Re: "One Of The Slowest Modern LCDs I've Ever Seen" - Digital Foundry's John Linneman On Switch 2's Display

@eaglebob345 That's because no one actually sees the "issue". They had to use specialized equipment and slow it down to 11% speed to see it, just to nitpick. People claiming they can see it only after it was pointed out by DF are BSing.
That's the truth of the matter, slowing down something to see something that is of one's own doing isn't how it should be tested. They are looking for issues that it manufactured to a narrative and plus most people beyond those with Superman eye would never notice this happening in the first place. It's akin to CPU speed so unless it's 2x the original CPU speed everyday person wouldn't even notice this.

@killuaxgod I feel like calling this a tool for piracy is unfair.
Then what else is it good for? Most general consumer don't use it for this. It's mostly HomeBrew/Hackers that use this device. Most people don't go hotswapping their games a million times a minute. And you can hack the software when you do this so again what was it's purpose? This isn't a backup that is a false excuse to cover up the real activities.

@KingMike The day you won't be able to do more than turn a console on without needing an online connection, that's where consoles are going.
Same could be said of anything you own that is electronics. Be ready to insert you CC before you turn on any devices then in this connect age we live.

@Peach64 DF rarely go into opinions. It’s about as objective as you can get.
They been caught out for opinions and refuse to fix it. They are objective as to their fanbase to produce a narrative against anything Nintendo. Just like how their narrative Switch 2 is a PS4 while Stream is a XboxS power. So if that isn't opinions/biased then not sure what your reading.

@WhiteUmbrella Dude what utopia world are you living in. US has EULA working for Nintendo. They don't have to bring cases in US the EULA/TOS does that already. They sue R4 because they are the IP of the software and control it. You clearly don't read or understand Copyright Law 101. Also those HomeBrew/Hacker never comments on here or "Never" go online again because they know Nintendo is looking for them. Only Idiots using R4 online gets themselves caught redhanded.

@Moistnado My switch is banned from using online services because I refuse to pay for NSO. It appears to be a ban via mutual agreement with Nintendo. I won't pay, and they won't let me play online for free.
Is this a bad joke? Why should you get free access to for paid services? Don't pay to subscribe you don't get access easy peezes. No got banned from NSO services you choose to think your entitled for something you have to pay for.

Man NL must bootlick DF alot to keep posting their garbage. They already clearly have a narrative biased against anything Switch. And their viewpoints are ancient already. They have yet at this point fix any debunked video they made on the Switch from credible other youtubbers that have shown they can't see or tell difference between OLED and 2025 LCD or compare Switch 2 against outdate PS4 but same breath would use Steam as equal to XBoxS power. This should be all anyone need to know they need to. They are nitpicking because they can't take down Switch 2 or Nintendo whom is on a roll so whine they must as the saying goes "Whine enough and it will become Truth" is the narrative they got so ingrained because anything else would be taboo to their fanbase of which isn't Nintendo. At this point anything they say is "Garbage". The bad they use charts that don't have the same screen size as Switch 2 or price point for those display isn't on a Switch 2 console. Maybe if they are same 7.9 inch and then do a test that would be a better measure. So this comparison has no legs to stand on.

Re: Man Busted After Allegedly Stealing "$10,000 Worth Of Nintendo Switch Games" From Public Libraries

sethfranum

They will find the game they do have a tag or sticker clearly saying "property of Marin County Libraries". How would anyone not know this? And most likely they have the serial code on those games connected to the library already so any Switch unit would tell Nintendo so anyone that bought stolen property just return and take the loss. Also anything digital transaction as he most likely did they have records of whom bought those stolen games. So in this digital age they can find you. I know there is a library system next to the system I work in and I suspect the games section isn't where anyone can just walk up to but behind secure area and one doesn't just checkout like a book at a checkout machine. That way if you steal after checking out well you better be ready to pay the piper or loose library access for "Dumb criminals" and did it to yourself.

@MK73DS They should ban Nintendo accounts and not whole systems...

