Re: Nintendo Is Seeking Player Feedback On Game-Key Cards In Japan

sethfranum

The Fact digital games cost same as Full Physical when it should only cost half since there is no packaging price included for the game. Key-Card should also cost less since there is no Full Physical game on them. This is a scam by all means to get more for giving less back to consumer for those wanting "FULL" Physical games options and will pay for it.

Re: PSA: You Might Want To Be Careful Buying Pre-Owned Switch 1 Games For Your Switch 2

@Milk_ The problem here is the Steam is niche product along with it's cost as compared to Switch 2 is mass general consumer can go find and buy. And Switch 2 now has mouse/keyboard options. And publisher determine whether a game exits in any Steam shop or eShop Nintendo they can only ask they keep but if they decide other wise then it's gone. There are fans on Steam and Switch it's comical when trying to compare their gaming habits from one another aren't the same. Just like comparing prices one isn't to going to invite Switch 2 150 mil buyers. So there is a reason one can't compare a Steam to Switch or Switch 2 as they are different platforms for different gamers and some own both so there is no fine tooth comb to be had here. And all these rants on here need different forum as it has nothing to do with the Article and how it was resolved for the 2nd legit buyer.

The fact they sent out survey means alot that the pushback gave them food for thought. If they made more Switch 2 carts with 16g, 32g up to 64g and publisher charged accordingly for the Full cart and or Key-Card editions people would choose what they want. Full cart with higher price will sell regardless they just want us to pay Full Price for Key-Card when it should be half since it's not even the game. Being only in JPN means they are afraid of the massive survey backlash will not be nice. And also because of concern shareholders asking the question should make any CEO reconsider how it's done.

@RupeeClock Did you even read the story, what it was really about. This isn't Block Buster. Stop changing the story of the article is Switch carts and how online service was blocked because ROM HomeBrewer did this. So your those ROM Homebrewer supporter here. Now the Homebrewer got banned from online services. The 2nd buyer contact and got their system back End of Story but for the HomeBrewer they screwed themselves over. The 2nd buyer wasn't the problem but people on here keep supporting HomeBrewer that caused this problem. Explain to me why you keep supporting the ROM HomeBrewer they have no legitimacy those were purposely made to insure they scammed some unsuspecting 2nd buyer to screw them over. And as my statements before why do they need to HomeBrewer if they never let it out in the light of day? This isn't game preservations - it's Piracy. I own myself a MigFlash but never worked so it's collecting dust.

Re: PSA: You Might Want To Be Careful Buying Pre-Owned Switch 1 Games For Your Switch 2

@jco83 All those cited fallacy falls apart when they used it for Piracy and sold the game to 2nd market and caused the problem to start with. Those trying to cite that law are Pirates themselves trying to use "false analogies to support their false narratives". They thought they could make a quick buck-now if they never let it out of the house or lend or give out to anyone then it's on to them but those doing Piracy are always doing for quick buck and could give a F(O)) what happens to the 2nd hand buyer.

@Mocznik If someone has legit unmodified console and buys legit unmodified games then its his RIGHT to be protected by consumer rights.
Called EULA/TOS you agreed to you don't get to make the terms here.

@Mocznik If Nintendo cant figure out how to fix holes in their own system they created and instead is punishing legit users then they should be sued to hell because its balant anti-consumer practice.
What holes, holes created by "HomeBrewers" that cause this issue to start with???? Define Anti-consumers and make sure to look at all business around you when you use it.

@Mocznik People pay money for games, people deserve to have consumer rights.
Does one not read the EULA?

@Mocznik If nintendo cant figure out own systems then selling used cartridges should be just banned and considered illegal to protect consumer from losing money.
What does this have to do with Nintendo that's the used market that has to figure that out.

@Mocznik I currently have two Switch OLEDs with over 150 games and i think this was my last Nintendo console.
And that matters what? You're in the minority that won't factor in. You'll might want to recheck those Switch 2 sales figures in EU, NA, JPN and Asia markets and others - they aren't slowing down anytime soon.

@Mocznik I cant see anything good coming from Switch 2 generation when Nintendo is lately being completely ridiculous over and over yet fanbase is defending them.
What are so delusional ranting for "DON't BUY" no one told you to buy it. Defending it's the "Console Warriors" here that are trying to defend Hacking "HomeBrewers" that is the ridiculous falling over themselves to just show they are "HomeBrewers".

@The_Nintend_Pedant anyone reading this that understands the first thing about this situation knows that Nintendo is blocking legitimate cart users along with the person using a duplicate rom elsewhere. it's actually the purpose and subject of this entire conversation.
You didn't even read the article to understand what transpired.

@The_Nintend_Pedant Ultimately, this is Nintendo's problem
How is this Nintendo problem, EULA anyone.....and Contact Nintendo Support to resolve the issue. This is about Piracy and blocking such actions.

