PM Studios and acttil are teaming up with Limited Run Games to bring a physical version of Mercenaries Wings: The False Phoenix to the Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders open on 29th October over on the Limited Run website.
In celebration of this physical release, PM Studios and acttil have created a "stunning" Limited Edition package, including exclusive box art, artbook, original soundtrack and collector's box. There'll also be a standard edition on offer. Pricing has not been revealed. Take a look at everything below:
Mercenaries Wings has ties with Mercenaries Saga Chronicles, but is a standalone game set in the same tactical-strategy universe as the original trilogy series. We gave it six out of ten stars and said it was a competent filler if you've played everything else within this genre.

I love the fact that this game series exists, but I still have not bought it on 3ds not switch, it just didn't get strong reviews and time is my enemy these days. It looks like it could be enjoyable but I have played so many trpg srpg games that I'm missing something as good as fire emblem and FF tactics to really hammer into.
Reminds me that I bought a few psp srpgs last year that I still have not played.
Game is good, not too bad and not that great. If you just want more tactical RPG in your library this is your game.
I picked up the trilogy but it just felt like Disgaea 5 with all the flavor drained from it. I imagine had I played it before playing Disgaea I'd have liked it more.
I do actually like the trilogy but it does feel like you are playing the same game over and over. I imagine this game is not that different. I'm almost tempted by the physical but having spent $90 on a limited run of dragons lair triolgy earlier this year cant really justify spending another $60-70 on a £10 game.
How are the stories in this series? I don't really care about the gameplay part, as long as the story is good. Any thoughts?
Collector's box? oof, I want
There are so many better SRPGs. This isn't terrible, but if you're willing to shell out extra for the collectors version of this you can likely afford to just go with a much better game
@Daniel36 They're pretty "meh"
Not terrible, but you'll likely forget the plot after a few months. I cannot remember the name of a single character. That may just be me, but I doubt it
@XBontendo thanks for the info. Sounds like a pass then. I loved FFTactics but when I replayed it on PSP I was more annoyed than happy... and that was a good story!
@Daniel36 Loved the PS1 game back in the day. Nostalgia for that may be a tough thing to top
