It seems that Nintendo has come a long way in recent months when it comes to keeping amiibo stock in line with the demand. While it may be that the absolute newest figures are still pretty scarce, it's no longer a matter of mostly just first wave amiibo being available. Unfortunately, retailer exclusive amiibo are still an issue, but it seems now that another amiibo is soon going to be made available elsewhere.
Information for the Jigglypuff amiibo has been spotted in the system for GameStop, meaning that it is no longer only available at Target. Whether other retailers will be following suit still remains to be seen, but at least Jigglypuff will be made more readily available in the coming months. The listing indicates that the amiibo will start to be sold from GameStop on 4th February, so keep your eyes peeled.
What do you think? Will you be picking up the Jigglypuff amiibo? What do you think of retailer exclusive amiibo? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

I remember waiting on line screaming "JIGGLYPUFF IS MY WAIFU" on the line, in hopes that I would get one, did I? (••). ( ••)>⌐□-□. (⌐□_□) YEE, I GOT JIGGLY WITH IT!
They really need to drop the exclusivity, but that's my opinion : P
Good. They can continue to just have a wall of Dr Mario & Lottie that nobody wants.
I worked at Target and our Amiibo wall was abysmal the entire time I worked there, it still is. But now I'm at Best Buy and our area is a bit messy but there's a lot of what were once "rare" amiibo. Every store got a different restock though, because Fry's had a lot of other goodies I can't find elsewhere too.
Jigglypuff has been available at Walmart in Canada since day one. I've seen it there a couple times.
I never spent above msrp for amiibos before so I am happy the exclusive ones are getting spread to other stores and the previously rare ones are now not rare. Honestly I have to many (20, about half have been gifts from family) but I like them so I guess it doesn't matter as long like anything I do it in moderation.
Great news. Over here in Europe it's much easier and convenient being able to grab amiibo from different retailers.
Jigglypuff is definitely one of my favorite characters, outside of Shulk, Samus, Sonic, Peach, Link, and Lucas. No one beats Jigglypuff with the straw hat on. I don't care what anybody says.
I paid £30.00 for my jigglypuff amiibo after my pre-order messed up. Such is my love for the jiggly one. True story.
@SCAR you've got a lot of favourite characters!
Me Want! 😝
Jiggly is the only Pokemon amiibo I'm missing so yes!
I actually waited outside a Target for 2 hours just to snag a Jigglypuff for one of my friends.
Again, this is inaccurate. It is no longer exclusive in the United States. In Canada it is still Walmart exclusive as far as we know.
Good for me, I guess, since there's no Targets too close to here, but GS is right nearby, and I don't have Jigglypuff yet...too bad I want the other upcoming DLC character Amiibos more though...
"In North America" ... Target does not exist in Canada anymore.
oh, how cute. I told myself I would only buy Zelda and Metroid amiibos so I don't go broke, but I might have to make an exception for Jigglypuff (and Bayonetta).
(^_^ )
I don't think I'll get Jigglypuff but I'm regretting not picking up Kirby & Samus. My son bought me Shovel Knight the other day and passed on Lucas for himself.
Good. I know it's "not my problem" given in Europe these gimmicks aren't commonplace, but I was never a fan of store exclusives to begin with. Great to see this problem with Jigglypuff is solved for you yanks!
They stop doing this awhile ago. Now I see lottie, lucario, greninja, and others exclusive back in stock.
@adamatsu
Yup. I don't even main anyone, anymore. I don't even play Smash Bros. that often anymore, but I still go to For Fun every once in a while.
Amiibo stock is improving! My local toys r us had a wall filled with villagers! Did I buy them all for scalping? Heck no! I bought one for my self and that was all! Now he and my retro 3 pack are the highlight of my relatively small collection!
