That also said, this article makes me so glad I have all three current major consoles. I can play games like Astro Bot, Mario Odyssey and…well, some XBox games and not care about who steals/takes inspiration/whatever form who. I just pays my money and plays the games.

Played through it and loved it.

It’s a very polished and gorgeous platformer. It can sit next to most Mario games as just fun. Fans really need to relax, developers take inspiration from other devs all the time.

@LikelySatan Indeed, I’m sure glad other series like Final Fantasy and Metal Gear weren’t ported to the Switch. Imagine how long those would be! Or games like Xenoblade Chronicles with their long cutscenes, oof!

Why shouldn’t Switch? It’s a freaking masterpiece. Whether it was MEANT to be on a Nintendo platform is meaningless. Hell, by that logic, FF7-10 and 12 should never have come to Switch.

Konami made some VERY good games in the past, and now we can play them again on newer systems. I’ll reward that behavior while avoiding their dumb/bad things.

$499 is far too much unless they ramp up the processing power on the higher end of the gap between PS4 and PS5.

As much as I love my Switch, Nintendo needs to actually put some power into their console. The Big N can make their silicon sing and dance most of the time, but third party devs have to make MAJOR quality sacrifices to get the same games to run on it.

Oh, excellent! I'm picking this up for PS4 just because I have the other two there as well, but all three are now on my eShop wish list for a sale! Maybe they'll have a trilogy pack down the road.

Now we just need Sam and Max Hit The Road to make a return appearance...still love that game to death.

@Anti-Matter …but the games in this collection (barring Punisher, perhaps, which you’re not forced to play) aren’t 18+, so why does that matter? So you would skip Marvel vs Capcom 3 because Deadpool is in it?

Seems odd to intentionally limit yourself on something so arbitrary and have a poorer experience.

The fact that it instantly made all those jerks selling old copies of these games for console for hundreds of dollars cry tears of rage made it the HERO of this direct. I’ll be picking it up on disc/cart for PS4 and Switch instantly.

@WhyYouLie Plenty of adult-oriented games that aren’t rated M. If you need an M rating to not dismiss a game as a kiddie game, you may need to take a step back from things.

@EaglyBird Yeah, it’s a GREAT game, I just wish they could polish the rough edges off a few bits.

Especially on PS5. There’s no excuse for load times period on that console unless it’s a massively demanding game…and Cult of the Lamb is (to my admittedly non-developer brain) definitely not that.

But dang it’s such a horribly cute and cutely horrible game…

@EaglyBird FWIW, the PS5 version has really odd pauses and slowdowns as well. Likely not at the Switch’s level, but enough that they really need to work on optimization as well as new content.

@Vyacheslav333 the SciAdv games are a special case, to the point that others felt the need to patch all of the English PC releases to fix inconsistencies between games. Since visual novels are pretty much all text…that matters more with something like this.

How's the actual translation? Does CoZ need to step in and fix stuff? Is it consistent with previous translations as far as other concepts introduced in previous games, or does it mistranslate stuff? Any cut content that we know of, like Chaos;Head?

@cmdrmarc Because (on PC anyway) it has a real and demonstratable impact on performance. The Switch can hardly afford that hit.
