Mario's Super Picross is a great surprise, I'll definitely be playing that next week.

Love Odyssey and Galaxy 2 (haven't played Galaxy 1 yet). 3D World and Land are great as well but not on the same level.

Cute novelty, but not for me.

I would love to try it, but I would never pick it up for $100. If it goes on deep discount ($40 or less) like Labo has, which I expect it too, then I might buy it.

Good price for Katamari Damacy, but the demo didn't really interest me. Ni no Kuni seems like a fun game though.

I wish they would restock the other BOTW amiibo as well. Never picked up Zelda or the Guardian and it would be nice to complete the set.

@MS7000 I understand. Personally, the open-world of BOTW was a little overwhelming for me, and while I consider it a great game, it's far from my favorite in the series. I hope BOTW2 is able to provide a more focused, story-driven experience while retaining the adventurous spirit of the original.

@StuTwo Valid points. To me they aren't on the same level since the TP spinoffs (while fun) didn't add anything to the Zelda canon (whereas this game is directly tied to BOTW) and the WW sequels (again, great games!) were handheld instead of a premier console title like BOTW2 will be.

@thesilverbrick You're right! Though Majora's Mask was more of a standalone story featuring OOT Link while BOTW seems like a direct sequel to the first game (based off the teaser).

So glad this game is using the BOTW art style. This game cements to me that Nintendo views BOTW as the new direction for Zelda's future rather than a one-off like Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess.

If I recall correctly, no other Zelda game has recieved a direct sequel and a spin-off tied so closely to the main game.

That's fine. If Nintendo wants to do a big celebration for Zelda's 35th they can start with Skyward Sword HD in March or so, throw in a couple surprises over the summer, and cap it off with BOTW2 as the big holiday title.

This came out of nowhere, but it looks great! Picking this up for sure!

I think the collection deserves an 8 minimum but the review isn’t wrong. The physics for SMB/LL are way floatier and don’t have the precise control of the NES versions. Nothing wrong here with SMB2 or SMB3 however. And given save states are available for both versions on Switch, All-Stars benefits in that regard have become moot.

Good price for Splatoon. Tried the others but they were just not for me.

@Captain_Toad Bringing in some Mario themes for the 35th anniversary would be a great way to introduce them to the system.

If they released a Cat Blue Toad amiibo I might pick that up.

This is a great idea, but the limited release makes no sense to me. Does Nintendo want people to play their games?!

The $60 price tag hurts (remember, this is $20 on Wii U) but I'll pick this up if Bowser's Fury is significant enough expansion (and not just a few extra levels).

Like Lego Super Mario, not sure if I'm the target audience, but this seems like a really neat idea, and lots of fun for those who are able to use it.

Great stuff - hope that Bowser's Fury expansion is substantial and I'm excited to try SMB35. Though that being limited (along with the 3D All-Stars pack) is bonkers to me.

Wish Galaxy 2 was included but I'll definitely be picking this up, especially for Sunshine.

I don’t have Rayman Legends. Tried the demo and it wasn’t for me. No game is a must-play for everyone.

Perhaps this additional help will allow them to release games at a reasonable rate.

What an absolute ****show of a product. Mind-boggling that a company like Square could release the game in its current state.

@TG16_IS_BAE I don't doubt that COVID has greatly impacted Nintendo, but it doesn't excuse their inconsistent PR and absence from every major E3 replacement. If Furukawa or Doug Bowser simply went out and said, "due to the difficulties of working under the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been forced to delay several upcoming titles for this fall season and may not make any major announcements for several months, but are looking forward to delivering quality games in 2021", people wouldn't be so frustrated. Yet as it stands, Nintendo's 2021 slate is completely empty to our knowledge.

@MrBlacky Sure, Origami King is Nintendo's biggest announcement of the year, but it's far from a headliner like Zelda, Mario, Smash, or Pokemon.

These games didn't look bad, but in normal times they would have taken up a 5 minute segment of a 40 minute Direct. At this point any news of games coming to Switch is good news but I still can't believe it's been nearly a year since Nintendo had anything major to show.

Not as bad as the last one, but that's not saying much. Nintendo was smart not to announce this beforehand, but they can't keep doing these without a main Direct along with it.

A reminder that at this time in its lifespan, the Wii U not only had a larger selection of NES and SNES games but N64 and GBA games as well. Nintendo has no excuse for their pitiful treatment of legacy content on their most successful console in decades.

There's no way Nintendo isn't releasing an improved version of the Switch before the end of 2021. They've never had a handheld that didn't have a mid-generation upgrade, and I would also be concerned about being able to compete with next-generation consoles (although the Switch is doing great right now).

I highly doubt a Direct (especially a big one) on a Friday. Even if there is one, I have no faith in Nintendo to actually deliver after the Partner Showcase and their bizarre silence on nearly everything since March.

It's great that there are so many games available but I wish there were more demos for them too. I don't have the time or money to try all the games out there, even all the ones that look interesting or get good reviews.

I’ve been wanting this for years; I hope we get it eventually. The leaks will keep coming regardless of Nintendo plugs them or not.

Interested in buying this but there are other sets that catch my eye with much higher play value, so I don't see myself getting it unless there's a massive drop in price.

I'm fine with Wii U games being ported to the Switch. I'm not fine with how they are being rereleased at full price (often with little to no added features to justify that price) and taken off the eShop to force people to buy these new versions. Beyond that, it's a shame we haven't gotten a new Mario Kart, DKC, Captain Toad, Pikmin, etc... game for the past 6-7 years. If pushed too far, it seems all these ports can stifle Nintendo's creativity and willingness to further develop their IPs.

Never picked this one up on Wii U. $10 seems like a good price so I might give it a chance on Switch.

The discourse surrounding this game has devolved into taunting and namecalling without an objective analysis of the game's merits. There are areas in which it excels tremendously (such as with Gym Battles and various quality of life improvements) and fails miserably (like with the Y-Comm, visual presentation, and story. There's certainly a lot of fun to be had with the game, but plenty of areas for Game Freak to improve on.

Didn't enjoy New Leaf so I haven't bought New Horizons but I'm certainly willing to try it at some point. These numbers are insane.

If you are defending this, why? It benefits no one, and only reflects badly on Nintendo (who could really use some good PR right now).
