GungHo Online Entertainment has announced its free-to-play Nintendo Switch eShop exclusive Ninjala has now reached a whopping eight million downloads worldwide since it arrived on the platform in June 2020.
Once again, it'll be thanking the community by awarding players with 100 Jala each (that's the in-game currency). Be sure to check your inbox before 1st December to claim this sweet reward.
This download update follows on from the reveal of a special in-game collaboration with the virtual Japanese pop idol, Hatsune Miku. The event titled 'Magical Mirai 2021 tour' runs until November 7th and gives players the chance to "battle to the beat" with several Hatsune Miku-themed costumes, emotes, decorations, stickers and more.

I wonder how many people have played it more than once? …that’s all I did
I genuinely always forget about this game. I couldn't get into it. Glad to hear it's at least mildly successful though.
Glad this game has an audience still, even if I got bored of the game a long time ago
Literally the ugliest art style I have ever seen in a game. How this got so many downloads is beyond me. Is it FTP? Maybe that's why.
@BloodNinja Yup, price is 0.00$ in the US and £0.00 in Pounds.
@Irfann THAT'S why, thanks
Can you choose who you play with/against, or will the game only pair you with randos?

The Miku collab did wonders it seems. This game is really fun and I hope more people try it.
i pop in and out occasionally, i can only play a ftp for so long before burning out again. i still really dig aesthetic of the outfits and weapons, wish they'd announce more story chapters
glad the games still doing good enough for these big name collabs, the games only been improving since launch
one of the best games of the worlds
@BloodNinja Idk. I felt like the art style is the least of the games problems from what I played on launch. Maybe its the stupid buck tooth every character seems to have?
The gameplay felt wack and very automated in a bad way so I bailed real quick.
And deleted 7.99 million times ba dum tss
@NinTasha Wouldn't call that bad taste. Different taste. Different people like different things.
Never heard of this game before. Looks kind of like somebody put ARMS and Splatoon in a blender, just by the art. I'm sure the gameplay is nothing like that though.
@Ardisan That’s no surprise to me!
8 million downloads but how many people are actually still playing the game? They never disclose that.
BloodNinja just has bad taste in any game tbh 🤷
