Round Up: Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 - Every Switch 1 & 2 Announcement & Trailer

Played the Witcher 3 base game. Can now finish the dlc with visual upgrades.

You missed off Lego Skylines which is coming to Switch 2 as well.

1001 Threads of Mizan looked amazing. I was surprised it's coming to the Switch 2.

I was surprised to see 1001 Threads of Mizan announced for Switch 2 as well. There was a fair amount of announcements for us, which was quite nice to see.

Amazing news about the Witcher 3 Remastered, also free for all owners. Honestly, if they would release a Switch 2 edition on a cartridge I'll double dip.

@Olliemar28 No problem

@Divide_and_Wander i know right?

To me the main announcement was day and date parity with other consoles for a lot of new games. With Nintendo games we’re getting so many good, great and excellent games, it’s insane. (Granted, i was neglecting the Playstation 5 and xbox series x gen on purpose)

I’m was only missing the tides of annihilation announcement for switch 2 from my wishlist, but that’ll happen.

Nice haul for Nintendo gamers for one of these shows, that’s for sure.

Wait. Your date says Witcher 3 remaster is coming 2027 but article says this sept? Which one is right!?

Getting itchy for that Nintendo Direct. Any day now...

lol The Macarana, that takes me back.

Definitely replaying the Witcher 3 on Switch 2!

There's at least a dozen titles that caught my eye here, so I think it's faster to ask for the ones I'm not interested in. At any rate, the Witcher 3 Remaster + DLC are definitely no. 1 and 2 on my list, with FF coming in 3rd.

Quite unexpectedly, I'm also curious about 1001 Threads of Mizan and Turok: Origins.

It's grand to hear that Snoop Dogg got involved in the creation of The Herbalist DLC, but I'd be even happier to learn that IO Interactive have sorted out the Hitman: WoA port.

As usual, I appreciate the roundup. I'd say there was something for almost everyone. Out of this list, I'd say my most anticipated title is Final Fantasy VII Revelation.

I knew they were going to bring the enhanced/"next gen" edition of Witcher 3 to Switch 2, but I had no idea they would go this far above and beyond. It's almost a full remake with as much as they've changed/improved! And it's coming out next month...for free!?!?

CDPR are truly GOAT'd.

Mega Man looks so good. Can't wait!

1001 Threads of Mizan looks so interesting and fresh! I hope it won't dissapoint

New game reveals that caught my interest: Worms: Galactic Tactics, Acornia: Mirror Worlds and Age Twisters

Known games still excited for, include Mega Man: Dual Overdrive, Mariachi Legends (finally a release date after so long), Rayman Legends Retold, Crazy Taxi World Tour and Final Fantasy VII Revelation.

Never played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt before, so tempted to get it if it comes on sale again (as the sale discount been very big before).

Other games not listed for Switch 2 (...for now) that I'm interested in: Aniimo, Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, Petit Planet, Transport Fever 3, Path of Exile II 1.0, Heroes of Might and Magic III remake and Roco Kingdom.

Sadly, the really interesting announcements aren't for Switch, yet:

My favorite ones were unlisted...

Warlock (the D&D one) was very impressive. Tides of Annihilation continued to wow me. I skipped FF7R3; I don't need any more info. Hoyoverse crushed it. Ananta might bring me back for one more f2p.

And what was up with Exodus: Osiris Reborn? Worst trailer of show, I believe. I like an octopus character, sure. But ugh, it was so boring. Ananta and ...another I'll edit in, had the best trailers.

I couldn't figure it out. But they made the simulator games all look great. And that American Showa Story was my kind of crazy.

Also, that Silver Palace game? They knew what they were doing...

Wow, these games are all coming to Switch 1?
I'd never imagined!

MEGAMAN: DUAL OVERDRIVE
LEGO SKYLINES

Both look good.

At this point if I never see Snoop Dogg in anything ever again, it'll already be too much.
Looking forward to a bunch of these titles, especially Mariachi Legends

With the titles coming to Switch 'Rayman Legends Retold' is the one I am looking forward to the most and we have already pre-ordered the game and will be getting 'Rayman: Origins Enchanced' with it for free and it only costs $59.99 here in Australia which was a great deal for two great Rayman games.

With the other games that were talked about there on other consoles I am looking forward to Aniimo, Tides of Annihilation, Sword Sage: Awakening, Sea of Remnants and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.

I am still hoping we get some news for the next 3D Mario game, Star Wars Jedi 3, Kena: Scars of Kosmora (Hopefully a Switch 2 or X Box Series X confirmation for the future), the next Sonic 3D game, Spyro: A Realm Beyond and DragonSword: Awakening which is going to be on Nintendo Switch 2 and looks pretty similar to Genshin Impact.
