Does Target have cards for Kirby’s Dream Buffet? I've gotten cards there in the past for games I wanted to gift that were download only, I don't know if anywhere else carries download cards for specific games, but I wish the cards were more readily available.
I enjoyed this game a lot - until I got really frustrated with how the CPU cars always move to where you are trying to go. Obviously you work around it, but eventually I felt like I'd gotten my enjoyment and uninstalled and moved on.
Pretty good racer though. It was one of the best on Switch for a long time.
If it is neither good nor bad isn't it bad? I mean - you could be doing something that was good instead, so, by choosing to do something that does nothing for your aren't you behind?
Regardless, it seems like the methodology could be improved, different game selection and focus, but its interesting as a start.
Worth $2 for sure. It's a push/pull RTS, thankfully units pass by each other instead of always stopping to fight, which creates some unique strategies. I find the difficulty to be pretty high, but it's one of those games that when you figure out what you're supposed to do you go from hopeless loss to dominating win.
I really, really wish it had a restart button - that feels like a big miss, but for $2? It was worth the money and the time.
? Couldn't disagree more. Not being able to do a crouch then a high jump was a big disappointment that took away from the ease of exploration.
...then there was the water backpack - it made movement so much harder than any other Mario game. It's ok, but dead last of the 3D games and doesn't measure up to Mario standards in my opinion.
...but then if this is the first Mario game you played it would probably stand out...
Tried it at launch - but the battery usage was insane! 50% of my battery used in 4 hours (I usually go 2-3 days between charges). Is the battery usage on Android better now?
My question is: How many screenshots on your Switch are of menus or non-interesting situation that taken by someone accidently pressing the screenshot button?
The daily level challenge in Rayman Legends was awesome! It's amazing they kept it going this long.
It was a perfect game for the platform (the best version of Rayman Legends was definitely the WiiU version due to the WiiU Pad) and this is a good time to memorialize the greatness that was Rayman Legends!
...I see challenges here - last year was rough for new Switch games, this year is MUCH worse. Less than 100K for Fire Emblem warriors is not a good start. The overall sales for Switch games are all pretty poor - it's clear that there is a momentum issue on Switch and it's unclear how it will change (Splatoon 3? Pokemon? ???)
I bought the original on release day and still haven't unlocked a bunch (1/2) of the stages, let alone characters and other content b/c the currency system in the game is a RIDICULOUS GRIND. (oh and the online was unplayable due to lag)
I paid for the online pack for the game they are closing down...
...and now they want me to buy another game, which I can tell has a LOT of the same content I've paid for in the last two games.
...and truth be told - the WiiWare game remains superior to the 'R' series.
I think I'll wait for a huge discount.
I wish they were less focused on modes like 'Castle' and more focused on getting the core gameplay tight b/c it simply IS NOT as good gameplay wise as it was for all the years from the TG-16 through the WiiWare release on the Wii.
@JeanPaul Switch Sports is a lot of fun online, particularly if you have someone going online with you from your same console (volleyball and tennis really shine, but aren't nearly as fun solo).
Offline the game is ok, alright for a group, but somewhat limited.
This article needs some serious updating. Much of the text is years old, making the whole article feel like the EA approach to FIFA. Print it once and then reprint forever with minor updates. (Which is sort of ironic no?)
Oh, and Retro Bowl isn't good. Super repetitive, no running game and defense is CPU run. Football Heroes Turbo is a dramatically better game.
Really hoping for an Ever Oasis sequel. It came out late on the 3DS, so I think a lot of people missed it, but it was a lot of fun, sort of a cross between Zelda, Monster Hunter & Town Building with a super positive vibe. Great game!
It seems like Switch Sports has been on at my house nearly non-stop for weeks now. It's the first game to do that since Animal Crossing a couple of years ago. One person after another, and sometimes together, nearly always online - so much fun!
@Yosher I honestly don't know what you mean. The game has 10x the meat of the original Wii Sports (which I played and loved to death - shaking Reggie's hand right after playing it at E3).
The online of Switch sports is fantastic! It is the main game mode, the predominate menu item and so full of goodness. I remain mystified by the comments of people not liking Switch Sports and it always seems to come to people playing offline and wanting the game to be just like the old games were - offline party affairs and not being interested in what the new game is - and online power-house (imo).
Your mileage may vary, but I personally couldn't disagree more with the narrative that it's an incomplete game. It's far more beefy than the original Wii Sports and far more beefy than the Wii Sports remake on WiiU. It does lack single-player practice exercises like those games - but the online is so rich in difficulty and thoughtful modes and unlocks - I absolutely love it! (if I only played offline I'd just go back to the old games - but then I've been there, done that anyway...)
@AndyC_MK111 Bowling is too easy - and then you go online. Online you play tournament style where from the 16 players, half are knocked out every 3 frames. It's maybe the most fun online thing I've ever played in a Nintendo made game.
Bowling, imo, is a perfect example of why Switch sports is a tremendous online game. No lag, lots of games, seriously challenging competition, tons of unlocks (none of which give you an advantage).
Online is truly a lot of fun. I get that Wii Sports was a great party game with fun single-player modes (we had over 120 hours in the game on my Wii). I think that putting that out again is what I expected here, and I'm glad that instead Switch sports is probably Nintendo's best online effort ever.
Again - mileage may vary, but when you see all the things that Nintendo put into online, then you see people reviewing the game based on offline - and totally missing MOST of the game, it's a weird disconnect. It's at best an incomplete view/review of the game, but mostly I just think people are crazy missing out on how good the game really is.
I love this game.
Sorry - but the online is fantastic! We've been playing the heck out of it - online.
I don't understand the hate - at all.
My guess is that people just don't like this type of game?
Not sure.
I'm a huge fan of the Wii Sports series, and honestly, I think the motion controls are better in the previous Wii games than Switch Sports (with the exception of the WiiU version as outside of Baseball and Bowling that game was a step backwards and online was a mess).
But - worse controls notwithstanding - this game recaptures the magic of the series - but specifically only in the online. The online is fantastic fun - and every time I find someone doesn't like the game it has been b/c they are playing it wrong.
MOST ALL, like 90%+, of the game structure is online. If you're playing offline you're simply missing almost everything that is great about the game.
His comments resonate with me. I have played through other M 3x. I've 100%-ed it (I've never played through any other Metroid 2x).
Still, with that said, it always amazes me how uninteresting the first 2 hours are. It's just not fun for a long bit, then, in my opinion, it becomes a ton of fun and the switching between 3D and 2D is an awesome unique and to this day unparalleled experience.
@Marios-love-child I can't imagine playing this only offline. All the rewards and the challenge and the fun is online. Offline is ok, but online is really fantastic.
We're loving this game at my house.
The ONLINE IS the game!
It is a lot of fun.
All those reviews written or mostly written before online was available are invalid and completely missed.
I find myself pressing the '-' button a lot so that I can swap the screens on my TV, I get super nauseous every time I try to look back and forth from the pad to the TV (the way this game expects).
I think the controls take away a LOT from what is otherwise a really fun experience. I believe the game would be really fantastic if it just focused in on one control scheme.
Even with the two schemes it is fun to play - in my opinion, as I'm about 60% of the way through, I'd say it is a LOT better game than I'd been led to believe.
I just finished Ever Oasis last week. It is a wonderful game! Sort of a mix of Zelda and Monster Hunter and some light town building. It's light at the beginning, overwhelming in the middle, and a little grindy at the end, but fun throughout. I put in over 40 hours and wish I could erase my memory and do it again!
@Aurumonado - they have two different types of Miis according to the video. Old Wii style and new "dress them up in costumes you get by playing online a lot" style.

