I am struggling to be excited about a collection of the same fighting game, and especially since I just bought a street fighter game for switch, do i need more of the exact same street fighter game, nah probably not.

Wow guys pushing Pokemon go much today? Does anyone even still play it? Is it even a Nintendo Game when it's on mobile platform?

@River3636 Couldn't agree more, setsuna was a total snooze fest. This is definitely more of the same. For somethign that claimed to be inspired by chrono trigger (Setsuna and by extension lost sphear)... it comes across uninspired in general.

8/10 much higher than anyone else's reviews. This site is trying too hard to prop up average games and it really shows.

Not sure why this is a surprise. Miitomo was garbage on day 1. As per usual Nintendo hype hides the reality of the product. Watch this happen with labo, the next hot garbage, literally Nintendo printed on cardboard origami with a game app no better than 1 2 switch or Nintendo land. Watch it flop .

I'm not sure about these games. I was tempted to buy number 3 on 3ds but always looked like diet ff tactics to me, maybe I will give them a go though.

@strenny same boat as you, our tv doesn't have Netflix so we have used the Wii U on it and still do. My bet is that Nintendo knows how many hours it's Wii U spent on netflix, which has been its primary job due to such poor game releases over the Wii U life time, and they won't make the same mistake twice.

Netflix on switch would be a massive commercial blunder. The switch may be capable but it's not in Nintendo's interest to share any more screen time with Netflix than they have to. Think about families who limit kids playtime on hand held devices, do you want that screen time spent on your proprietary games or on a competitors software? Why allow a competitor on board your own money train? It would be insane to do this. This is why no Netflix on switch. Nintendo ain't dumb!

I totally agree on VR, its not fun except when done on a high end pc which is simply out of reach to most households, including mine.

The biggest issue with it, is that kid a puts on a $2000 head set attached to a $2500 pc and kid b sits there saying my turn my turn my turn. Not fun for anyone, least of all the parents. Nintendo knows this and they know how to make fun.

@gatorboi352 I don't know anyone who owns a 4k tv. The majority of households do not. Nintendo is correct.

For me, ther eis no point in upgrading my tv to 4k, it doesnt really look much better than my 1080p tv, and certainly offers no value when it costs twice as much.

A $350 4ktv must be a real hunk of crap because you cant get them that cheap anywhere in Australia.

My entire family played this game on our nes back in the day and we passed it many times. I always love it more than dd2 which is too easy by comparison. This game deserves better than a 7. In its day the fact you beat bosses and could switch to use them was a big deal! The music is memorable too, simple but good.

I dont have any pictures but getting our NES with Mario and Zelda on Christmas day around 1991 or so.

The nes versions of double dragon 2&3 are my favourite double dragon games but might give this a crack!

Pre orders have been open in Aus all week. If they offered Pokemon Crystal and a mug here too I would have bought it already.

The combat in Xenoblade is so slow that the new 3ds version went back to the shop so fast I never noticed characters speaking. Going to give Xenoblade 2 a miss. It may be an rpg, my favourite genre but damn the combat is slow.

8bitdo pads are awesome. I have several and they are great. I will be getting both of the colour variants of these.

I'm happy to buy the game knowing much of the profit will help toms son!

I like the look of this and they are using a decent battery. But my GBA AGS-101 and everdrive GBA X5 can do most of these things. Sure not SNES, that's a plus for this little gadget.

As soon as I see kemco now I dont even bother watching trailers or looking at screenshots.

I'll be getting Skyrim, octopath and radiant historia. I just can't get into etrian odyssey, tried but it's too slow. Same problem as Xenoblade the combat is just too slow it would eye gouging to sit and play 50 hrs of that.

@MegaTen I realise they didn't develop the game, but they published it. Lagoon isn't a very good game either... So that developer isn't looking great.
Kemcos not without talent, just seem to misplace it... Like all of it... fairly frequently especially when it comes to sub par 3ds RPGs. The best part of those games is the copious cartoon cleavage.

Well I actually think SMB 3 on nes is the best Mario game hands down. You can keep your 3d in my opinion.

@MooPenguin32 no probs dude! Damn I love the SNES in general though. Great console. I'm torn right now about whether to look at buying an ossc or the analogue nt hdmi snes console. The ossc can do other consoles but you need all the rgb cables at $50 a piece. I have decided that Retro gaming ain't a cheap habit... My modded SNES mini of course does whatever I want and as does my desktop PC but the authenticity of a real system can't be beat. I still think it just looks better too.

@tangram I still have my MD and games too. It doesn't have as many rpgs that's for sure but it has a lot to offer. Sega MD was more popular than snes in my school as a kid apparently this was the case in many places in the UK too.

@MooPenguin32 US and JP SNES are both NTSC, no lockout, games are interchangeable on all models. You just cant play PAL carts from the EU or AUS and vice versa. I have a JP SFC and an adapter that allows me to play US games without modding the console's case. In a pinch you can unscrew the cart and plug the pcb straight into the console, it works.

Shining Force good, Golden Sun AMAZING! they both are actually outstanding RPG series.

But I have megadrive games on my mini...SNES mini anyway.

There are some GREAT Megadrive games, it has the FAR superior versions of Aladdin and NBA Jam as well.

Yet to meet a procedurally generated game I like. Pass.
