Buy a mister. The only collections I bothered with in the last 5 years are DS and 3ds because everything else prior is too expensive now. I'm actually considering selling all my gb and GBA games and two DS games that are worth $100 more than I paid a year ago.

Definitely not as good as diablo 2 in it's day, but it was a couch co op game I could get my wife to play with me at the time, she's not a gamer. We had an absolute blast with DA2 on Xbox 360, and found out my brother and his wife and bro in law and his wife were also playing it at the time for the same reason, it was a gentle intro to co op rpg games for all of our wives. It's a great game from that perspective and we had a blast with it. I considered buying it again on switch on Friday night but it's pretty expensive.

There's absolutely nothing wrong or sickening about reselling something for any price because other people are willing to pay that much for it.

I got my confirmation email that my pocket ships on the 13th! Cant wait. This will be the best way to play GB, GBC, GBA GG, Neo pocket games due to the high quality screen and dock. Emulation is terrible when you try and realise how much better FPGA is, the input lag created by software emulation is real and makes many games very difficult. Further, the gamecube player is just a terrible way to upscale GBA to a big screen. The mister does a great job and it will be interesting to see how well analogues solution performs in comparison. I'm willing to bet its at least as good as Mister.

Low input latency, high def output retro gaming for multiple systems for a cost comparable to hard modding hdmi or rgb into just one of these old consoles (gamecube with GBA player for instance, and turbografx), its really a great product on paper.

@mattmanvsuperman Hey sweet, I had no idea the switch snes controllers worked with 8bitdo dongles, awesome! Im happy using my 8bitdo controllers especially the 2.4g megadrive one and I have a Retrobit saturn controller that uses 2.4g and its great too.

And yes, I have also found it very hard to go back to emulation after embracing FPGA. It's the best. You're 100% right on the audio quality too. I basically decided a Mister solved all my retro console issues in one machine and didnt get a Super NT, but I know they are great.

It's pretty hard to get excited about any form of software emulated games since I built a Mister FPGA. Input lag on emulators really makes a lot of NES/SNES etc games much harder to play, and some pretty close to impossible (Double Dragon 3), when you sit down at real hardware or the Mister which has pretty close to 0 input lag, the difference is just night and day.

Like so many other commenters have said, this is possibly the worst value for money Nintendo has ever presented us with and I say this as I stare at the Sega Megadrive Classics Switch game case on my shelf...

The game drought continues. The last 4 games i bought were all ports. Minecraft and rayman for the kids and secret of mana collection and witcher 3 for me.

Good games for sure but literally nothing interests me on switch roght now, when will there be something new?

I'm glad it's cleaning up the blurriness a bit, it's prevented me playing the game. I was holding out to buy a new pc even though I already bought the game for my switch. It's just too muddy and blurry compared to the job my pc can do with a gtx1050, a very budget graphics card.

Hopefully it does indeed look sharper and I can really enjoy it on switch!

Watched Mo's for the first episode last night. It was pretty boring and we couldn't work out wyf the story was actually about. Suddenly there was a war between two kingdoms and the Witcher kept speaking with the same girl in the forest. Going to re-watch it, but I was bored pretty quickly so it doesn't bode well.

I played this, it's literally the same game as another done that is in English officially. It's pretty crazy hard in terms of the ai too. Can't really say it's much fun, just a massive time sink.

The JP hard copy has english. Why limited run?

@Severian I bought a super Famicom on eBay from a Japanese seller. An au SNES from an Aussie seller and a us on from dkoldies.com, I also buy systems occasionally from lukiegames.com. there are squillions of online stores selling Retro gaming wares.

Easy to answer, you don't earn profit by using resources to be giving away old crap for free!

@Asaki I just plug in a GC controller to my Wii as it's the version with the gc controller ports.

@Asaki Or soft mod the wii u, or a regular wii and play GC isos straight from a USB SSD. So much easier.

This game is an absolute delight for the Gameboy and Gameboy color.

The worst he could get is a cease and desist, but seems unlikely as he's not made it publicly available to anyone. He's also not profited from it. Can't see Nintendo caring.

Ugh the art is terrible, looks like a dodgey mobile game. I want to believe, but probably a hard pass. Yuck!

The Kickstarter should have been entirely switch with PC as a stretch. Indie sells better on switch by a massive margin and PS4 is practically dead with ps5 all but announced. I wouldn't commence development on an indie title for PS4 now, ps5 has to be 12 months away if not less. Switch offers a stable platform for at least 5 more years, no brainer!

Not without a refresh of improved graphical grunt, the platform is already stagnating and ps5 will hit it harder.

I love the fact that this game series exists, but I still have not bought it on 3ds not switch, it just didn't get strong reviews and time is my enemy these days. It looks like it could be enjoyable but I have played so many trpg srpg games that I'm missing something as good as fire emblem and FF tactics to really hammer into.

Reminds me that I bought a few psp srpgs last year that I still have not played.

@GameOtaku I totally agree with you, at least they aren't forcing us to buy them all again. Honouring the fact we already purchased these games on 3ds, Wii and Wii U would have been nice.

The frame rate stuttering annoys me but not as much as the bottom edge screen blurring. It's a very good reason to score it 8/10 instead of 10.

@Dr_Awkward fortunately in Australia Nintendo must provide refunds for anything on the eshop. One area where our game related laws are actually consumer first lol

I was slightly disappointed when I opened the game box right now to find only a cartridge. No other little paper from squeenix or anything else for that matter. But at least I got my grimy little hands on it! Woohoo, wow classic can sit on the bench this weekend!

Those 2d sprites are unbelievably gorgeous! They really harkened back to the SNES age with it. I applaud the developers for this one, it just looks amazing!

Razer gear is total trash, I avoid ever since the MMO mouse I had for 6 months that literally fell apart bit by bit, the keyboard that had an E key that always double or triple registered on a single preeess, and headphones that also fell apart. It's a cheap brand with a premium price. Yuck!

@Rhaoulos I have had issues with everything except SanDisk, it's my go to brand for SD cards.

I don't think 128 is even big enough anymore, and 200 is getting the same way.

Like when I got my first digital camera around 2003, it was a 4 megapixel Olympus. Started with a 32mb XD card, then a 64, then I bought a 128mb XD card, then by the time I cared about digital cameras again, mobile phones became the norm for general photos and we don't even care about taking 30 min videos on those these days.

@Yodalovesu I thought the same thing, but the sales were 0, so a crazy price reduction means you make so many sales, an overwhelming number of sales compared to 0 with 0 future prospects of sales, that for small indie Devs it's a swan song to make some quick cash. Is this sustainable, no, but it's better than 0, and the game was essentially a write off.

@BlackenedHalo it is via emulator on the switch and Nintendo's emulator is ok but there are better emulators for your pc. I think you probably meant officially. It was available and still is, on the 3ds eshop too.

Sometimes Jim the critics are right. Would he be happier if the film remained the same and bombed hard at the box office, because it was absolutely going to.

Plus, directors getting "creative" with beloved video game heroes has a track record of destroying the characters completely. How much creative licensed can you really expect to have for characters that just about an entire generation have spent hundreds of hours staring at and literally controlling in a visual setting.
