Re: Video: Digital Foundry Tests Switch 2's GameCube Emulation

babybilly

@Stormcloudlive I don't agree at all with your "drip feed being the whole point" comment. I waited for like 4 or 5 years before getting nso for switch because it simply didn't seem worth it. Honestly with the choices it had, it wasn't even worth keeping for me, there are dozens of other games I wish were available but still aren't there even a few years later. Having more content/options is not a bad thing & I really don't see how it could be.

Re: Switch 2 Dock Supports VRR After All, But It Doesn't Actually Work With Console

babybilly

@Porco Lol you should get off the forums for a bit, buddy 😂 I have no idea if Switch 2 will hit the numbers the og did. Obviously the new console has issues, so does almost every single new console that releases. And yes, basically every new console sells out of stock at first. But you just decided that what I said means something entirely different, I guess. Let me make it clear: I don't care about the stock selling out. I never even mentioned that. I'm talking about the several reports of the actual numbers of units sold for Switch 2. I guess if your argument is that if other consoles had a larger stock on day one, then no matter what it'd be the fastest selling, I suppose I don't have a great counterargument to that. But my point is it's selling more units than any other console in the world in its respective first month. That's not nothing & idk what the point of acting like it's nothing is even for. It's totally okay with me if you don't like S2, it's not for everyone. But acting like "everyone" has problems with it is goofy as hell lol. For decades PS2 was the fastest selling console in Japan & it was beat by switch 2 sales. It's obviously pretty popular.

Re: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Unleashes Two Physical Editions On Switch This September

babybilly

@Raifteiri I mean. Isn't it? Why would anyone want to buy "physically" if it meant you're literally just getting an empty plastic case. The game key is just as honest as a flimsy piece of paper but y'all keep trying to act like it's way worse or something 🤷🏽 it's 100% on the publisher for this decision & it's been around for a long time at this point. Personally I think both suck, but acting like one is better is just pointless imo.

Re: Review: Hitman World Of Assassination - Signature Edition (Switch 2) - Not Yet The Showstopping Port 47 Deserves

babybilly

@Hero-of-WiiU No I didn't, but if that makes you feel better, sure. It's pretty well known that the quality of a port or games in general on Nintendo's hardware can vary wildly. Links Awakening & Echoes of wisdom run pretty choppy, even on switch 2 (even as we're seeing several games run better on it without even needing a paid upgrade) still runs pretty choppy. Would you consider those to be games that are very demanding that it makes sense they run with issues? No. Hitman 3 has dips even on PS4 so it's really not that shocking, is my point. It's a demanding game whether you think so or not

Re: Fortnite Devs Hit With Unfair Labour Practice Filing Following AI Darth Vader Fiasco

babybilly

I didn't realize so many people were against SAG-AFTRA, did they do something wrong? Sorry I'm not very informed on this subject & I didn't see many comments saying the actual reason why they don't like them (other than simply mentioning JEJ is no longer with us & his family apparently still gets paid from this or something). I thought that people were almost universally against AI voice work in games because of the possible progression of repercussions it could lead to, artwork or voice acting in other media being the prime example

Re: Hideki Kamiya Intended To Continue Bayonetta With Another Trilogy

babybilly

Not sure if it was mentioned, but isn't Bayonetta owned by Sega? Not at all by Nintendo or Platinum? @Olliemar28 This article ending with "what PlatinumGames intends to do with the IP" is not really accurate cause they can't really do anything with the IP without at least Sega.
@Yalloo You're welcome to your opinions but I just wanted to point out that Astral Chain outsold Bayonetta 3. So the "very generic" game outsold the arguably biggest Bayonetta game lol. Many action game fans on Switch say AC is one of their favorite Switch games, while Bayonetta 3 is often called the worst of the trilogy. Also Kamiya oversaw Astral Chain's development & had several other names that worked on past Platinum made games attached

Re: Opinion: It's Time To Get Rid Of Fall Damage

babybilly

I love all the people acting offended by this article. It's just an opinion & it's not hurting anyone, calm down. It's pathetic people getting angry at a journalist doing their job, reminds me of privileged people screaming in others faces when they don't get exactly what they want in a timely fashion or their beliefs don't perfectly align. I do disagree like most of the comments, imagine playing 2D games or platformers where pits didn't kill you.. that would be strange. I'd wager just about all video games consider fall damage when they're in the designing stages, it's not like it's a thoughtless obstacle.

Re: Random: Metroid Prime 4 'OG' Amazon Pre-Orders Are Being Cancelled

babybilly

@JohnnyMind @Antraxx777 It feels like there's a lot more examples than just breath of the wild of games that have gotten released on more than one console simultaneously. Also I'm not sure why it matters that it's a simultaneous release, it just makes sense that with a premier title that's been hyped for 8 years already will probably come to all of Nintendo's "current" consoles, assuming Switch 2 is out around the time Metroid comes out.
Doesn't it seem like it would be more confusing to not release a Switch 2 version? Cause then Nintendo would have to explain to their audience "Oh, no, actually it's digital only for our new console because it's a Switch game and you can play those on Switch 2 by going to the digital store!", or they'd have to put a label that everyone would complain about that says on every physical release post launch "Also plays on Switch 2!", which I think lots of older people buying the new Nintendo for their kid might not grasp immediately. I don't know why some people think this is outlandish but it's not that weird. Microsoft (used to) and Sony do this all the time with their games too. I suppose trying to guess what Nintendo will do is arrogant, I don't feel that strongly about it but I'm just saying it would make more sense to me if they released it for both consoles.

