Re: Guide: Getting Started In Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past

@hieveryone Ok thanks for the heads up.

As far as which game in the series to start on, they all have their own story so anywhere is fine. If I had to tell someone where to start, I'd probably say 6 or 8. But honestly his game is great, and I'm guessing this version will be the definitive one. Especially since the large size kind of suits the handheld style of play. I'd say go for it You won't be disappointed if you like old school RPGs with good music, writing, and graphics. Just get past that slow intro and you're golden.

Re: Poll: The GameCube is 15 Years Old - Pick Your Favourite Games

Jesus that was tough, picking only 5.
Metroid prime.
Luigi's mansion.
Mario sunshine
Windwaker
Smash Bros Melee.

The Cube was the second console I got, but the first that really took gaming to a new level for me.
Hours and hours with Melee. Mario Sunshine was damn near perfect. Even Starfox adventures had its moments, haha. Luigi's mansion was so engrossing and the controls were unlike anything I'd ever seen, in a good way. The visual jump from the 64 was so mind blowing.

Love you forever, Gamecube!

Favorite system to this day. All those amazing games... FF, breath of fire, dragon quest, earthbound, the list is endless.

Although, I don't understand the hate for the North American design... I think I'm the only one that loves it. Lol. The original design is amazing as well, but they are just different

Re: Meet The Edgy And Mature Fan-Made Pokémon Game That Aims To "Fix" The Series

I dig the idea of this, and will be following it. Ive always enjoyed a well done rom hack of a Pokemon game. The best ive encountered is probably Pokemon Brown, which is a great hack of the Gen1 games.

Edit:
I don't understand why people are getting mad about a more mature themed Pokemon game. It's just a different, unofficial take on a series that most of us know and love. Personally, I enjoy the chance at higher difficulty and different themes, especially since the series has somewhat weakened in recent years. Although X&Y were enjoyable.

Upgraded from my yellow GBC to an SP way back when, I'll never forget how amazing it was. Loved playing the old carts on there too (that backlight magic).

Always wanted a GBA Micro. Finally saw one in my local retro store a few months back, but now my eyes are too bad to actually enjoy it lol. At least I have the gameboy player on the Cube

Happy birthday GBA! We miss you.

Started with gen 1, and will forever love it Yellow has my heart since it was first video game. I have so many fond memories of these games. Nowadays, gen 2 is probably my favorite due to the great improvements, but gen 1-3 will always be special. The heyday of Pokemon, if you ask me

Re: Paper Mario Colour Splash Coming to Wii U

Everybody relax. Let's be happy that the WiiU is even getting this game. Try to use your imaginations and see that this could be a fun, lighthearted game in a series that we love. One trailer isn't enough data to judge this badly.

Re: Amazon Lists Pokémon Red, Yellow And Blue At 10 Bucks A Pop

If there is a lot of work involved, I guess $10 isn't terrible. I'd prefer $7.99 or something like that though, seems like more people would take the plunge at that price.

It'll also be interesting to see if they do discounts for buying 2 or all 3. I'd also love to see Pokemon green on there, although that's never happen.

Either way, glad that they are finally available. I want new players to see these older games and get a chance to enjoy them like I did back in the late 90s.
