Exercise, whether you're a fan of it or not, is arguably more important than ever after the year we've had, and to help encourage everyone, peripheral manufacturer Hori is releasing a special cushioned mat for the Nintendo Switch title Ring Fit Adventure.
Yes, if you've been getting by with a regular yoga mat, you can now upgrade to this fancy new one that can be spread out or folded in half. When folded in half, the mat's extra padding makes certain exercises easier on the body. The design of its surface means it won't slip, either.
The dimensions of this mat are 610 mm x 1,800 mm and there's a thickness of 4 mm when spread out and 8 mm folded.
This special Ring Fit Adventure exercise mat will go on sale in Japan on 2nd July this year and is priced at ¥6,470 (around $57/£41), according to an Amazon listing.
There's no word on this mat being made available outside of this region just yet, but if we hear anything, we'll be sure to let you know. Would you be interested in a Ring Fit Adventure mat? Tell us down below.

Not original enough.... an additional microtransaction

EDIT: /s
Looks fresh! I'd buy it if I still played the game and had space to put it.
I would buy this if it came to U.S.!
I was super tempted until I saw the price, ouch. But when my current ¥1000 mat has died I may consider it a good investment...
I won't go too deep into the gruesome details, but I don't take very good care of my feet, and I frequently walk around barefoot (especially since quarantine) and as such, have developed thick calluses. Apparently if your feet get too dry, and you stomp in place as fast as you can over and over on hardwood floors while playing Ring Fit, you can crack your heels. And it sucks.
I'm not saying anyone needs to spend a bunch of money on an official Ring Fit Adventure pad... but you know... maybe investing in a pad to exercise on isn't the worst thing you can do.
Also, moisturizing your feet more often, apparently.
I'd like one, that said it probably doesn't offer much advantage over a conventional exercise pad.
My main problem with doing Ring Fit exercises is the leg strap won't stay in place, it slides on most of my trousers.
@Desrever yikes. Sorry toe hear that. I hope you heel quickly.
This company will really Hori itself out for a dollar
I already have a yoga mat, bro! HHUUUGHHH!!! 💪💪💪 (😉)
RingFit mat probably costs one MILLION
dollarsplatinum MyNintendo points. MWWha hahaha! (doctor evil)@RupeeClock ive settled on placing it directly on my thigh at this point. sweat gets on it more but that also encourages me to clean the gear more frequently too
@KillerBOB : Rawr!!!
I don't know what the going rate of fitness mats are, but in Aussie dollars, that thing is nearly as much as the current sale price for the game itself (and it will probably exceed it after shipping).
Tempting though, but I'm too embarrassed to be seen playing it.
My wife wanted this for about three seconds... until she saw the price!
$57 USD? That's gonna be a "no" from me, dawg. Realistically, this thing should be $20 max. The folding feature shouldn't jack up that price tag a ton.
I use the Ikea PLUFSIG mat. Nice and thick at 3.2cm. And less than half the price of the hori mat.
@RupeeClock Play naked
Oh my God I would LOVE THIS. Please release this outside of Japan, HORI!!!
Some companies have no idea how to price their products.
So it's basically the NES Power Pad. Yeah okay
As much as I love Ring Fit Adventure, $57 for a piece of foam is ridiculous. My $20 yoga mat will do just fine.
@EvrgrnCmln
This sounds way more nefarious when the notification emails omit emoji.
If it is the tougher reinforced foam it could be worth the money but for me it still won't fly as I do not have the game but I can see this as a collectible.
Over here! At 29,99 Euro max.
Considering a yoga mat without the Ring Fit brand goes for 25-40$ it's a little pricey imo.
Feels a tad bit pricey so i hope the quality delivers the money's worth cause I am definitely planning on buying me one!
@RupeeClock wear workout leggings or shorts
Hori is really going for all angles for gaming accessories.
I love Ring Fit and still play regularly, but I'll pass on this
Yeah, or you could just buy a fitness map for 10 bucks😁
I have a yoga mat I use so may not need this, had it dropped when game came out o would’ve had it but now not as much, still nice though
Or you can buy similar mat in a local store for way less.
Looks good and it is not so expensive. Will keep it in my mind.
This has been available to pre-order for weeks now. Nothing new.
Does this one heal your character?
