Back in May, Konami released its free-to-play title Super Bomberman R Online on the Nintendo Switch and multiple other platforms.
If you've not played it yet, this is the battle-royale take on the long-running series - allowing up to 64-players to blast each other away online. Now, a few months on, Konami has revealed the game has now surpassed 3 million downloads. This takes into account the combined total of all platforms.
To celebrate, Konami is giving anyone who plays the game before 25th July 500 Bomber Coins as a special thanks.
Bomber coins are the in-game currency - allowing you to buy new outfits and unlock various other in-game items in the shop. These same coins can also be purchased with real money, and there are even some special themed skins to choose from based on Konami IP and more.
If you've not given this game a go yet, keep in mind it's a free download. Will you be returning to Bomberman online to claim your free Bomber Coins? Leave a comment down below.

Gave this a try recently, even though I'm not the best player, I like it for a few casual rounds of Bomberman. Actually, I ended up installing it on both Switch and PC. Redeemed this reward on both this morning.
Imagine how much less popular this game would be if it remained a Stadia exclusive lol
Bomberman R Online got the prize for the game I got tired of the fastest. Boot it up, and deleted it after a couple rounds.
It's such a shame I can't click with this game.
Have updates fixed the previous 4+ minutes load times?
I would be playing a few rounds of this most days, if not for the ridiculous load times. Bomberman Online on WiiWare was the same. The game is great fun too. It'll be a shame if they don't fix it. They need to be drastically reduced though.
This game is really fun, didn't think it would, but ya.
I put dozens of hours on this game on Stadia when it first came out, playing in bot-filled games to grind the Bomber Pass and in hopes for an update to bolster things out. Had to quit when I saw Stadia wasn’t getting the Crossplay features for Bomber 64. I can still grind and flaunt cosmetics in its dedicated Standard Mode community, but I mainly liked playing Bomber 64.
Honestly I think we need more battle royales like this. The genre is oversaturated but idk retro game battle royales are always great. A shmup battle royale would be interesting, something like that
I absolutely love this game but almost never play it because of the loading times 😔
Put a lot of hours into this on Stadia with friends. It's a great game and delighted it's open to everyone now. Still play it on Games Night regularly.
Bomberman has definitely gotta be on the shortlist of assist trophies that would be next up to graduate to fighter in the inevitable followup to Ultimate. (Along with Isaac, Waluigi, and Skull Kid).
@Muddy_4_Ever Yeah they have, the games load faster now since the last update.
@StefanN I've found the loading times fine since the update. It's much better than when it launched.
Used my coins to buy some Super Contra music!
fun game and I love that they don't make you sign in with some stupid login and password just to play it, like a lot of other free games require.
The only thing I'm interested in from Konami is a proper revival of Silent Hill and Castlevania.
@Clyde_Radcliffe Ooooh when was it updated? I gotta check that out then!

(wonders about whether the "Bomberman Online" mentioned in this message was a reference to a certain Bomberman Blast game or not)
@Mario500 Yeah that's the one. I used to play it a lot and put up the annoyances and disconnects. Not any more. That said, last time I tried the new one, it was much quicker to get into a match.
