Glad to see the mario and rabbid season pass finally on sale without having to buy the gold edition!!

Now just waiting on the dragon ball fighterz passes to go half price....

I think it was last week's sale but Crayola scoot was worth a punt for 2.50....

@arekdougy @SpacedDuck they did sort of make a Tony Hawk remake in Pro Skater HD but unfortunately it was average. Unless they throw a bunch of cash at it and a good developer, then whatever remake they do will end up like HD and 5. I'd give it to vicarious visions as they used to handle the ports in the past if I remember correctly....

@SpicyBurrito16 I agree, I used to play toy story 2 loads when I was younger! Toy story for the mega drive was really good too!

Re: 12 Classic Shmups Are Headed To Switch Thanks To Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha And Bravo

Awesome, hopefully they (the standard editions at least) get a UK release too!

I have the first two strikers games and was planning to get the rest of the psikyo games but I'll wait and see if these come out in the UK now....

I also have a monitor with a better field of view now so portrait gaming will be a pleasure!

Are there any psikyo games on the eshop that aren't included here?

@BacklogBlues it's the same thing Yooka Laylee had, I think it's roughly the same price as the BFTG deluxe edition which means the physical is that+mark up. It certainly made me reconsider getting Yooka Laylee so now I am waiting for it to have a reasonable sale on switch that matches it's frequent sale price on PS4. Though tbh I just meant the digital version of btfg was overpriced for its launch content!

The perfect storm for me buying from limited run is, 1. I don't own the game digitally, 2. It's under $30 (Im in the UK so shipping is normally another $15)

Also I seem to favour FMV games for some reason...my three purchases from limited run have been night trap (collector's edition, I couldn't resist the video tape) and the upcoming dragons lair and double switch...just hoping corpse killer gets a Nintendo switch release too!

Edit: such a shame I bought btfg digitally because I really dug that steelbook and Morpher coin selection!

Re: Lord Zedd Joins The Fight In The First Season Of Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid

@BacklogBlues maybe because it's over priced for the content? I only bought the deluxe edition at launch for the pre order bonus (because I am a sucker) and it still worked out like £3 more than the game plus season pass combined, just for a few skins!

I don't think I could double dip with the limited run mark up though I would've waited if I knew there was a physical release coming.

Re: Sega Mega Drive Mini's European Release Has Been Delayed

@NintendoPete fair enough, yeah the prospect of an unprecedented Watchmen crossover got me into reading comics regularly again! I've been collecting all the issues and every single cover for it but I am waiting to read it until it all comes out! I'd say I can't wait but I probably have about 200 comics in my backlog to get through, I think I'm sorta past the drowned earth crossover, first 6 issues of (bendis) action comics, first 6 issues of Catwoman sort of area so I'm about 8 months behind!!

Re: Random: Three New Ultra Shortcut Glitches Discovered In Mario Kart Wii

ralphdibny

@BulbasaurusRex fair enough! The reason why I love mario kart Wii is because of all the content to unlock and the different ways to unlock it. I barely touched it for a couple of years after launch but when I played it round a friend's house and saw all the characters she had I became hooked and spent the next couple months or so doing everything, including the time trials. I played with the nunchuck before I realised you could get a gold Wii wheel, so I played a bunch with the wheel after that, not to unlock anything, just so I could get that badge of honour! Also I love that autumnal treetop level and the music in it!

MK8 was good but was disappointing in that regard because it felt like there wasn't much to unlock and for what there is, they are all koopa kids.

The reason why I love super and double dash (despite their lack of content) is just they are good games and play well (once you get used to them).

I'd love to give some more time to DS and 7, they had some great tracks, I didn't have an N64 until much later after it was discontinued so I don't have much nostalgia for mk64. I did used to love super circuit on GBA though, I need to revisit it

Re: Guide: Nintendo Switch vs Nintendo Switch Lite: What Are The Differences?

ralphdibny

I wonder three things,

1. Does it have normal rumble if HD rumble is excluded?

2. Can we download our current switch library without wiping the original console?

I'd potentially like to use both consoles, maybe using the cloud saves that come with NSO to switch between them...

3. Will it still support USB controllers etc. Even if the Hori stand is the wrong form factor, could something similar still charge the switch and allow use of USB devices?

Just seen @Krambo42 's comment about using two switches.... Is that limited to two switches? I wonder what we could do if a switch pro comes along and we have 3 switches to switch between!
