I'm sure the boxed codes for gold, silver and crystal here in the UK didn't have an expiry date. I bought them when they came out and only redeemed them around the end of 2019/beginning of 2020. I'm sure they still sell them in shops as well
@NEStalgia lol, apologies for the text wall. I wanted to respond to your first point but felt like I had to address your second point in order to do so. Otherwise you would have just had a text er, 2 paragraphs to read!
@NEStalgia I'd say it's more of a Northern thing but it's probably just more of a commoner thing over here. I definitely use "us" to refer to myself occasionally even though I'm from the South.
I believe teachers did reprimand us for not speaking properly. I remember a lot of contention over the word/contraction "ain't" and also my pronunciation of water which sounds more like "wa'er". But at the end of the day, there's the constructed world that pedants would like you to believe is correct and there is the real world which actually exists.
With regards to your second point which is a minefield that I won't want to expand on too much. I would say that those you refer to actually exist in the real world and I'm quite happy to refer to people in whichever way they like to be referred. It's no real skin off my nose to do so.
@Uncensored that's a brilliant one. I like the one where Kel gets mistaken for a famous artist too. Need to watch all these again, don't think they are available on any streaming service here in the UK. Though Netflix did have Sister Sister so I guess anything is possible!
Woah, I redeemed my Lego points for some Xbox game pass when they were expiring. Does this mean I could redeem Nintendo points for Lego points and then redeem them for Xbox game pass?!
@nessisonett its awful, my main exposure comes from the bing app that collates headlines. I hate even having the temptation to scroll through it for my own morbid fascination. I only have the app to get the reward points, I wish there was some way to get rid of the "news"!
But yeah, honestly, they are all as bad as eachother. No matter what side of the line you fall on and how much their ideologies align with your own. Their articles are designed to get a rise out of you. The more emotional they make you then the more susceptible you become. It's like a never ending spiral.
I wish people would stop referring to UK papers as newspapers. They haven't reported News as long as I've been aware. Sure there is some information present, occasionally. But it's wrapped up in so much opinion, bias and scandal that the term "newspaper" is a complete misnomer for what these things actually are.
Managed to pick up the third season pass for this at 50% off last night with only 8 minutes left to go on the sale! That was close as I'd been waiting for that for a while!
@Enigk to be fair, I've only played the 3D version of ocarina of time as I had a PS1 at the time of its original release. Loved the game though, the 3D was trippy as hell and made the screen feel so much bigger than it was!
I think spin offs are good. Tales of the Borderlands is a great example. I loved that game having never played Borderlands. Then I tried the first game in the main series and found it painfully boring. I stuck it out and finished it though.
Ah it was a reader?! Congratulations to you, whoever you are!
This was an awesome and interesting read. I really like the part about perspective because at the end of the day, whatever you can imagine something is worth, you will only get what people are willing to pay for it. It's probably better to be pleasantly surprised than bitterly disappointed so kudos to you!
I'm thinking of contacting heritage auctions (they have a UK office) about my huge box of original Pokémon cards from the late 90s. I'm a bit nervous about it though because I'm unfamiliar with the whole process and I guess I'm a bit worried about letting strangers take them away from me without getting the money in my hand first, especially if they end up going to Texas for valuation. But yeah, I'm too old now and as much as I loved them at the time, they are probably the only thing I own of any value that I am willing to part with. I hope anything I make from them will go towards and help me get a start on the property ladder.
@Silly_G ahh cool fair enough that's good to know, cheers for the heads up!! I've been looking forward to this Sega one for so long now, I might even do a full price purchase 😅
Woop finally! Is this game going to have puzzles locked behind purchases of the other picross games though? I think the other games in the series had something like that...
So definitely no additional story to this DLC then? Except that screen of text? Tbf, might be worth it as the original games story was told through screens of text 😅
Im in the UK and have the American LRG physical copy for my UK Switch. Will the DLC on the UK switch eshop work if my physical game is from a different region?
@YorkshireNed it's so weird, i know absolutely nothing about the game and only mentioned the film because the article mentioned a school setting and the logo too.
I can't imagine how that film would adapt into a game tbh either! It's pretty semi-obscure film to adapt too. I may dig further into this 😅
Or maybe I'll just watch If (and it's quasi semi spiritual sequels) again because I'm in the mood for it now 😅
Can never have too many 3DSs 😂. I've got a normal, a 2DS, a New 3DS XL (SNES edition) and a 2DS XL. I would have had a fifth one if they released the Hylian Shield 2DS in the UK.
Only thing I'm gutted about is selling my original aqua blue 3DS because the L button was broken. The new cosmos black one had a different screen that had a yellow hue to it so it wasn't as vibrant as the original screen!
I played classic Doom death match with 3 other people on a job once. It was rubbish and I could barely see anything. I used the charging stand as a stand because the kickstand might as well be a toothpick.
I also played a stranger at street fighter 2 at an old job. Which was fine I guess because it wasn't split screen. Also it wasn't my Switch that I was risking falling over due to a crumby kickstand
@Shambo 😂 that certainly does sound premium! In fact, you've convinced me. Carved Yggdrasil used to bear Jesus before being recycled for use by Snake?! I've just pre-ordered!
@KingMike cheers, I didn't fancy chopping the the thing up at the time. I have a master system 2 anyway so the adapter was more a.novelty than anything!
Actually it's the only way I can play the games that were on those little card things. The MS2 didn't have a card slot like the MS1!

My interest in this game is piqued!

That's lame about the download code expiry.

Re: Talking Point: Just How 'Finished' Is Your Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Save File?
I'm not sure what my stat is or if I even knew there was one. I'll have to boot up the Wii U when I get home to have a look
I know for definite though, that I have everything in the game except one of the bridles from doing the hardest horseback archery course!
Re: Random: New Pokémon Snap Player Builds Their Own Gyro Camera Controller
@NEStalgia oh right fair enough 😅. Too bad my teachers didn't drill better comprehension skills into my brain!

Re: Random: New Pokémon Snap Player Builds Their Own Gyro Camera Controller
@Vermiand collective pronouns are used interchangeably with singular pronouns here in the UK, moreso in certain regions.
"Let us know if you're going to the pub later"
"They're going to get away with it!"
"Their controller is cool"
Re: Did You Know That Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Borrows Its Most Ingenious Puzzle From Another Game?
@Dragonslacker1 on 2ds there is a switch that puts the console in sleep mode which is the same as closing the screen
I believe you just press the home button on the Wii U version and it auto solves, not sure

Re: Poll: Zelda: Skyward Sword HD's Biggest Question - How Do You Pronounce Fi?
Primark or preemark!
I've actually called her Fee all these years because I guess it's like the shortening of the name Sophie which can sometimes be Fi
When i played the remaster though, my partner referred to her as Figh
