Launching next week on Nintendo Switch is Illusion of L'Phalcia, an RPG which released on mobile devices back in 2014.
The game comes from Exe Create Inc. and Kemco and features animated skill chains and magic in turn-based 3D battles. We've got a description of the game's story for you below, as well as a trailer (admittedly for the PlayStation versions) above.
The Sword of Amal is said to grant any wish so long as it is provided magic power. Ryser believes in the sword's existence and is in the middle of searching for all the map pieces that lead to the sword when he runs into Tiana, a mysterious girl being chased by soldiers. Tiana assumes he is a thief that steals from ruins, and their relationship turns sour quick. She turns out to be the princess of Gardenia, the bordering nation, and is also looking for the Sword of Amal. What awaits these young heroes as they set off to look for the sword together? Thus begins the intertwining tale of three nations, an elusive organization, and the lives of everyone in the world!
It launches on 1st August for $12.99 / £11.69, but you can now get 10% off if you choose to pre-purchase the game ahead of release.

Its pretty bad when Evolution on DC back in 1999 looks better than this.
Another Kemco 'classic', fresh from the cookie cutter / Ctrl+V studio.
How many games can one company make? It feels like kemco is releasing a new rpg every week!
Having played this on mobile... and while it is one of the 'better' Kemco efforts - that's pretty much it. It's pretty standard fare in all other regards, and almost completely forgettable.
@TurboTEF Trust me on this, Evolution on DC was a lot more fun to play as well.
RPG maker called, they don't want this game either
"an RPG which released on mobile devices back in 2014"
Say no more...
"The game comes from Exe Create Inc. and Kemco"
Ahh, you had to go and say more didn't you...
Now I'm definitely not buying it.
this looks dreadful! its a no from me
Looks kinda cool, but mobile port :/
Graphically looks like a PSP game running on an emulator. Amusing too how the game a) has no lighting at all, and b) they forgot to model the backs of the pillars in the fourth screenshot.
Good job guys, top marks, bonuses all round.
@Xelha I just checked their wiki...they’ve been making games since NES, and I don’t see a single stand out title.
The closest they got were a couple of Bugs Bunny games.
I wonder how Kemco has kept going for this long? It’s crazy.
@Xelha If they have, it'd be impossible to find it among all their other garbage.
The name though...
I cannot be the only one who saw L’Phallic when quickly glancing at this article.
Are we running out of good title choices?
I, too, want to eat my stomach full with the best meat.
@LunarFlame17 Was thinking the same thing my brain
Kemco train keeps a chuggin
@imgrowinglegs City Interactive (I think they are CI Games now) has released nothing but garbage for years and made bank anyway. When you make games that cheap you don't need much to turn a profit and keep going.
There was a filmmaker names Roger Corman who made almost exclusively garbage monster movies that are only good for a laugh. They were all profitable because they were so cheap to make many of them wrapped up production in less than a week.
Pure efficiency.
@nocdaes you win the comments, lol
@imgrowinglegs If their games don't cost all that much to produce, they are able to sell them for 4,99 for smartphones and still get profit. I guess people will buy these games because they are so cheap and they just need some kind of entertainment. Then Kemco can repeat the process every week and thats about it.
Keeeeeeem
Coooooooo
@Barbara001 this is like a 5 year old mobile rpg. It's decent by those standards, but I paid like $3 for it lol. I wouldn't buy at this price. Still, just as a soft "defense" to your question, what we are seeing on Switch are ports of a back catalog.
Www kemco... Utter garbage
@xelha I have been constantly visiting this site for almost 3 years now. Never had the intention or commenting (or creating a profile for that matter. But I just did to mention that Lagoon on SNES, developed by Kemco is a hidden gem among the console huge library. Worth to check it out. It might be the exception of the company though....
The only Illusion I'll tolerate is Illusion of Gaia or gtfo lol
@xanderten50
Oh I believe it, I really enjoyed the 50+ hours I put into 1 & 2 back in 1999-2001. Kinda hope a cleaned up port with some improvements happens at some point.
