Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Ports We'd Love To See In 2021

okeribok

Nobody asked for the Stalker games yet? I know they are interested, but need a porting party.
Also: Halo Spartan strike was a nice twin sick shooter on mobile. Not gonna happen.
Then Infinity Blade trilogy would bring interesting gameplay when done with joy con. But now Epic and Chair have fortnite, so r.i.p.

@clvr Two inputs competing sounds exactly like what’s happening. The steam controller is also supported in steam XD. Weird that wolfenstein (also a bethesda title) does have nice gyro aim and DE does not.
Anyhow, I am now used to playing with mouse and keyboard and some fights really benefit from accuracy. I do find that I don’t actually play it that much, because my PC is my workplace and not where I go to relax. Maybe if I get around to the steam streaming thing...

Re: Review: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - Not The Zelda Game You Want, But Perhaps The One You Need

"Not a proper Zelda game". That's like, your opinion man. You get to play as Zelda. Which "proper" Zelda game lets you do that?
I find 8/10 very low for hwaoc. Especially since NL is often very generous for first party games.
Since Gavin so obviously is not a musou-man, one needs to add 1.4 points for hwaoc for being:...
THE BEST MUSOU ON SWITCH RN!
It has more variation in move sets, more depth of story and character, more verticality, better music and more love went into it than any other musou title on Switch.
Just watch Tris Valbuena from gamexplain talk about hwaoc for hours and discover how a musou fan experiences it.

Re: Video: Does Cloud Gaming Work On The Nintendo Switch?

The license for games like control on Switch should be able to revert to PC licences after they stop the service, and the app should (then) be able to stream from your own PC.
But then: would you prefer a port (Witcher, Doom, etc) with lesser graphics and greater price, or would you prefer to stream from your PC? PC prices for the same games are often much lower and even a cheap PC has more graphics horse power than Switch. But at the cost of some more hardware, with a much higher power use; Switch is a very planet-friendly way to game.

@BenAV as horrible as mobile F2P is, it is very widespread. It does impact console gaming, because mobile gaming is more convenient (device you already own) and loading times are often much, much faster. It is way easier to play a game for just a couple of minutes, while for example Splatoon 2 goes out of its way to make sure you plan to play for a longer time by way of the news announcements. How “good” it is to be able to play for a couple of minutes might be a reason for Nintendo to choose this path and indicate that faster loading times are not a priority for consoles...

Re: Best Cheap Nintendo Switch Games - Switch eShop Deals (Europe)

Nobody appears to be talking about Killer Queen Black and its awesomeness, while everybody should. It got great additions after release and was already one of the greatest single screen eight player games ever to hit the Switch. Get it now and marvel at snail victory, sweaters and starvation!

Re: Koei Tecmo Hopes To Make "More Interesting Games" Like Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity In The Future

okeribok

@Jojarett87 I get enjoyment out of using abilities just right. Now that there will be a real story in there too and playing in areas I already love, makes the hype pretty massive.
Any other “interesting” musou should probably also feature the same familiar areas and characters and add story details. Other open world Nintendo ip would be obvious choices. Xenoblade is the most obvious choice. But since hw:aoc was a total surprise, they might pick another ip. Astral chain would rock, but it has very few candidate characters. I guess any new Astral Chain would be welcome.
But what about a pikmin musou? Or Kirby? Or Doom? Oh wait, that already is basically musou...

Re: DOOM Eternal Switch Release Still Happening, id Software Says It's "Very Close"

@NinjaSyao thanks for the tip! I am trying multiple methods (dualshock 4 with ds4windows, steam controller and switch pro controller), but some games (bethesda) respond differently. Super hot mind control delete, horizon zero dawn, star wars battleftont work perfectly, but doom is unplayably stuttery. Playing around with the setting requires relaunching and even with m.2 ssd it is still slow.

Hope the new pro switch will have faster and more storage!
