat that it’s still Space Harrier, but I’ve never been able to resist. I’m in.
I got bored with it long before I felt any need to spend money. Wonder what the first week delete numbers are compared to the others. I still play Mario Run.
I played about 40 levels and some PVP. I was done by the time I’d run out of hearts so never felt any need to buy more. Not that I would have. Then I fired it up again yesterday and thought I’m done with this and deleted it.
Played 25 levels so it can’t be bad. It just isn’t Dr Mario. It’s Candy Crush in Nintendo clothes, with the same free-to-play mechanics that you can take or easily leave.
I would have been playing Cadence of Hyrule if Crypt of the NecroDancer hadn’t been so cheap this week! Loving the Contra Collection though. At the business end of Final Fantasy 7 too. Hope to finish it tonight.

Re: Reminder: Four Classic SNES And NES Games Have Launched On Switch Today
Never played any of these so well please with this drop. I’ve now had 75 hours each on the SNES and NES portals, so absolutely no complaints here.
Re: Nintendo Expands The Switch Online SNES And NES Library With Four More Games
More Twinbee will do me. Never played the rest so happy to get them.
Re: '80s-Inspired Endless Runner Top Run Speeds Onto Nintendo Switch Next Month
Sounds like a free-to-play phone game. Oh, hang on... it is.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 1st)
Just finished SNES Yoshi’s Island on Switch, moved on to Koral and Arcade Archives Tecmo Bowl. And that’s a lot of fun!
Re: Tecmo Bowl Brings American Football To Hamster's Arcade Archives Series This Week
Just been playing this. Easy to pick up and still a lot of fun.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 25th)
Very close to going through the whole of The Ninja Saviors on Switch in one go. Played a bit more Bloostained on Xbox and started Bulletstorm on PS4.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 18th)
Mega Man X on SNES Classic Mini and Ninja Saviors on Swicth.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 4th)

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 7th)
Arkham City on PS4, Lonely Mountains Downhill on Xbox One, Hyper Sports on Switch.
Re: TwinBee Is Hamster's Latest Arcade Archives Release
I’m a sucker for most of these releases, but only when they’re not somewhere else minus features I’ll never use.
Re: Nintendo Reminds Switch Online Users To Check Out F-Zero And Other Classic SNES Titles
I love this service. Played some absolute classics with plenty left to play. No complaints here.
Re: Review: EarthNight - A Rewarding, Well-Presented Auto-Runner Lacking A Long Tail
Played this on Apple Arcade. Had great fun for 30 minutes but quickly lost its shine and I’d deleted it within an hour.
Re: Deals: Don't Miss These Exciting Official Nintendo UK Store Black Friday Bargains
@Trajan Only a matter of time...
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 23rd)
Wargroove on Switch, Arkham Asylum on PS4, Crash Bandicoot on PS1.
Re: Hamster Is Bringing Konami's Hyper Sports To The Switch eShop Next Week
Love this game. Insta-buy.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 16th)
Just finished Uncharted 4. Just started Mega Man 11 and Wargroove.
Re: Review: Resident Evil 6 - Not As Nightmarish As You Remember
I’d never played this before the Switch demo arrived. Mainly because I’d never heard anything good about it. I think it’s great now!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 9th)
Kid Dracula on Game Boy, Uncharted 4 on PS4, Joe and Mac 2 on Switch and Sneaky Sasquatch on Apple Arcade.
Re: Nindies Showcase Platformer EarthNight Leaps Towards A December Switch Launch
I played this on Apple Arcade when it launched. It’s fun for a while but I’d deleted it within an hour. Wasn’t much to it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 26th)

