This is probably my most anticipated Day 1 title on Switch 2. Disappointed it's not going to be on physical but I'll definitely be picking it up digitally.

I'm probably unusual amongst the commenters on this site in that I am a casual gamer who has never actually owned a console. I got a Switch OLED for my kid a couple of years ago and I have bought myself a number of physical games for it. I've long considered getting myself one, but decided to wait for Switch 2. The recent announcements have taken quite a lot of the shine off it, but I will probably get one anyway, and just end up mostly buying Switch 1 games to play on it!

Release date, price, and specs, that's all I want really. Some new game news, which I'm sure we'll get, will just be the icing on the cake. Hoping for some cool ports which couldn't run on the Switch 1.

I don't actually have a Switch 1! I got one for my kid a couple years ago, and I just play on hers after she's in bed. I have bought quite a number of games for myself, though, some of which I haven't yet got to play, so I'll definitely get Switch 2 on day 1 – the backwards compatibility is a big selling point. I do hope they release an OLED version straight out the gate, but it's not a deal-breaker.

Atelier Yumia, Rune Factory, Trails in the Sky, and Bye Sweet Carole are the ones I'm most looking forward to out of this list

I'm not a huge fan of the animation style (looks like a bargain-bin Dreamworks knockoff) but I do like these kinds of games so might pick it up once it's discounted

@Kekshook Oh right, not literally demo versions. But yes, I hate this too. The whole game should be on the cart and it should just work. Given that Limited Run can put 12 Annapurna games on one cart, there doesn't seem to be any excuse.

@graviton Based on what I've read in comments and the like, it seems like this game had huge personal impact for a relatively small number of people – almost the very definition of a "cult classic", I would say.

Necrobumb... this has finally come out, but no mention of Switch... anybody know anything more?
