Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Today's Nintendo Direct?

It was a solid direct - shame the 2 biggest announcements (Super Mario RPG and Wonder) were leaked before hand, but they look really good. Overall a nice mix of new games and remasters to tide fans over until Nintendo ramps things up for the Switch 2, which I believe will release Holiday 2024.

I wasn’t able to watch the Direct live so I learned about the reveals first then viewed it later - in terms of announcements this Direct was very good (Pikmin!!! Zelda! Fire Emblem! Octopath II! Kirby!) but it was not structured well at all, especially at the end. I was really surprised that no game (not even Zelda) had an in-depth segment. Overall Nintendo doesn’t need a massive presentation with the games they have coming this holiday, but I will be expecting more from the first Direct next year

It was a solid Direct in my opinion, not as good as this year's E3 one but definitely had enough to satiate my Nintendo news appetite for the next few months. Super happy to get a release date (and name!?) for Triangle Strategy, another look at Splatoon 3, KOTOR on Switch, and especially N64 on NSO and (FINALLY!) a 3D Kirby game.

There’s been a September Direct for the past 5 years, so I was pretty sure the month wouldn’t pass without one. Nintendo already has a strong holiday slate so I’m excited to see what they have for early next year (hopefully more consoles on NSO too!)

No one has a problem with these titles on Switch, it's that they aren't offering more. I think many NSO subscribers would be happy to pay more for popular SNES games (and N64 etc.) but we're approaching 2 years since the SNES update and there's been no major improvements to the surface. (Which are desperately needed, as seen with the whole Metroid series stuck on Wii U debacle)
