Re: Video: Here's How Wolfenstein II On Switch Compares To Last Year's Home Console Version

molliolli182

Yeah the compromises made are noticeable when looked in slow motion and even on the normal speed if one looks closely. But during gameplay I don't think those frame rates or resolutions will be an issue if there's no slowdown. I mean, when I play a fast paced shooter I hardly think about small details unless they slow down the game.
If someone who is after graphics only plays this after experiencing it on PC then the difference is noticeable. But if the person has never even played the game, then I think the switch version will be just great. I have yet to complete the previous one (on PS4) and haven't played this one at all. I think I could easily get it on switch after (if) the price drops a bit. I rarely buy games new at the full price cos I hardly have time to play them right away because my backlog.

Re: These Bold And Bright Super Mario Odyssey Accessories Can Hold Your Switch In Style

molliolli182

That picnic-box seems convenient for someone who travels with the switch and needs the dock and all. I don't really need one but I see how someone will. The regular pouch is just a regular pouch for the console itself so I don't think there's anything special about it. But those designs have too much going on for my taste. I'd like something with less stuff. I have an all black (boring) quality hardened case for my switch and some carts in case I want to bring the console with me and I'm fine with it.

Re: Poll: As "Gaming Disorder" Becomes A Thing, Is It Time To Assess How Much You Play?

molliolli182

As a kid I think I had a slight problem as I woke up two hours before school started so I could play and I missed most of my homework because of games. But I just enjoyed gaming back then soooo much. As a teen I palyed almost as much, videogames were my escape from the world of getting bullied at school and having little friends to hang out with. But I think my english would be much worse without videogames. I also think videogames made me think and actually use my brain.
These days people have addictions to binge watching shows on netflix and just mindlessly messing with their phones & getting on social media. People don't connect as much with each other as they connect with their phones and tv shows. As big (or even bigger) problem as too much videogames.

Re: Octopath Traveler Won't Receive DLC According To The Game's Producer

molliolli182

I don’t really care for DLC. I like games that have planned out from start to finish and are a complete package straight from the release. If you think the game needs something more, don’t release it yet. If you come up with something good afterwards then make a sequel. Most games these days are way too long and large scale anyway. I mean sure we’ll get a good money-gameplay-ratio. But I personally don’t have time to fully complete or even start all the games I would like to, just because of all that content. I don’t mind paying 60 euros for a 20hr game if it’s a quality one. At least I have the time to finish it and it won’t get boring or repeatitive. And if the game isn’t a quality game then no amount of extra hours and side-missions wont save it.

Re: Dedicated Handheld Systems Are Still A Key Business Driver For Nintendo

molliolli182

I personally don't see why Nintendo couldn't have two (or even three) different systems at a time. A 2DS XL isn't even that expensive and there's plenty of games to play if we include the DS library too. I still have a huge backlog to play from both systems. And I do own a switch too.
I also don't get the hate about those 3DS screens. Sure they are lower resolution but I think they are just good quality, the games look nice and the brightness sure ain't a problem.
But I would like to see handheld gaming coming back to it's roots with less huge, large scale, hundreds of hours worth, HD-resolution games. Also I'd like the system to be small enough to actually get on my backpack whenever I travel or go hang out somewhere.
My new 3DS XL is on the verge of being portable enough if I don't have too much other stuff to take with me. A PSP is small enough and STURDY (also cheap) to take with me. My vita is just too shiny and precious so I'll just leave it home. And the switch. Oh boy. Way too large to be a travel-console for me.
So my suggestion would be to make console the size of the OG GBA and fill it with simpler 8-32 bit style retro-looking games that don't require 60+ hours to complete. Let that system co-exist with the switch (maybe with the 3DS too) and market it more towards casual gamers and kids.

Re: Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aimé Talks About His Feelings On Leaks In Gaming

molliolli182

I personally don't have a problem with leaks. I want to know what I am getting, it get's me hyped up for new releases. I also like to have something to chat with the gaming community. And it's not like the game is ruined from some leaked information about it.
Sure, if someone would leak the whole plot of a game I'm interested in buying I would not read/watch that.

