In addition to the announcement Aragami: Shadow Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch this fall, independent publisher and distributor Merge has announced three more games. As no physical release has been mentioned for any of these titles, we're guessing they're all eShop-bound for now. Below is the full rundown:
Buildings Have Feelings Too!
Developer: Blackstaff Games | Release Date: Spring 2018
Imagine a city where buildings can walk and talk to one other. Each one has its own aspirations, hopeand fears. Most of the time they are just trying to get along with each other and make it through the day. Buildings Have Feelings Too! is a city management game with character. Player must grow their city whilst making sure the individual buildings thrive, or risk them being demolished forever.
Sparklite
Developer: Red Blue Games | Release Date: Fall 2019
Sparklite is a roguelite brawler-adventure set in a whimsical world where players invent guns and gadgets to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Sparklite is an “approachable roguelike”, borrowing the procedural content and randomness from roguelikes like Rogue Legacy and combining it with the appeal of classic adventure games titles like Zelda: A Link to the Past.
The Walking Vegetables: Radical Edition
Developer: Still Running | Release Date: Fall 2018
A twin-stick shooter, The Walking Vegetables: Radical Edition sees players battling mutated zombie fruit and veg. Armed initially with a simple pistol, players can upgrade their arsenal with a myriad of weapons and gadgets they uncover as they take on the lethal legumes.

Love how Buildings have feelings too has a Spring 2018 release date. They seem to use the same calendar as the Summer Darksouls used.;D
Sparklite looks good, it picked my interested.
Walking Vegetables looks like Enter the Gungeon...
i am more interested in Aragami, that's the kind of style i like
Never thought I'll say this: I am starting to get bored of all these indie games. So many of them, they are even released as cartridge to fill in the 3rd party's absence.
@Nincompoop Haha, I kind of agree. It's good and bad, on the good side I can be extremely picky about what I play and still have a backlog, on the downside I know I'm missing gems in the absolute flood of releases.
@Nincompoop You are bored of developers creating beautiful games with a lower budget? How peculiar!!!
@kepsux @Nincompoop I agree - sort of tired of so few new Nintendo made or 3rd party made games and so many indies being sold at me twice....that said cannot stop playing Dead Cells, am eagerly waiting for the 30th for The Messenger, always Googling info on release dates for Battle Princess Madeyln, Cursed Castilla, looking forward to Blade Strangers tomorrow and Curse of the Moon, Celeste and Flinthook are prob my fav games this year so far. Rarely turn on my Ps4 too...buuuuut still I just want a BIG, FULL Switch game that's new and not indie to break up the indie stuff. It's like if I only ate Soul-style vegan food everyday. Might be a fav of mine but I need a steak every once and awhile.
@Cosats A lot of indie games look original and interesting, but I only play them once or twice and get bored of it. The old saying 'You get what you paid for' is true, with lower budget there's only so much they can do.
@Cosats That's not what they're saying obviously, "bored of developers creating beautiful games with a lower budget", they're expressing frustration with getting the same sort of scale of game ALL THE TIME, when, as a console Switch really needs some diversity of scale in their games...like eating the same favorite style of dish everyday (lasagna, pizza, spaghett) gets boring after awhile when you want a big 4 course meal.
@Dang69 and @Nincompoop That's the beauty of Switch so far: embracing creativity from wonderful smaller studios. We have been very lucky this generation to get such a big diversity of indie games with AAA quality. Keep them coming.
@Cosats But what about the people like me who see two or three good indie games every few years?
Can't wait! Sparklite looks nice. Also, need some Mark of the Ninja love on the Switch.
The last two are awesome and nice that they will be running in 60fps also. Hope they manage to keep that for Switch as well.
I love new games
@Cosats indies have really blossomed, but honestly I can get them almost anywhere else in addition to Switch. Playing undocked makes them more appealing too BUT the lack of new retail-sized or sameday (Darksouls, Fighterz, Wolf II) releases is a really big issue. I love indies, but without some diversity of the scale of the releases, the Switch is really feeling pointless this year.
I love Nintendo and I will always buy their consoles, but I don't understand this ultra defensive attitude some people have whereby they swear that as long as there are good indies no one has the right to complain about there being a lack of epic 3D games. Games like Dead Cells, Celeste, Axiom Verge, Owlboy, Hollow Knight, Stardew Valley, Golf Story and Iconoclasts are all fabulous and I really enjoy playing them, but they often scratch a different itch to games like Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Fallout 76, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Divinity: Original Sin II and Monster Hunter World. Getting games like Doom, Doom Eternal and Wolfenstein II to complement Nintendo's own output is brilliant, but a few more epic 3rd party 3D games (which aren't remasters of old games) would be nice. I believe that Bethesda's success should pull more in next year though.
Don't get me wrong though, I don't get the complaint that there are too many indies, just that there aren't enough epic 3rd party games.
