Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is perhaps one of the most underrated fighting games to date and well worth your time if you are a fan of the series. When this title first arrived on the Switch eShop earlier this year, it was a little light on content. Since then, the developer nWay has bolstered the value of the game by adding in more fighters and more stages.
The latest news regarding Battle for the Grid is the reveal of Lord Zedd – a fighter that will be made "available soon" alongside Trey of Triforia and Jen Scotts in the Season One Pass. Anyone purchasing this pass will also receive a bonus character skin of Jason Lee Scott with Dragon Shield. If you only want Lord Zedd or one of the other fighters, you can purchase each one individually.
Take a look at the trailer above and tell us if you've tried out this fighting game on your Switch yet.

So a game that was "A Promising Fighter Undone By Publisher Greed" is getting more content you can buy after buying the game.
Color me surprised?
I was the kid growing up who couldn't watch Power Rangers because it was too violent but Dragon Ball was okay because it was a "cartoon". lol
As a result I know nothing about Power Rangers and have zero nostalgic attachment to it aside from this one quirky story.
My mother was also worried about "Pokemon being black magic and devil worship" at one point. And the same thing with Harry Potter. Though she got over those quickly.
When are we getting Psycho Rangers?
Got the game for free through a BOOM Comics Twitter contest. Really fun. One of the best PR games to date. Looking forward to playing as Zedd
Some might like this game, but apparently not people who shop a Limited Run Games. As this game took forever to sell out in the limited edition (3,000 games).
I had no idea this game was getting more content because... I forgot this game existed.
Well, Jen Scotts is probably the only DLC I'll get for the game. Probably the only other ones that could tempt me are RJ, Ziggy, Taylor, Kruger, Shelby, Kendal, or Karone (in her Galaxy Pink appearance). And honestly, only RJ stands a chance of showing up I'd wager.
Maybe someone like Lotor, Mesagog, Trakeena or Ransik too, but I doubt we'll see any post Space villains.
Zedd's super gets all of my yes. Hmm, I wonder how much this game has improved from it's initial release?
@link3710 When you say Taylor, are you referring Wild Force Yellow? Soaring Eagle?
Will definitely grab Zedd at some point. Looks beastial. Love his super.
Zedd is without a doubt one of the greatest Power Rangers villains of all time. At least they aren't adding Ivan Ooze since he was too cheap in the original Power Rangers Movie game.
@Torakaka It wasn't a MMPR movie game, it was a MMPR fighting game based on seasons 2 & 3.
The Super where he called out the Puddies actually made me laugh, but he indeed looks amazing! _
I love the fact that Zedd's finally in the game, but...what's up with his voice?! Doesn't even sound REMOTELY like Zedd. Neither him, nor the Putties.
Also, I'm still pissed off at nWay for going "No, we won't ever do a physical of the game" and then the Limited Run showing up.
Also, while the game still plays great, matchmaking has become terrible - I used to be able to get so many matches and now I'm lucky if I connect to even one. And we still need more than the 5 stages we have...
@BacklogBlues maybe because it's over priced for the content? I only bought the deluxe edition at launch for the pre order bonus (because I am a sucker) and it still worked out like £3 more than the game plus season pass combined, just for a few skins!
I don't think I could double dip with the limited run mark up though I would've waited if I knew there was a physical release coming.
As the Power Rangers fan I am it pains me to say I will not support this game until a complete version is available. For a 3V3 fighter it's so light on its roster it doesn't even make sense! At least Blazblue Crosstag had a decent roster for 2v2 and had 2 characters DLC free (Blake and Yang).
@GameOtaku exactly! love smart people. Don't support games like this that aren't even actually finished. I bet Zedd wouldn't be in there if other people didn't complain how little choices you get in the game. By not buying they will get it it wasn't enough to please people. Bring your A game!
Too busy for games this year, maybe next year?
You absolutely might be right @ralphdibny as someone who buys over 60% of the Limited Run Games Switch releases i did notice that the Power Rangers limited Edition was one of their more/most expensive limited releases(therefore could of been/been seen as overpriced).
@BacklogBlues it's the same thing Yooka Laylee had, I think it's roughly the same price as the BFTG deluxe edition which means the physical is that+mark up. It certainly made me reconsider getting Yooka Laylee so now I am waiting for it to have a reasonable sale on switch that matches it's frequent sale price on PS4. Though tbh I just meant the digital version of btfg was overpriced for its launch content!
The perfect storm for me buying from limited run is, 1. I don't own the game digitally, 2. It's under $30 (Im in the UK so shipping is normally another $15)
Also I seem to favour FMV games for some reason...my three purchases from limited run have been night trap (collector's edition, I couldn't resist the video tape) and the upcoming dragons lair and double switch...just hoping corpse killer gets a Nintendo switch release too!
Edit: such a shame I bought btfg digitally because I really dug that steelbook and Morpher coin selection!
Yea Yooka Laylee is the only one i wanted physically but bought digitally instead because of the price($59 with tax & shipping). And i live in the U.S where Best Buy sells over 80% of Limited Run Games Switch releases including Yooka Laylee which saves you $8 so i could've bought it there.(no shipping cost at Best Buy).
@Knuckles The one and only. Taylor Earhardt and Jen Scott were my favorite rangers growing up.
I really want this more now. At some point, it'll go on sale...
I'll get the GOTY version of this game. Theres way too much cut content atm