Exaclty that's what they should do. You put mig into your Switch 2 your account is banned and even if you get another Switch 2 that new account should be banned because your a known offender. I would never let anyone with a migswitch near my Switch otherwise it's batters up for you. You break the EULA why should they trust you again the second time. If people think they can get around this remember when you buy on eShop your identity is known and they just say you broken EULA so this account is banned now as well.

Re: Nintendo's Strict Policy On MiG Carts Is Creating A Problem For Secondhand Switch 2 Buyers

For stores, too, how do they verify that a console isn't 'bricked' before they accept a return? There's a lot of potential verification time to be spent on an extra layer of checks on returned goods.
My local GameStop will ask you to login to verify your system status and they do ask did you homebrew/hack your system and now used MigSwitch. If you did any of these they will say they will not buy it. Nintendo should NSO account banns this should not affect Switch 2 console itself. That way the banned account user now it's up to them to plead with Nintendo Ninja or forget ever owning NSO account as any future registration they will see the user and payments are on Account Banns.

Re: Digital Foundry Is "Happy" With Switch 2 But Feels The Screen Is "Problematic"

sethfranum

@NintendoWife They been called out already but failed to remove or revise their one sided reviews. They did this to themselves. All DF did this they are responsible for the channel. They are covering up for mistakes rather then address and fix them. They nitpick but failed to read any Nintendo updates how to fix those issue or nitpick issues that is meaningless in the end. It's the game that matters but they can't seem to get off the slamming Switch 2 bandwagon for their fanbase.

It amazes me how many ex-Exe we have here thinking they know more then Kit/Krysta or have a Uncle in Nintendo. If you do please list them for us to see here. Otherwise be quiet about subjects you have no credibility or experiences to show otherwise. They have connections none of you here have that they don't have to disclose - why do they need to even tell the lot of us for?? Think about that for a moment. All those comments are just a Farce...

Re: Switch 2 Has Already Overtaken The Combined Lifetime Sales Of The Entire Xbox Series Family And PS5 Pro In Japan

sethfranum

@Jack_Goetz "DayOne" buyers are those midnight or day of release. That's the launch windows the rest is walk-in buyers for 2nd, 3rd wave or now maybe 4th wave re-stock. Launch is akin to "DayOne" release after that it's "Re-Stock". Launch is over it's now Re-Stock walk-in buyers or in case of Nintendo vs Amazon marriage in NA it's still "Re-Stock" online purchases when that happens? It's launch year but has different meaning from "DayOne/Midnight" launch release.

Re: Third-Party Launch Games On Switch 2 Reportedly Sold "Very Low Numbers"

sethfranum

The Switch 2 just released in June 2025 and people complaining not enough games? What's up with entitled attitude going on here. Higher fidelity games take long time to make and release. Majority of Devs learned not to make such mistake because it will cost sales dearly. I rather have them get working product before getting "buggy games" and have to wait for updates to play it as intended. This is a Switch 2 coming year and Holidays will have more games as Devs are wrapping up their games. Sure, DayOne is good but if your games aren't ready you will get egg in your face. I rather wait and have a good game if your going to charge me 50-70$$ a game.

Re: Rumour: Final Fantasy Devs Supposedly Hint At Another Nintendo Release

sethfranum

@Anti-Matter In my opinion, Final Fantasy games are more fit to be played on PlayStation machines than Nintendo machines but the spinoff felt suitable on Nintendo machines.

Like other comments you clearly have dislike for Nintendo and Switch 2. It's as you said your opinion and that doesn't move industry publishers-that kinda mindset "of only Playstaton" is why any Devs team you consult would be at loosing end of game publishing-take XBox going all platforms including Switch 2, you have to ask do they see something you don't see. Putting on Switch 2 and be on the go is in their best interests of bottom line. Of which it can run SF6 and CP2077 Ult just as good as PS5 version or because it can do that a Switch 2 doesn't fit your narrative of a "under powered console".

Remake of all FF line to Switch 2 would be in SQX best interests and bottom line as now they get the Nintendo fanbase to come aboard to buy more Switch 2 and give them more money. Whom would want to pass this opportunity up?