Re: PSA: You Might Want To Be Careful Buying Pre-Owned Switch 1 Games For Your Switch 2

@Solid_Python I swear half the people commenting here lack basic reading comprehension.
This is what is going on. They all "HomeBrewers" themselves trying to defend another HomeBrewer.
1. The Homebrewer has now screwwed themselves over as they got banned from NSO online services for ROM dumping. This is the part all these wantabees lawyers clearly forgot here.
2. People clearly don't understand is Nintendo and 2nd buyer isn't at fault here. This is the EULA doing it's jobs and the 2nd hand buyers isn't also at fault here.
3. When the Homebrewer calls they will find out they will get a NSO account band for ROM dumping as they have no proof they own the game anymore and that's all Nintendo needs to block any access to Nintendo Online services.
4. Nintendo will restore the 2nd buyer as they provide evidence they are now the legit owner of the game.
5. Backup ROM and selling the game isn't Game Preservation-that's just straight Pirating.
6. If they were Game Preservation just in words only. If they were they would house all those game in a central building location where if you wanted to play them you had to go there and play them.
7. That's called "Game Preservation" so they don't get lost or deleted keeping it for all whom can come and play it there. Anyone trying to use Game Preservation is just "Pirating".
So in the end 2nd users is restored and Nintendo did nothing wrong but now they know whom the HomeBrewer ROM is and they have no Nintendo Online Servers which most likely teach them a long term lessons. I suspect the future iterations of this will include NSO account banns for offenders since if they did this once they clearly didn't learn. Each Switch physical cart games of the same games have different IDentifiers that's how they track and find ROM users.

Re: 18 Months And $200,000 Later, Modder Gives Switch Lite OLED And HDMI-Out - And A Switch 2 OLED Mod Is Next

sethfranum

@Porco it was just typical anti-consumer, nintendo behaviour. there are dozens upon dozens of cheap, sub $100 emulation handhelds, being released on a monthly basis from companies such as anbernic and they all have hdmi out as a standard!
Any how many those play Nintendo OEM cart games? probably none since they aren't licensed to do so. And they are as said Niche product compared to Switch which can be mass productions. So ask yourself which one would be more beneficial to consumers in the end. And stop with this Anti-Consumer DEFINE what is anti and you take look around business and make sure to list those as well.

Re: Poll: How Are Your Download Speeds On Switch 2?

sethfranum

Internet speeds is all based on your ISP bandwidth speed you paid for. It's not going to go any faster then that and alot depends on what kinda connections from dialup to Fiber you have to start with that will determine what kinda congestion you have when you use it. If you don't know what Router you have or if it's update or not also plays a part in your connections to the internet. The Devices connected to the Router isn't the same as ISP bandwidth. People keep confusing these two aren't equal as your not the only one one using the internet.

Re: Video: Switch 2 And Steam Deck Face Off In Cyberpunk 2077 Benchmark Test

sethfranum

Here's the thing when comparing they need to shown at same specs levels and also Steam is a niche product that barely manages Switch 2 launch sales figures. They are trying to save face but forgot Steam is niche product and Switch 2 is the general masses usage. So there's alot of pitfalls already to start with. Also those talking playing on their PC Desktop unplug and go play outside without power outlet. So all comparisons being made here needs some perspective before doing so.

Re: "It Will Have A Chilling Effect On Game Design" - EU Group Responds To 'Stop Killing Games'

sethfranum

Here's the problem someone has to pay to maintain servers to keep the games online if they are only "Online Games" this is what the petitions doesn't address whom is going to pay this cost? So unless that petitions signers will pay the cost to maintain those "Online Servers" they have some skin in the game but if not then they have no say here. This is the elephant in the room the Petitions doesn't address.

Re: Switch Port Experts Share Thoughts About Switch 2's "Raw" Performance

sethfranum

@electrolite77 Switch 2 is a very good price for a portable/hybrid running between PS4 Pro and Series S level
Problem here is PS4 can't play FF7 interact nor CyberPunk 2077 Ult editions so that already tells lack of power PS4 can do, also Harry Potter is on level of XboX for gameplay for most part.

@the_beaver So basically it's as powerful as a PS4 Pro. Good enough to be primarly a handheld, imo!
Here we go again with the DF debunked myth those that keep harping this clearly have issues of anything Switch Nintendo here.

@Giancarlothomaz i see, so Switch 2 is a console between a PS4 and Xbox series S
Is more closer to XboxS/PS5 levels for newer titles.

Re: Switch Port Experts Share Thoughts About Switch 2's "Raw" Performance

sethfranum

The issue here is CPU isn't the main player-it's the GPU and the more they use the GPU the less taxation on the CPU has to work. This is what console warriors forget about Switch 2 the GPU was created for this purpose and that is why it can be at levels of XBoxS and PS5 levels but console warriors would keep harping CPU but forgets without the GPU there is no game.
