A bit extreme but I agree with the guy. This happens in other games as well. Sky Children of Light is a good example of this, but with cosmetics. In most seasons you're lucky to get ONE male or even unisex cape or hairstyle, leaving most male players little incentive to purchase a season pass and participate. I've considered buying Splatoon in the past since i've never tried it. But knowing this now I probably won't since I am big into customization.

Stop using the term Boomer Shooter. That term comes from Gen Z people not knowing the history of the genre. Not because "gun go boom", you guys will parrot nearly anything you read. RETRO FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS were made by Gen X and played by Gen X and Millennials.

They should have remastered Double Dragon Advance instead. It seems like that development team actually understood what made the original great and amplified it.

It's not the bugs, it's a poorly made game. As the saying goes; You can't polish a turd. The biggest offence for me is Gollums horrible voice actor.

I was hoping it would make it's way to Switch. I've been wanting to play this one for years!! Day one purchase for me.

How about a Double Dragon inspired Double Dragon game instead? I'd much rather have a remaster of Double Dragon Advance, which is still the best Double Dragon game and will probably remain so. They understood what made Double Dragon great. These developers clearly do not.

If they still haven't addressed the way too common soft lock bugs i'm going to be pissed. I'm still going to play, lol... but still.

This is why the prices of retro games are so much now. A bunch of greedy hoarders then declare that they're "rare" (I WONDER WHY) so they can justify reselling them for a couple/few hundred.. sometimes even more. Despicable.

Games that rely too heavily on visuals almost always fail where it counts most... gameplay. I knew this game would be subpar simply by watching some gameplay footage. The gameplay itself looks very cheap and amateur.

Spam drifting ruined Mario Kart 8 for me. The only ones that win are the ones in a constant drift boost state it's just not fun to play. I can only imagine this is a prominent feature in modern kart racers in general so I don't even bother with them.

I hope the gollums voice has improved since the initial reveal because it was glaringly amateur.

@Severus_Snape Luckily alot of us are more into gameplay than graphics. Just because it doesn't look like modern games, doesn't mean the graphics are bad. Compared to other games from it's time, as one should, it looks just fine.

It must have built in online messaging and voice chat or I will not even consider it. Most games i've played have online play that is dead on arrival because of it. Especially coop multiplayer where a little communication is needed. Also being able to make new friends thru games, and being able to plan future online sessions with them is all non existent.

Nobody liked these games then and they did poorly. What's with the trend of looking for crappy games to rerelease, while ignoring the ones people liked and actually played? What's next, a Color Dreams collection?

I will no longer support Digerati and I hope others follow. 99% of their games are pure crap anyway. I emailed them a few years ago suggesting some balancing tweaks and visual improvements to one of their janky games and they proceeded to disregard everything I said and mocked/trolled me. I've never in my life seen such petty, childish behavior.

I prefer calling them retroshooters because the old games were mostly made by Gen X people. The majority of boomers loathe video games, while they stare blankly at their TVs lol

@nocdaes What irks me even more is that you know they've done some play testing and you know they have experienced this bug, yet they still release it anyway.

On top of all that, they released it buggy and unfinished. I will not support this company in any way, i'm tired of developers think they can just rush a game out, knowing it's issues and just say "sorry" thinking that makes everything ok. It doesn't.

@Expa0 100% agree. Fight N' Rage is how it's done on the Switch. Double Dragon Neon is good but i've been spoiled by Double Dragon Advance.. which I wish they would port to the switch.

@Bizzyb I've play countless brawlers in my day this is by far one of the dullest i've ever played. 2 players would not make it any better, we would both be bored. This game is all style, zero substance.

I'm going to pass on this. I tried the trial demo of RCG 1 recently and it was one of the dullest, sluggish brawlers i've ever played. I was bored out of my mind.

I wish more developers would delay their games so we wouldn't have to deal with this surge of broken janky games.

@VoidofLight I couldn't agree more. I want to love this genre so bad.. but for the most part it's been pretty underwhelming. I have this game installed and i'm trying real hard to like it. But so far, it's just ok. It's very forgettable.

I call them Retro FPS. It was us Gen X and Millenials who were playing these games, not boomers. I'd love to watch my boomer dad play Doom LOL

I couldn't care less. They need to focus on gameplay more than anything.
