Re: Trails In The Sky 2nd Chapter Scheduled For 2026 Release

Zoda_Fett

Greatest jrpg series of all time getting remakes of not just the first but all three games. Third is not confirmed yet obviously but it will be. Crazy…. It’s nice that the general audience can play these games but I really think it’s not gonna matter in the end. The mainstream audience can not handle a long consecutive story and it’s been proven, that’s why every sequel is not connected. It’s sad but it’s the hard truth… I’m extremely excited for second chapter, as it’s one of my all time favorite games and it’s, imo, one of the best games in the series. Falcom is a really special developer and a lot of people don’t realize how long they’ve been around. They’re quite literally the first people to make a video game RPG with Dragon Slayer that predates even Dragon Quest 1. I hope people enjoyed the FC remake, im really hoping Kai 2 gets announced. But regardless in the US we get Sky SC remake, kai(beyond the horizon), and Ys Proud Nordics, so it’ll be an amazing year. Hopefully Tokyo xanadu 2 comes out in JP but I’m not expecting a TL next year. Please give this developers games a try, they’re made with passion and love and if you like jrpgs or ARPGs you will have a delightful experience with either Kiseki(trails), Ys, xanadu, Zwei, or others!

Re: Review: Lunar Remastered Collection (Switch) - Two Of The Most Charming RPGs Ever Get A Fair, If Flawed, Port

Zoda_Fett

Everything relating to the information on the translation is so confusing. I’m seeing some say the script is the exact same from the og working designs but also some are saying the jokes are removed.. so which is it? I don’t wanna pay for a copy and paste of something that should’ve had work done to it, so I would really like a clear answer on if the stupid inserts are there or not

Re: Switch Listing For Classic Square RPG SaGa Frontier 2 Surfaces Online

Zoda_Fett

@wuntyme8 great picks. Happy Valkyrie Profile 1 is getting ported to the ps4, hoping a switch version comes after time but we’ll see.
Xenosaga is Namco so it’s up to them as for Xenogears.. nothing I’d want more but I have a feeling if it does get brought over Takahashi will have no hand in it whatsoever. Which would be ok if it’s just a straight port but I don’t think they’d bother with just porting the game untouched.

Re: Switch Listing For Classic Square RPG SaGa Frontier 2 Surfaces Online

Zoda_Fett

I plan on playing the Saga series eventually but I really wish it was a listing for xenosaga 😔 Xenoblade fans that haven’t played yet deserve to experience that trilogy on modern hardware.
Fingers crossed for Terranigma getting the HD-2D treatment after Live a Live but that’s not something I’d hold my breath for.

Re: Xenoblade Artist, Secret Of Mana Composer Working On New Switch RPG

Zoda_Fett

@Bobb it’s ironic you mention those specific things you’re not a fan of when both games have it as much, X arguably having the most across the entire franchise.

@DJDM nothing random about it, Takahashi has known him for awhile and he was supposed to work on character designs for gears. Never happened because he was working on a final fantasy game at the time

Re: Atlus Is Teasing Something On A New Soul Hackers Countdown Website

Zoda_Fett

@N00BiSH soul hackers is actually a really great megaten game to gauge where you should go depending on what you liked about it. The game is split between some new and old mechanics, as well as having some of the early QOL changes megaten received as more entries came out(demon compendium to register fusions, apps ). But it’s also a first person dungeon crawler like SMT1, 2 and if and has an older mechanic called Magnetite that you have to keep up with. If it is your thing you should play the super famicom mainlines and if it isn’t try playing newer mainlines or other spin-offs

Re: NIS America Releases A Switch eShop Demo For The Upcoming JRPG 'MONARK'

Zoda_Fett

Have been interested since their first promotion was out with the phone number that is answered with screams following a couple ominous lines. The team itself is also something i found interesting, after playing the demo all doubts have been erased. Gameplay seems pretty fun and the music is incredible, looking forward to release.

Re: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Gets New 'Fight' Trailer Ahead Of Upcoming Switch Launch

Zoda_Fett

I haven’t seen anyone mention it in case others don’t know; you should play persona 4 golden as well as persona 3 Fes or Persona 3 Portable(whichever you prefer although fes is debatably the best version). This game has spoilers for both mainlines so be mindful of that.

Unlike most I was really hoping the rumors for this port were true. I understand the frustration with no mainline being added but instead sequel spin-offs and honestly it’s really frustrating as an atlus/megaten fan. I hope the mainline personas do get ported to switch eventually(please no digital exclusive) so more people can properly enjoy strikers and now P4U. I’m really upset this won’t be getting a physical release in the west but I guess I’ll just import. Hoping the Japanese physical has English options so I don’t have to purchase twice (ー ー ; )

Re: 'The World Ends With You' Could Get Another Game If Fans Show Their Support

Zoda_Fett

Neo is my game of the year without a doubt. There was definitely a lot of amazing titles this year, SMTV being a close second.. but neo just offered everything I could ask for in a game. Absolutely wonderful follow up to a legendary DS game I was so entranced in at the time. It’s a real shame square neglected advertisement to this game because it’s a true gem any jrpg lover or enjoyer should experience. That being said I highly doubt this content will come which is a damn shame as it would probably be as awesome as the base game. I would really love it to happen but it’s just not likely. Here’s hoping tho

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate Nintendo's 2021?

Zoda_Fett

Gonna go with 9 considering I put over 1k hours on my switch despite beating a lot of games across many systems. SMT V, Dread, and MH rise are imo the best switch exclusives now and I’m really happy nocturne is on it. I have a feeling 2022 is gonna be on the same level if not perhaps better than this year

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 16th)

Zoda_Fett

I miss the polls that used to be at the bottom ); but I’ll be playing mostly SMT2, perhaps if I finish I’ll start replaying the gameboy fire emblems to get ready for the supposed POR remaster, crossing fingers. Just been clearing my backlog lately while also going back to MH rise(might play that as well since my friends finally made it to high rank).

Re: Best Nintendo 3DS RPGs

Zoda_Fett

So happy to see Soul Hackers on there, great game and peak megaten! Highly recommend it, but there’s also a lot of other great jrpgs on here. 3DS surely has tons of hidden gems across all genres and jrpgs is definitely one of the larger categories.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Switch Game Of The Year 2020

Zoda_Fett

In terms of best experience I had it would be Tokyo Mirage. I know it’s not a new release technically but I missed out on the wiiu version and I was so happy they ported it. It was one of the few(including xeno x) that I really wanted but didn’t expect a port of. In terms of best new content this year, it would be the three houses dlc. I celebrated this fire emblem anniversary pretty intensely!
