At this point id eat my own toes for some sort of folder system. It's mind blowing they haven't rolled it out yet with how many games you can buy on the eshop now.

@Nincompoop Haha, I kind of agree. It's good and bad, on the good side I can be extremely picky about what I play and still have a backlog, on the downside I know I'm missing gems in the absolute flood of releases.

If the Famicom Mini didn't have that awful shrunken controller I'd consider it, the price isn't bad at about $135usd.

I'm holding out for 3DO games to get ported.

@FTL I could be mistaken, but I don't think software updates are going to require a subscription to Nintendo's online service.

@dimi Yea, plus games are wildly more expensive to produce than music with modern recording technology.

Would be nice to see Nintendo dip into tasteful merch sales though, something borrowed from the music industry. I could get down on some well made shirts and such from games I like.

I love how simplistic it is but lack of folders actually just makes it cluttered now that so many games are out. I'd love some way to just put all the games I've finished into a "Completed" folder to clean up the ui a bit.

@kepsux Why would people buy a Swiitch game to play a free smartphone game that you still need your smartphone for?

I live in Tokyo quite close to Shinjuku. I jog in the park here and there are always people playing there, and near Shinjuku station there are almost always literal crowds of people in certain areas playing, I guess there are gyms or whatever in those places. I'm not super familiar with the game so I'm not actually clear on what they are doing, hahahaha.

@thesilverbrick I totally agree. When the Swiitch camee out my thirst for more games landed me with the regret of buying Snake Pass. Just a frustrating and boring experience, never saw a bit of fun in it at all.

My dock came bent from the factory and my TV stand doesnt have any logical place to put ithe dock without it blocking my screen so I ran a USB-C extension cable from my dock (hidden behind my TV) to a convenient place in front of my TV. Works great, but something more portable and official would be nice to see from Nintendo someday.

@Vriess inverting camera controls and lowering the talking volume both work on the Swiitch release. Funny so many people have the same exact complaints.

Never played it, playing it now, enjoying it. Also, got a physical copy a 10 min walk from my house, just rubbing it in a bit.

Pixel density isn't there yet. But it sucked in 1995 and that didn't stop them from trying.

waiting for an android port

Machine translation is getting better fast, but it's still a long way from being ready to rely on for anything as serious as product release. Especially for languages as vastly different as English and Japanese. It kind of blows my mind people don't realize this.

Picked up The Wonderful 101 for $10 used a few days ago so I'm giving it a go.

@KIRO Yea, is suspect a majority of people play in handheld mode at home, or just play docked. Which essentially makes it a WiiU, hahahahahhaa.

I've lived in the Tokyo area since shortly after the 3DS launch in 2011 and saw the explosion of frequency you'd see people of all walks of life playing on the 3DS in public here, something very less common with the Swiitch. Its doing well in sales, but it doesn't seem to have the same cultural grip on Japan than the 3DS had. I assume it has to do with being less portable and competing with the rise of Smartphones (Japan adopted the smart phone en masse a few years later than other countries) so more people are playing at home, but that aside you just don't feel the same impact with the Swiitch.

I have an HDMI extension cable that runs from my dock to my Swiitch and it's worked great. The reason is I don't have a place to put the dock on my the stand where it won't block the view of the TV, so this way I can put the dock behind the TV and still have easy access to grabbing the switch. Also, my dock came bent out of the box and I don't want to scratch up the switch screen.

I wish Nintendo would make a cable like this officially so it would be easy to hook the Swiitch up at hotels and such without dragging along the bulky dock.

It's rare to see a review under a 7 or 8 which really makes your scale "game is totally broken" and then 7 - 10. I'd like to see more of the scale used, basically.
