@depooter I figured out if you go into the shop not through the game it will list each DLC pack separately. Give that a try.

I can't download any of the packs. Just GnG. When I go to the store option it always takes me to GnG again. Hrmph.

30 hours into this and still have a lot of fun with it. When you play this style, it's amazing how you start to strategize and memorize the items and which worlds are favorable for continuing on. Almost at level 100. Must keep going!

I have waffled for a while, but at $13, I am going to finally pick up Ori. Spawn Wave saying it is a no-brainer this morning was what made me take the leap.

Pretty understandable that they have held off. They had to wait until Prime 4 was officially changing gears and then get out in front of it. A Direct before that announcement would have been a disaster and you can't juxtapose the two things because you want to leave people on a high note. Let the Prime 4 sadness dissipate and then get something fun out there.

As a professional drinker of 22 years, I believe this was done as a bit. In order to pass out like a ton of bricks like that, you'd have to be at a BAC pushing upwards and past .30. Had he fallen asleep sitting up, that would have been a legit pass out (which, really is just falling asleep). I mean...he even did the stereotypical "wobbly head" thing that nobody does in real life.

Drunk? Yep. Legit mid-sentence pass-out to the floor while smiling and NOT dropping the beer first? Not a chance.

I dumped a LOT of quarters into this game as a kid and I think I made it to the second stage like 5% of the time.

A few years ago, I paid a local kid $20 to hack my Wii and load it to the gills with NES, SNES Sega (MS and Genesis), Tubo Grafx, Atari, and PC games. Fantastic value that is still very much in use today. A couple years after that, he was working at a stable and a horse bit his thumb off. That horse's name...Epona. I am not making any of this up. He actually revealed the nub on Youtube and it was, well, exactly what you think.

Lesson: Nintendo is sending their horses to eat your thumbs, you dirty hacker.

Makes sense. These things don't make themselves for free. Eventually the sales curve was going to take a nose dive once the initial craziness died down. The NES Classic has been through two holiday seasons already. They have to feel like they maxed that out by now.

These things were a huge (albeit seemingly unexpected to them somehow) hit. They did a great job maximizing their sales.

@ICISAZEL Almost beat Hollow Knight...then The Messenger came out. Was all into that and then Guacamelee came out. Was all into that...now Dark Souls is out. LET ME LIVE E-SHOP!!!

Bought it yesterday. Digital. Don't care about the sound. It's fine. Played an hour in handheld before work and everything was fun for me (even though I suck at it). Can't wait to get it on the big screen this weekend.

Disclosure: First time I have ever played the game.

Buying it first thing tomorrow.

Also: I've watched that Youtube video five times with various sound devices and I still don't hear anything wrong. At least nothing that makes me say "I'm not buying it."

I have the slim one and it is great for getting it to and from work every day. Would recommend it for anyone.

Very close to finishing Hollow Knight...then The Messenger came out. Close to finishing Messenger...now Guacamelee comes out. I am loving the Lucha style of this whole thing mixed with easter eggs and humor. It's a really fun experience.

FYI all three games are great in their own, different way.
