Guardians of Azuma was such a great game. I could do another 50-hour run, no problem.

DK is honestly a really cool game. I beat it at launch and have since been going back in bits and pieces to 100% it, and it's just super creative and really neat. I think I appreciate it more every time I take a little break and go back to it.

For a game like this, I don’t see the performance difference being all that meaningful, so I’ll just get the physical edition.

Guardians of Azuma is amazing. A game hasn’t made me so invested in a loooong time.

I’ve never played this series, but I’ve been playing the demo for like 5 hours now and absolutely love it.

Can’t wait for release! I’m just getting the Switch 1 version physically and playing on my 2 without the upgrade. It looks beautiful in the demo already, which I assume is the Switch 1 version?

Yea, that and it may also be an indicator of which devs received Switch 2 kits early enough to put a good amount of effort into their games.

Kind of shocking that Ubisoft wouldn't receive an early kit, though, given how closely they've worked with Nintendo.

Wow, this is genuinely a bit shocking. Awesome, for sure, but still a pretty shocking ratio.

It's one of those games where I was kinda "meh" on the first playthrough, but when I gave it a second spin, I really enjoyed it.

And I think this is more than just a visual upgrade - I thought I read that they've tightened up the controls and camera a bit, which were the two biggest sore spots. Movement, especially rolling and flying, was too floaty. And the camera had your classic camera problems.

I played Outlaws soooo much as a kid.

That’s actually really really cool. I wouldn’t have played this game otherwise. I love Indy and I love Tomb Raider games.

Honestly, this game sucked me in unlike anything since BotW. It was absolutely fantastic, and I've never even played a Rune Factory game before lol I was just looking for something else physical for my Switch 2, and 50 hours later here I am haha

I don’t know. Any Direct that shows me 5ish games I definitely want to purchase when they launch is pretty good in my eyes.

Uhm… ok? So I’ll just buy the Switch 1 cart? Maybe it’ll still get a slight performance boost just running on a Switch 2. Loading times or whatever, that’s fine.

With one of these HD-2D turn-based games I don’t see what the big difference would be anyway.

Such a good game. Never played it until now, and I’m glad I got it! Cool to see it getting more stuff. I beat it a few times already to see some different endings, but I can see myself going back after DK.

What are you even talking about? You can still put the cartridge in a Switch 2 and see some technical benefits without getting the upgrade. The review specifically mentions it.

I never did grips and stuff like that for Switch, and I don’t plan on starting now lol

For me, the biggest thing they nailed here is the "feel " of the controls and gameplay. It's just so much fun to play - the feel of the drifting, the items, the physics... how getting hit by stuff is always a bit different depending on angle, speeds, etc. Bullet bills, for instance, usually just bump you out of the way rather than stopping you dead, same with hitting cars or barriers depending on speed. It's a joy to play!

I'm having a blast in MK World right now, but I'm planning on jumping back to one of these in a bit. I played BotW pretty extensively but never collected everything back in the day. Tears I barely scratched the surface, though I did beat it after 70 hours haha. It's nice that they're include with NSO Expansion Pack. Gives me a "free" game to bridge the gap to Bonanza.

Easy purchase. Switch 1 if all on the cart, no biggie.

It wouldn’t be a “waste” because I know I would use it a ton, but I’m holding off for now due to the price.

I’m also someone who sort of liked using the joycon with the grip, and now that they’re bigger, it’ll be even more of a non-issue.

Do a regular physical release and I’m in.

Sands of Time is one of my favorite gaming memories from high school. Played it over the summer on PS2, and it was just one of those adventures that I couldn’t wait to pick up every day and play for another couple hours.

I just keep wondering: from the business side of things, why only offer the one size? Is it a supply chain thing? Does it equate to saving oodles of money? I don't get it.

It's a great game, and it's no less great now than it was in its prior forms.

True. But nowadays most games have so many patches and DLCs… it would be extremely impractical.

This game has already had at least one major free DLC prior to this one, which is what makes me think you’re just here to stir the pot, not out of any love or knowledge for this game.
