I'm in agreement with the 'if you've bought it physically on Wii U just sell it and there's your discount' crowd. A digital discount for those who bought it digitally would be nice definitely but that's why I'd never buy a Nintendo game digitally. Physical copies retain their value. Digital you'll get nothing for, ever.
Awesome, I'm pretty sure I'm going to love this, and I'm lucky enough to be able to play it later this week! Usually I prefer my platformers' challenge to come from getting to the end of the level rather than collecting stuff but I feel like the slower pace and absolutely gorgeous surroundings will make me enjoy collecting stuff in this game a lot more than I usually do. Hyped.
Disappointing overall for sure. Quite a few games shown I'm not that bothered about. On the plus side Star Fox looks awesome. The style was nuts, in a good way, but there just weren't enough interesting game announcements. Still, I'm too busy having an absolute ball with Splatoon to care too much.
@Jazzer94 agreed! Don't care about mii stuff so a bundle with the rest that's reasonably priced would be great. It's too expensive at the minute, even just compared to US prices.
@scamander I agree. I'm pretty sure the content is already on the disk for the reasons you say. Ninty are just releasing it slowly to keep the interest up which is fine with me. It keeps me excited for new maps which is a good thing.
Wow, quite a thread we've got going on here. My 2 cents: Yes the aerosprays are the easiest to score highly with, however I don't think that makes them OP necessarily. E.g chargers (snipers) are more support weapons, you're keeping the enemy at bay while your team capitalises and does more inking. This won't give you more XP, but it will contribute a lot to a victory. XP isn't everything. XP also includes inking you do that then gets re-inked by the other team. Thus it's not even a reliable measurement of your contribution by the end of the game really.
I've gone for Smash Wii U overall, though it was tough to decide between that and MK 8 for me. I think Tropical Freeze would be up there too but I've not played that yet!
Excellent Pokemon news but it makes me sad that Smash Bros isn't selling more considering how great it is. UK Wii U presence is practically non existent on the high street though so I guess it's not surprising! It's a shame as I believe it's a really great console with a great library now.
I'm loving the tanooki buggy, that thing will likely become my main vehicle depending on its stats. Yoshi circuit looks great too. All we need now is a release date!
Excellent news. Have been wanting to play DKC for ages but all that was available was the apparently poor GBA port (besides buying an actual SNES) . I'll certainly be getting this now. Original SNES version on the Gamepad? Yes please! I do wish they had SNES VC games like Earthbound and this on the 3DS though but that's just me being picky.
This is looking great. January suits me just fine as I've still got plenty to be playing before then. On the content side of things 70+ levels is more than enough I think!
I'm liking a lot of characters already. Using Yoshi mainly but can see me having between 5 or 10 mains on this one! Of the newcomers I'm loving Little Mac and Mega Man the most. Also the Dreamland Gameboy stage is awesome.
Absolutely loved this! I remember the first time I played it and I was wizzing along at hundreds of miles per hour with 30 other racers on the track. I just remember thinking 'wow, this is amazing', I couldn't believe my eyes.
When I finally get round to playing some of the N64 classics I missed as a kid this will be near the top of the list of things to give a go. Sounds great!
I'm happy with the roster. Some great characters and the stages looked great too on the streams that I caught a bit of. I suspect there'll be 6 or so DLC characters to fill up that screen. Maybe we'll get some sort of announcement on that tomorrow although I doubt it! Can't wait to play this thing in few weeks.
These look cool (I'm a particular fan of the coloured buttons) but I'm not desperate to get one right away to be honest. I'll likely get one once I've trashed my current XL playing Smash Bros.
The price is amazing, even if it's more in the UK than the US. Anyone else would be charging a hell of a lot more. Well done Nintendo. I can't wait to play these packs!
Super Smash Kart is now a thing! Imagine racing on Star Fox, Kirby, and Metroid themed tracks among others in the future. It is going to be AMAZING! So happy about this DLC. Very much looking forward to the Zelda tracks although I find it slightly weird Diddy Kong still isn't there and they haven't mentioned any arenas. I think there'll be additional things to come though. Hyped.
@IxC they released a complete game. No one can argue against that. They're adding extra content and you don't have to buy it. I'm happy Nintendo are doing DLC. This helps keep the games fresh! It looks freaking awesome.
I'm experiencing a mix of shock and sheer excitement! Did not expect to see Link. Can't wait for the new tracks. Owning a Wii U just keeps getting more and more awesome.
If that leaked roster is indeed correct then there's still space on the screen for a few more characters. Even if not it's a decent roster though, although I'd have liked another DK representative.
I've gone for SM64. On another day it could have been different, but I just think the soundtrack, castle overworld, and levels on that game were absolutely amazing. I absolutely loved Galaxy 1, 2 and Super Mario 3D World too though and it tends to be whichever of those I've mentioned so far I happen to be playing at the time that I decide is the best Mario of all time.
They can keep their Fifa. Football games haven't been good since around PES 6 in my opinion. Too focused on realism rather than fun! Fifa feels sluggish to me, it seems stuff always happens an age after I actually press the button just so the animations can look smooth and realistic.
Might get Donkey Kong. I already own the GB version but it'd be nice to be able to play it on my 3DS as it's one of my favourite games. Other than that I'm more of a physical games man so I doubt I'll be getting any others.
@ThomasBW84 agreed. It would be crazy to release another Zelda remake, there's plenty enough Zelda love going on at the minute!
Of those mentioned I'd absolutely love F-Zero GX with online etc. That'd be immense. I agree with some of the other comments that it's perhaps a bit soon for a Galaxy remake (although I'd be more than happy to play those amazing games again) and I'd much prefer a HD Mario Sunshine remake. It'd look immense on the Wii U and with a few of the original flaws ironed out could be absolutely amazing.
A bit cluttered for my liking. Get rid of the logo I say. Still looks cool though and I'm glad many people like it. Personally the Yoshi one is still my favourite special edition but that's probably predictable!
I like the look of the silver arrow, though I would prefer it in bright green! Excellent news on the update, glad Nintendo has been listening and I'm looking forward to that map being back in the screen!

Re: Nintendo 64x64: Castlevania
I never really played this one properly either to be honest although I do own it. Always seems to divide opinion that's for sure.
Re: Nintendo 64x64: ISS 64
I began my ISS career with ISS 98 so never actually played this one. 98 had some pretty hilarious commentary too though from what I remember.

I don't remember playing this all too much but what I do remember is that it was fun and completely mental.
Re: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS Step Up With More Outfit Variations
@Grumblevolcano agreed. I've been rocking light blue Yoshi in MK8 so a Smash inclusion for him would be great.
Also, those Samus palettes look amazing. Can't wait to see some for the other characters.
Re: Super Mario 64
Awesome idea. I'm looking forward to the next 63 games!