Re: Random: Metroid Prime 4 'OG' Amazon Pre-Orders Are Being Cancelled

babybilly

@JohnnyMind They did it with Breath of the Wild. It will come to Switch but I don't see why it wouldn't also be coming to Switch 2 or at least be playable on Switch 2. Given the demand, it would be surprising if they didn't make it playable on their new console. With how little details Nintendo is giving, anything could happen I suppose. What exactly did you mean by the LM2 and TTYD "situation"?

Re: Random: Metroid Prime 4 'OG' Amazon Pre-Orders Are Being Cancelled

babybilly

@Tasuki Your comment is completely incorrect. The game exists, it's just not out. It was just reconfirmed like 6 months ago by Nintendo that it's coming to Switch, which means it will probably run on Switch 2, but that doesn't mean the Switch version is cancelled. It's the only platform MP4 is confirmed for.
@Tendogamerxxx It's a switch game. It's releasing on switch.

Re: Random: Metroid Prime 4 'OG' Amazon Pre-Orders Are Being Cancelled

babybilly

@silberbauer15 @Enigk Amazon to my knowledge does not charge for pre orders, I believe their policy is to not charge anything until your order is preparing to ship. So nobody actually lost anything from this.
Maybe this will encourage people to not pre order things since it's obvious that most retailers do not feel beholden to follow through for buying before release in any meaningful way. Just buy things when they actually exist, people. This is the better way.

Re: Multiple Cartoon Network Games Have Been Removed From The Switch eShop

babybilly

I don't know if you can redeem it digitally since it's not on the eshop, but Target and Best Buy are still selling digital codes for Samurai Jack for $40. This is terrible news especially since it only had a limited print of physicals and now the prices will get even worse. Not sure about if the other titles all had physicals but the prices for those will surely increase as well.

Re: Palworld Developer Pocketpair Changes Pokémon-Like Summoning Mechanic

babybilly

@weisske If you say so lol. This is literally an exchange you had this year with another commenter that you did respond to:
>I asked this on another thread already but what nintendo console is/was Palworld on? I tried looking on the switch eshop but it's not there. Is it physical only or something?
>>Its on Xbox gamepass, and steam. Not on Switch or PS5. If you can id recommend playing palworld though its janky, it is fun.
>Wait if it's not on nintendo then why is Nintendolife talking about it? I thought they had separate sites for sony and xbox games?
>>Because alot of the monsters in the game look like pokemon with slight changes. Also people were expecting Nintendo to take legal action.

So... you lied lol. You've known that this game isn't on switch, just like it's already mentioned in every article you keep asking about it. It was easy enough to look it up in your previous comments, but you just keep asking the same thing for some reason lol. This website brings it up so much because it's a Nintendo news site. Not a "Nintendo games only" site.

Re: Rumour: One Of Kirby's 3DS Titles Will Return Next Year, It's Claimed

babybilly

@Axecon I'm sorry if you misunderstood, but RC is a touchscreen game. Not motion controlled. I don't see how the game is going to feel good playing when it's literally about drawing lines for attacking and platforming. Without a touchscreen (and while yes the switch has that) I still have serious doubt they would be able to make that work naturally docked on the switch. If your claim about RC getting trademark renewal means Nintendo was doing something new with it, I'd honestly expect a sequel to it rather than a port that would take quite a bit of effort to even attempt to capture what the og felt like. It feels like the kind of gameplay offered from it and its DS counterpart, Canvas Curse, are meant specifically as touchscreen experiences. Your examples being converted to switch aren't even really good examples, btw. Aonuma I believe went out of his way to mention that's why they charged a higher price for Skyward Sword than the Wii version, was the effort they had to put into porting. So... not "easily modifiable".
Also Metroid prime originally came out on GameCube, it shouldn't have been hard making that control scheme work lol. But since we're talking about it, MP remastered is hugely reworked with new models, textures, lighting, etc. It was not a low-effort ordeal. If you were talking about the port of MP1 and 2 to the Wii, that was only a simple transition due to the framework of MP3.
So... do you have any better examples? Or are you just guessing? It's not nice to spread rumors, right? Or is it just the stupid and nonsensical ones that are bad?
Also I don't think Nintendo will be releasing Kirby on switch as a multi-pack. They just released Return to Dreamland, a Wii remaster, for full price. $20 more than Metroid remastered. Pretending like you know better than any other rumor makes you look kinda silly. Why were you so convinced Nintendo would give people such a good deal with some of the highest revered games in the series?

Re: Rumour: One Of Kirby's 3DS Titles Will Return Next Year, It's Claimed

babybilly

@Axecon What? Why is this rumor nonsensical exactly? Why would it make more sense for it to come to switch as a two pack with triple deluxe? Why would they choose Rainbow Curse of all things, nobody would play that game without touch controls, and Nintendo wouldn't release a first party game that you couldn't play on the tv.
Sorry for the barrage of questions but for someone who claimed this rumor article was "stupid and nonsensical", you sure made some interesting leaps of logic.

Re: Review: Life Is Strange: Double Exposure (Switch) - Not Quite Picture Perfect On Switch

babybilly

Not surprising, I knew with the horrible ports of the lis remasters on switch that this would also have bad performance. I honestly wouldn't even care, except these are narrative focused games which aren't that graphically demanding, but still somehow poorly optimized compared to many good looking ports on Switch already.. will definitely be picking this up on PS5 eventually

Re: Palworld Announces Surprise Collaboration With Terraria

babybilly

@weisske Palworld is not on Switch and probably never will be. The articles are all about how Nintendo has filed lawsuits against the developers of Palworld. Even if that wasn't happening, it probably would not get ported because a 3D open world game running on unreal engine 5 would melt your console. You'll need a PC, an Xbox, or a PS5 to play it. It actually says in this very article that Palworld is not available on Switch lol.