Re: Free-To-Start Switch Racer Asphalt 9: Legends Downloaded One Million Times In First Week
Played it for an hour before I deleted it. The racing was fun but I’m not the target audience for all the F2P crap that suffocated it.
Re: Two Spooky NES Games Are Creeping Onto The Switch eShop This Week
Halloween '86 looks cool. Great that there’s new(ish) NES games still appearing. The other one looks too much like a Punch Out mod to have any kind of excitement about though.
Re: Video: Resident Evil 5 And 6 Switch Demos Marred By Poor Performance
Just played through the RE6 demo. Didn’t notice any major issues. Didn’t notice any reasons why it’s so disliked either. Thought it was cool!
Re: And Just Like That, Fortnite Is No More
If only that headline was true - the arguments it would save in our household...
Re: Review: The Bradwell Conspiracy - More Style Than Substance
This is on Apple Arcade. Free if you play it during your month’s trial. Just like Neo Cab and Sayonara Wild Hearts.
Re: Asphalt 9: Legends Is Now Available On Nintendo Switch For Free
Enjoyed it for an hour before I deleted it. I’m not the audience for free to play mobile games whatever platform they’re released on though.
Re: Review: Super Mario World - Phenomenal Platforming Perfection
@OorWullie I can see why you’d keep coming back! I’ve only had a couple of goes on the SNES Classic. Metroid Prime next then Yoshi.

Re: Review: Arcade Archives Track & Field - Timeless Button-Bashing Fun
I’ve had a great time with this. Exactly as I remember it in the arcades. Worth every penny.
Re: Review: Star Wars Pinball - A Silly Yet Authentic Ode To All Things Star Wars
I’ve got a few of these on PS4. They’re great but I’m not paying full whack again.
Re: Random: Don't Worry, Nintendo Switch's 'X' Button Is Still Called 'X'
Doesn’t this story appear every couple of years? What’s next, how to pronounce NES again?

Re: You'll Need A Bethesda Account To Play DOOM And DOOM II On Switch
Entered user name and password, enjoyed the game. Not exactly a big drama.
Re: Dr. Mario World Surpassed Five Million Downloads In Its First Seven Days
I got bored with it long before I felt any need to spend money. Wonder what the first week delete numbers are compared to the others. I still play Mario Run.
Re: Reminder: The Rewind Feature Is Now Live For Nintendo Switch Online NES Games
Not really interested in rewind. Well pleased to have Donkey Kong 3 though.
Re: Dr. Mario World Racks Up Two Million Downloads In Its First 72 Hours
I played about 40 levels and some PVP. I was done by the time I’d run out of hearts so never felt any need to buy more. Not that I would have. Then I fired it up again yesterday and thought I’m done with this and deleted it.
Re: Archlion Saga Is An RPG For Beginners, And It's Coming To Switch This Week
Looks interesting but just seen it’s free on iOS so I’ll save my money.
Re: A Rewind Feature And Two NES Games Are Coming To Nintendo Switch Online This Month
Realise I’m in a minority but I’ll play the hell out of Donkey Kong 3!
Re: Dr. Mario World Launches A Day Earlier Than Expected, Out Now On iOS And Android
Played 25 levels so it can’t be bad. It just isn’t Dr Mario. It’s Candy Crush in Nintendo clothes, with the same free-to-play mechanics that you can take or easily leave.
Re: After Five Years, Shovel Knight Has Now Sold More Than 2.5 Million Copies
I finished this on Switch last night. Apart from some cruel checkpointing towards the end, it’s a classic.
Re: Video: New Dr. Mario World Trailer Shows Off Playable Characters, Abilities And Assistants
I played NES Dr Mario today. I’d rather have that on my phone. This looks way too free to play.
Re: Feature: The Best Movie Licences On Nintendo Systems
So glad to see the Bill & Ted game here. Hugely underrated.
Re: Dr. Mario World For Mobile Devices Arrives On 10th July, Pre-Registration Now Open
Looks like a standard smartphone match-three game rather than traditional Dr Mario. Which makes sense but not what I’d want in an ideal world.
Re: Mario Stars In The Latest My Nintendo Reward Discounts For Europe
Just picked up Balloon Kid. Still a fantastic game.
