Re: Random: Knock-Off Switch Joy-Con Controller Might Not Look Wireless, But It Actually Is

molliolli182

Coming from a personal experience: no cheap 3rd party controller has ever been as good as a 1st party one. I’ve had some for the original playstation, wii and one wii u pro controller knock off too. And I’ve come to conclusion that I’ll only buy official controllers as they are the only ones that I think are good to play with. Durable, buttons feel responsive, etc.
That said, I have never tried any of those expensive premium 3rd party controllers that even have customisable extra buttons. I don’t need those extra features (and extra price) even if those controllers were good.
But my point being, a controller is not a place I want to cheap out and try to save money. I’ll save it elsewhere, like buying games used or later when the price drops.

Re: Nintendo Classic Mini Double Pack Releasing In Japan On 15th September

molliolli182

No, I’d rather have an universal Nintendo classic that would have the best games from multiple Nintendo systems. Nes, snes, n64, gb,gbc, gba,gc. These things look good no doubt but I don’t really need many devices when a single one could handle them all (a rasp pi has proven this right).
Wich brings me to my main point: people already have switches, just bring the games to a virtual console already. It prints more money to sell games 5-10/ piece than a mini console with 30 games for 70.
Also, one single devices (switch) would be more convinient anyway.

Re: Video: Get A First Look At Diablo III: Eternal Collection Running On Nintendo Switch

molliolli182

@TidusUK I hear you! Definitely these kinda releases are for people in the same situation as you. I was thinking more of those who already played a game on a different platform but need to play it second time, handheld, on a bus. Those who could just replay it at home cos they have time.
Not that there’s something wrong in double dipping. I just personally would buy a game I didn’t already have on one platform already. And just to mention, I may not have kids or pets or nothing with my significant other, I have a job and other hobbies the gaming (gym, music, outdoors). I don’t necessary always have hours and hours of game time, that’s why I love the switch. I can fill all the little gaps in between things. But I still would rarely double dip.

Re: Video: Can Homemade Wireless Hacks Work On Hori's D-Pad Joy-Con Controller?

molliolli182

@paihia I think so too. I just tried to play crash bandicoot handheld with a regular joycon. The directional button placement is just awkward so I ended up playing with the joystick. And even before I thought why didn’t hori (or some other company) make a joycon that had the D-pad (or directional buttons) and joystick had swapped places. It would be the ultimate 2D platformer / fighter controller for the switch.

Re: Video: Get A First Look At Diablo III: Eternal Collection Running On Nintendo Switch

molliolli182

I never played this so I might get it on switch. Not day one but later on.
To those who say they’ll double (or triple) dip for the portability...I never really have been into that ”OMG I NEED to play THIS on a waiting room for the doctors”. I mean, why not just play something else there? If I have a game on a portable system first, then I’ll enjoy it on the go. But if I have it on a pure home console, then why not enjoy it just at home?
Anyone can spend their money as they wish, just saying how I would rather buy a game I never played before

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Urges Game Developers To Embrace Subscription-Based Services

molliolli182

I am all in for subscription based gaming. You pay a fixed price (a month / six months / a year) and then you’ll get all games released, free for you to play. And if you don’t renew the subscription you’ll lose the access.
But at least two things need to be takin in account. First, the games need to be GOOD. Someone needs to take the time and double check the consumers are getting quality, finished products. It’s too easy to flood the service with half-assed and/or unfinished broken titles. We’re going to need the Nintendo seal of quality back.
And second, the games need to be downloadable. I’m not going to pay to stream games. It’s not gonna work (at least not yet).

Re: Nintendo Download: 9th August (Europe)

molliolli182

@wazlon thanks! Kinda like my thoughts I had already. I usually don’t double dip on games unless they have significant improvements or extra content and then I usually sell the original/previous i have.
I just played trough Kirby star allies and it wasn’t my cup..just something with the setting of the game and the graphical style put me off. And it was my first Kirby game I ever played. So I might like the older kirby-games if some.
Pikmin games are also new to me so I’m not sure if I like the series. Ever oasis is the only one I’ve been checking for a while now. So I might get that one from the sale

Re: Nintendo Download: 9th August (Europe)

molliolli182

Someone who has played the 3DS ones: should I get hey pikmin, kirby or ever oasis? I kinda like platformers and rpg:s equally and I haven’t played those yet.
Also: is the mario and luigi worth double dipping if I own the original? How about Yoshi & poochy if I have the wii u-version?

Re: PowerA Stocking Officially-Licensed Chrome Edition Pro Controllers

molliolli182

@g_ruz Yeah those are good points to go for a wireless. I still would pay extra for a wireless one, even tho it was for a spare when someone comes over to play. But that’s just me. Also I would pay extra for hd rumble and gyro and such.
And in my opinion the colorways still look cheap and ugly. I don’t wanna hate these controllers but I don’t really like them either.

Re: Panic Button Dreams Of Porting Horizon Zero Dawn To Nintendo Switch

molliolli182

For me the graphics aren’t the reason to play games. Sure I like nice looking titles if they are fun to play. But recently I’ve been playing Kirby on the switch, handheld mode. And it looks pretty damn good even tho it’s not a photorealistic open world game with all the bells and whistles.
It it impressive how they have ported all those demanding games to the switch and made them run perfectly. But I think the main focus of porting games should be just to show off that you can.