I played it and the watermarks made it tough to play. The speed of the game was also a bit slow for my taste.
Visually RBI looked better, and it is unfortunate that series lost track of what it was doing and tried to be a sim instead of an arcade game.
I was super excited for the show, and maybe it improves before release, but I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for anymore.
I have 60+ hours in streetpass games, they were one of my favorite things about the 3DS. StreetPass Mansion / Monster Manor is brilliant. StreetPass Fishing / Ultimate Angler is plenty of fun
StreetPass games can be played with just steps - which is important b/c I rarely ever get a StreetPass notification anymore...which is too bad, b/c that was an experience in fun not found anywhere else.
It removed WiiU, making it much harder to buy those games. They did it the same day they announced that shop closing, which means for those of us who were loyal to Nintendo when the world turned its back on them during the WiiU era, we now we'll have a harder time buying WiiU games before the money grubbing decision to shut down the WiiU store.

I found they took down the ability to buy games for WiiU from Nintendo.com today. That bites! It is SO MUCH MORE cumbersome to do it from the shop on the device. UGH! I bought a WiiU VC game just a couple of weeks ago - I go to the Nintendo website nearly daily - I know that this just changed. It's one thing to close the stores, it is another to announce your are closing them, and then make everything harder to do after your announcement. NOT HAPPY!
"You'll also need to have an MLB The Show account" ...I didn't read it that way.
The page you linked to says: "if you are joining us for the Nintendo Switch and wish to post on the forums, you will need to register a MLB the Show Account"
I read it that you need an account if you want to post on the forums, otherwise you just need to have a NSO subscription.
I liked the original Moto Roader - played the heck out of it when I was originally released - but it has NOT aged well.
That said - I'll buy this day one - even if it looks like a janky unplayable mess.
I love my TurboGrafx! I wish TGX-16 games were available on Switch - but am happy I at least got them on Wii & WiiU and with the TG-Mini (awesome little console!)

Bought it, it's fun, probably scored too high as it's very short and it's repetitive, but it's fun. We did have it crash, so the patch is great.
Honestly Switch Sports is dramatically better and I'm sure the family will be playing that long after we've forgotten TMNT.
