Nintendo's Switch Online game Super Mario Bros. 35 might be a "limited-time" release, but that hasn't stopped it from regularly receiving updates.
With this in mind, version 1.0.2 has now been released - it makes a number of fixes and adjustments, and improves the overall gameplay experience.
Here are the full patch notes, courtesy of Nintendo's official support page:

Awwww, but I love doing that...
This game has been a surprise delight for me. My first instincts was that it was a speed running competition, but it really rewards you for defeating enemies with combos and finesse. I’m hooked.
Super Mario Bros. 35: Receives numerous updates to fix and improve the game overall
Also Super Mario Bros. 35: Limited time game that runs until the end of March 2021
"All that for a drop of gameplay."
@NathanTheAsian all these matches, lost in time....like tears in the rain.....time to LESSSSAGOOOO! wahoo!
I tried playing the game myself, but my way of playing the original Mario Bros. doesn't exactly work well in this type of game. I am more comfortable with taking my time with the platforming. Avoiding enemies whenever possible, and trying to reach the goal as well as I could.
So I am usually trying to analyze each of my jumps, and whether or not I should defeat x enemy.
So when I did give this game a try (I tried playing it twice)... I was quickly overwhelmed with enemies within like 20 seconds, and so I don't play this game anymore.
Love the game, play it everyday to complete the challenges and I’m creeping ever closer to level 100...
@Juga Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A.
Oh wait, that's the Konami code.
As much as I really wanted to I couldn't get on with this game, I much prefer Tetris 99.
@Natsura I have put quite a few hours in an I have won quite a few games by taking my time and killing everything, when playing like that I was almost always the last person to complete 1-1. So I know you can win by playing slowly and analysing each jump etc, you just need to kill as much as possible too.
I'm trying to play faster now as I only have 1 level (8-2) left to complete at least once and I'm finding I need to get at least a dozen levels in to have any chance of it appearing
Fun game but miust say the novelty has worn off somewhat strangely
@Natsura Actually your style is the way to win this game. Mario 35 is not a race. You win by taking enough time to collect as many coins as possible (aim for at least 250) for the roulette item spins to save you in the late game. Mostly it's the ones who don't rush too much that win - it's about enduring. Watch a few Youtube tip video.
I think you'll like it when you know it's not really about going fast. I've won at least 6 times and I play it fairly occasionally. I hated Tetris 99 because (despite being quite good at Tetris) it felt too random, but I love Mario 35. Kinda gutted it'll go away.
I'm glad they've changed the annoying bouncing shell sound effect.

HOW LARGE MUST IT BE?!!!!
I see dozens of clouds, basically unplayable without a star, and everything else... and no slow down.
I can’t believe I’ve already put 20 hours into this game! It’s a lot of fun.
The timer now is getting red and faster a little sooner than before.

Nintendo gives the most uselessly vague patch notes.
I’m ready for a Lost Levels mode.
30 hours into this and still have a lot of fun with it. When you play this style, it's amazing how you start to strategize and memorize the items and which worlds are favorable for continuing on. Almost at level 100. Must keep going!