Re: Get Your Buzz On With Bee Simulator, A Brand New Game Coming To Switch

molliolli182

I wish it had an over the top style beehive building part too where you had to defend the hive from enempien. Then you’d build certain things to get new missions to go on. And those missions would be FPS style flying, varying from collecting resources to attacking missions and stealth info gathering. And then throw in some RPG elements to get exp and new abilities for your bee(s).

Re: Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu And Eevee Demo Reveals How Shiny Pokémon Will Be Found

molliolli182

I think the shinies will still be rare. But now you don’t have to go to a battle screen to know if you have found a shiny. It’s not like making the game easier, it’s just like taking an unnecessary loading screen away.
Everyone hating this can go play pokemon red where you have to play halfway trough just to even get a bicycle, just to have to scroll trough the menus to even equip it.
Some things in video games are there for just to make the experience better. If those conviniencies are annoying, one can always go back playing old rpg:s without even saving.

That said, I like battling wild Pokemon and would like to see that feature even in these let’s go-games. But getting rid of random encounters and seeing my opponent is a huge plus for me.

Re: Ken Sugimori Wants Pokémon Designs To Be As Memorable As Possible

molliolli182

@UmbreonsPapa I think they should add just a handful with every gen. Just the best ones. Maybe like 20-50 new pokemon in each new generation, then we would have the benefits of cool new creatures without the bloat of 800+ species I surely can’t name.
I always wondered, for example, why do we need so many different bug pokemon. And those variants of dogs. Have more stuff from folklore (as you mentioned) and mythology but make them as regular pokemon, not something like a legendary.

Re: Ken Sugimori Wants Pokémon Designs To Be As Memorable As Possible

molliolli182

My take why the first, maybe three, gens were so much memorable: not that they were simpler or had a better story behind them. It’s that the first generations already had everything that can resemble a reasonable living creature. Now it’s just hard to make up a monster that is different from previous but still something that COULD be from this world.
Too much is too much. He should stop making different creatures and instead take the best 400 and flesh them out more. Where they come from etc.

Re: Gallery: Sonic Mania Plus Is The Version Of Sonic Mania You've Always Wanted

molliolli182

I loved Sonic 1 and 2 as a kid, never had the third one until later on so I don’t have nostalgia for that one. But as soon as this dropped I knew I needed to play it. And I kinda hoped for a physical game to be announced so I never bought the digital. Now I’ve had the physical pre-ordered (for 24,95 euros including shipping) for a while. I can’t wait to finally experience the game!

Re: Nintendo Wants To Release 20-30 Indie Games Every Week On Switch

molliolli182

Ok so how about 5-10 indie games per week and make sure they are quality ones. Or else just make it so the eshop has a category named ”very cheap crappy games you’ll play for give minutes”.
Yeah it’s kind of a merit to say you have hundreds of games in your eshop. But I’d rather be proud of ten good ones than a hunderd of mediocore or hundreds of bad ones.

Re: Dragon Quest And Legend Of Zelda-Inspired RPG Tanzia Is Headed To Switch This Month

molliolli182

I don't mind those graphics. Sure they look like something from early days of the gamecube but they are decent. And graphics aren't the reason why I play video games in the first place. But the artstyle is something I dislike. Those characters don't look appealing. Also that world looks like it's just as empty as Hyrule in ocarina of time.. If a smaller studio decides to make an open world 3D game then they should only make only so large that they can really fill it. Another option would have been to make the game look more like link between worlds or ocean horn.
Anyway the gameplay is what makes a game good or bad (for me at least) and judging by the trailer this will be mediocre at best. The main character just doesn't seem to move all that nice.

Re: Nintendo Is Considering A Successor To The 3DS According To Its New President

molliolli182

I wish Nintendo made something more like a GBA. Less power, smaller & simpler games that could easily be 16-32bit 2D stuff, small console. Something that's easy to grab with you and games that don't require that much to pick up and play. It would be a very different console when compared to the switch & 3DS. It would fill gap that neither of these current consoles really do.

Re: Review: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (Switch)

molliolli182

I own the originals on PS1 and have played the hell out of them. I also pre ordered the PS4 remaster and have completed it (not 100% tho). I don't think I need to double dip on this version even if the pricing is lower than a completely new game would have. If it's on sale digitally for like 20€ then I might be tempted, just for the portability.

Re: Nintendo Says Switch User Playtime Is Split 50-50 Between Docked And Handheld

molliolli182

I thought I'd play more on handheld mode. Like I would get the switch to play lying on bed and take it when I travel and such. And at first I did enjoy the handheld mode more, mostly at home still. For me the switch is too expensive to have with me to throw on my backpack (even on a hardened pouch) and I easily get a bit nauseous if I play in a train or in a car.
And the console is just a bit too large / heavy to hold for longer periods of time. So on the sofa trough the (not so big 32") tv with a pro controller is the most comfortable way to play the switch.