Re: Pokémon's President Confirms 2019 RPG Will Include Many New Pokémon And Better Graphics

molliolli182

An open world with some limitations would be nice. And by limitations I mean like the player would need a certain skill or pokemon to get past. Or just simply that some areas would have Pokemon way too high level to enter at first. I also would like to have a camera that the player could rotate freely, but the game should still be third person view not first person. I don't care that much about the new pokemon-hype. I mean if the new ones are memorable and the game doesn't include every single pokemon from previous gens, then it's cool. But I wouldn't like to get anxious over catching all the 900-1000 monsters the game would have.

Re: Nintendo Has Updated The Switch eShop With New Functionality

molliolli182

I don't want music to the eshop. It might add loading times and what's more annoying than waiting for something to load and hear music you don't even care for?
I think Nintendo should make an effort to the OS of the console itself. Like add folders and make it so we could actually move games from system to SD and back.

Re: Soapbox: Pokémon GO’s ‘Casual’ Influence On The Mainline Series Is A Good Thing, At Least For Now

molliolli182

I think every new Pokemon game should have had either just a new set of monsters (like 150-200) without the chance of getting every single one, or they just might have added like 20 new each gen. I love the first 151. I liked the next 100. In gen they got a bit meh. And after that I don't there are much to remember besides legendaries & starters. Just too many filler 'mons. And it sure is overwhelming when you wish you could get all 800 but realize that without friends, pokemon bank, multiple 3DS consoles and hundreds of hours of time it's never gonna happen.
I think it's great to get back to just having the first gen Pokemon. Those 151 I can imagine capturing/trading.

I also kinda like not having random encounters. But it feels weird not to battle wild pokemon. But I might just get used to this simpler mechanic. I might just get used to the motion controls too, wich are the biggest turn-off in the game for me at the moment.

Re: Nintendo Has Created An Official Charging Stand For The Switch

molliolli182

It looks nice but is it too narrow? Is it going to fall easily?
I have owned my switch for like half a year now and I have used it on tabletop-mode for like 5 times. If I play docked it's always on tv with a pro controller and if I undock it I just play handheld.
So I don't see myself buying either this or any cheaper one even tho I'd find them cool. Also it's a bummer if there's no usb-ports.

Nintendo should make an official portabe dock life the SFANS one for those times you travel with the console. Like when you stay at a hotel or visit some relatives or something.

Re: Video: Here's How Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Might Have Looked On Game Boy Color

molliolli182

Link's awakening was the first Zelda-game I ever played. I had not even heard about it (no internet in our house back in the early 2000) until I got to upgrade my gameboy pocket to a color. In the box of the color was some sort of pictures of the game and I just stared at those pics thinking "I NEED that game". I don't know how I figured out what the game was but eventually I got it (not sure if I bought it or had it as a present for b-day or x-mas). It was the deluxe version.
Anyway because it was my first zelda, I still think it's the best one of the series closely followed by the gba-port of link to the past, wich was the second zelda-game I ever played.
Having a new zelda in the style of this would absolutely blow my mind!

Re: Embrace A Different Kind Of Virtual Console On Switch With The Adventures of Elena Temple

molliolli182

I did not grow up with all those really old retro-consoles. I had a megadrive and a gameboy pocket but Playstation was already released then and gbc was soon to come. So I did not play those games or own consoles older than the megadrive. I don’t even have any means to buy old gaming machines because I would not find playing them ”fun”. But this is appealing to me. It has the graphics from the late 80’s and a very simple gameplay. If it’s cheap then it’s a great time-killer for me.

Re: Nintendo's Shinya Takahashi Hints That A New Games System Is On The Horizon

molliolli182

Switch pro or some kind of new switch so that the console itself is actually smaller and more portable but the dock contains more horsepower to get more out of games? I actually would not like it, I hate it when companies make those 1.5 systems that don't allow completely new stuff as the old 1.0 system needs to be compatible with the games too.
But gameboy mini classic, but with gbc games too. Like the best 50 games. Or then a new add on the gameboy line itself. Like a gameboy HD that has it's own cart slot and wireless connections. Online and local multiplayer, virtual console eshop with all the classic gb, gbc, gba games. Small and portable with new games that don't look like those wannabe 3d polygon games in ds/3ds. Just some 16bit style graphics.

Re: Sonic Mania Plus Arrives On Switch This Summer

molliolli182

Glad I held off buying the digital. I've been wanting to play it so bad but as a sonic fan I kinda wanted a physical version. Most games are just fine as digital but some I just need to have on the shelf. The artbook is also a nice bonus. Now to just decide if it's ps4 or switch version for me. Switch might win for the portability, but if it's the normal 15 euros more, then I'll get the ps4 version.

