Re: Feature: When it Comes to Games, What's in a Name?

I've always enjoyed North American game names slightly more, but I think regional differences are quite interesting. I never did like "Starwing" though. Earthbound will always be Earthbound to me, as Mother seems a little too far out for an RPG title, imo.

Shining Force and Columns!
It's funny, when I first played The Genesis version of Columns on the Ps3 collection, I totally dismissed it as a Tetris-esque ripoff...but then I couldn't stop playing it! Now I can't get enough of the series, and realize that it stands pretty well on it's own.
Haven't played shining force, but ill give it a shot!

@Doma I really hope they stick with random encounters. I don't think it's archaic, just a different style of game. Besides, random encounters are a tradition in Pokemon, and I think they work well in the games. I'm still on the fence about whether I like the way they changed Dragon Quest yet anyway.

As far as game details go, it would be great to get a ton of X & Y info around e3, especially since there's so much we don't know yet. October needs to get here soon.

Re: Review: Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)

I remember playing AC on the GameCube, & it was one of the reasons I bought a DS when Wild World came out. The way New Leaf looks so far makes me think it'll be the best one yet. Definitely a day 1 purchase, even though I'm overloaded with amazing 3ds titles.