Re: Rumour: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Might Be Spinning Its Way Onto Switch

molliolli182

I wish this would happen. The crash trilogy is awesome and this way more people could enjoy it. Also being portable is a huge plus.
I own these already. The physical psone versions, the ps store versions on ps3 (had them on my vita too). I also have the remaster on ps4. I really don’t need these on my switch, but if the price is right or/and it has some special content. Include ctr too and I’ll buy it instantly.
A new crash game would be cool too.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Service Will Go Live This September

molliolli182

Seems like a great deal. But what kind of content will it have? GBA? GC? Even WII-titles? DS stuff?
I don’t want to complain here but I don’t think Mario Bros. 3 alone would be a reason to get on board. I think I have played the title on enough platforms already. I mean, it IS nice to have all the classics on one console for the times you get the itch to play them. But if it’s just the same old classics? 20 for a year is cheap. I admit it. Still I need a reason for the cheapness. Otherwise I’d just buy small rocks if someone said they are cheap.

Re: Kimishima Talks Nintendo’s 3DS Strategy Going Forward

molliolli182

GBA VC on the 3DS would be awesome. Maybe more GBC and SNES titles too. And make them cross buy with the upcoming switch virtual console. I know switch is a portable machine, but I rarely even remove it from the dock. Maybe some times if the lady wants to watch the tv or something. I never TaKe it outside our apartment cos it’s big, doesn’t have that great battery life and I’m afraid I’ll break the damn thing. With my new 3DS XL, I dont’t have those issues. Yes the 3DS battery life sucks too when compared to the ds lite for example. But it still lasts enough, and fits better to my backpack (I carry other stuff too).

Re: Review: Pokémon Crystal Version (3DS eShop)

molliolli182

I have all the originals. Boxes, manuals and all. Their batteries are drained tho and I should get new ones.
I used to play the crap out of gold with my gameboy. I finished silver and this one too, but I think this is the one I could see myself buying again.

Re: Review: Unepic (Switch eShop)

molliolli182

I Have it on ps4/vita as a digital. I should play and finish it as I think it’s great. But I wont double dip. I have currently played it on vita as a portable game on trips.
If I had it on wii u, I might just get it on switch as I barely turn my wii u on these days..

Re: Feature: Killer Apps We Really Want To See On Nintendo Switch

molliolli182

I can see how netflix or something could be useful to those who don’t have any other devices next to their tv. But why would we need facebook apps or any Sofian media to the switch when almost everyone has a smartphone or a tablet. The battery like when used as a handheld is not that great, it would just drain the playtime if one would check facebook from the switch. A browser could be useful if one was stuck in a game and could not progress. But in that case it would also just be easier to get the iphone from the pocket.
I wish Nintendo would keep the switch as a gaming console only. Do just one thing and do it right, not a milloin things that are ”just ok”. If social media is a must, just add a feature to share clips and screenshots to a linked facebook accounts wall and that’s it.
But what the switch needs is an improved eshop, virtual console, folders in the main screen of the OS. And some sort of trophies. They just make it more appealing to replay and find everything from a game.

Re: Nintendo Reiterates That It's Not Interested In Virtual Reality Or 4K Support

molliolli182

@Savino I think the point was they don’t want to include technology ppl don’t already have and would have to buy separately. Yes, touch in DS and motion in WII were first(ish) to their kind. But they were included with the consoles. So it wasn’t like ”this thing COULD do motion controls IF you were to buy a motion controller and a transmitter”.
I think this gen would have done just fine without 4k and vr.

Re: Video: Retro Emulation Finally Comes To Switch Following Homebrew Hacking Efforts

molliolli182

I want to have an official firmware on my systems and play official games on them. Psp is the only system I’ve put retro games on, and to be honest it does not feel rewarding or even that fun to play those games on it. Whenever I decide to buy a game, I’ll think it trough and make sure it’s a game I’ll enoja. I might not play it right always, but when that moment comes it feels like I want and need to play it. Cos I bought it. If I put some roms on an emulator, it’s basically all the same if I even play the games. It just leaves me feeling hollow inside. It’s cool how ppl can do things like this but I wish Nintendo would make this possible by themselves. And by ”this” I mean giving us their old games. Not for free ofc but with a reasonable price tag.
