Re: Editorial: Mandatory Memory Cards for Switch Retail Games is a Messy Solution

Zoda_Fett

I ain't gonna complain, I was gonna get an sd card eventually anyways. Anyone who whines about this seriously needs to cool out. I mean I gaurentee you're not gonna just get physical games anyways. Eshop exclusives are too damn tempting. The set amount of GB's on the switch isn't that much(not that little either) so an extended storage is almost a must anyways. Y'all act like 3DS isn't mandatory to buy another SD card with that wimpy 2GB(or is it 4) we're given! Also I'm sure another reason why this is required is due to the price of manufacturing the cartridges. If you don't want retail games being more expensive than 60 than this is probably the compensation for it. In honesty this is a simple fix. SD cards are really not that expensive you can find them on amazon for 15 and up, and if you're lucky you'll strike a deal every now and then. I love Nintendo, you can call me a Nintendo fanboy and I'll agree with you without hesitation. However I do call Nintendo on their BS when it's due given, this though, is not one of those times.

Re: Series Producer Yoshio Sakamoto Is Interested In Making Another 2D Metroid

Zoda_Fett

UGH SAMUS RETURNS ALMOST HERE!!!!! I'm beyond excited! I know this sounds crazy but I may be more hyper for this then odyssey(don't get me wrong I'm practically screaming for that game but I really missed metroid). But I'm sure this will sell incredibly and Nintendo knows that so hopefully this'll push a brand new 2D metroid possibly on the switch. However I think, since the series hasn't seen light in a while, this is a test. Samus returns definitely isn't the target metroid game it's just being used to see how active the old fan base is. I'm sure they're using sales on this to determine the sales on prime 4. Regardless I'm sure they'll be impressed with how many of us direhard fans are still around. Well I'm starting the countdown now, 26 more days!!!!

Re: Stylish Switch eShop Title, Original Journey, is Brought Forward to a Q4 Release

Zoda_Fett

@Yasaal if you haven't bought any indie game I seriously recommend buying Cave Story+. Aside from it being my favorite game of all time, it plays absolutely perfectly on the switch, even if you have played it before, Its a different experience. There's also going to be plenty of content updates for it. So far we just got classic graphics and 2player is on the way.

Game looks neat, but I dunno if I'll buy this. I will definitely be really busy by Q4 with a lot of games. Samus returns, xenoverse 2, Mario odyssey, monster hunter stories, monster hunter XX 😅 Gonna be hard to keep up.

Re: Disgaea 5 Complete Passes 100,000 Sales on Nintendo Switch

Zoda_Fett

Glad games are proving to be successful. This hopefully encourages others to want to put their games on the switch. I mean the switch has been doing great with game sales, what puzzles me is how capcom can't clearly see that. Hopefully they open their eyes soon because they're gonna regret it later.

Anyways I haven't picked this up yet but I will maybe in a couple months when MHXX on switch has burned me out(which probably will take more than a year.. oop). But I will definitely cop this eventually.

Re: Feature: Basking in Nostalgia and '16-Bit' Goodness in Sonic Mania

Zoda_Fett

I'm beyond excited and I have been hyped for quite some time. I was never big into sonic when I was younger.. it just never really appealed to me. I played hours of sonic the hedgehog on GameCube, and many many hours of the collection on GameCube but that's about it. I played newer releases here and there that interested me like gen(imo the last decent game of the series.. inb4 color and boom defenders). But I have never been genuinely excited for a sonic game as much as I am. That being said I will buy this the second it becomes available.
Also for those complaining about no physical release, I don't think you understand... this game file is 156 MB... that's it. That's not nearly enough for a physical. They would not make enough money with production in mind. The game is $20 on the Eshop, can you really complain?

Does anyone know if this is gonna be a midnight release on switch?

Re: Lost Sphear Launches on 23rd January in the West

Zoda_Fett

YESSS!!! I'm very hyped for this, end trailer drew me in. And physical copy??? Did I hear physical??? I'll be pre ordering that first paycheck now Square Enix needs to give some details on Octopath Traveler. That game looks really good but I haven't heard any news it's concerning.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo 3DS Games of 2017 - Summer Edition

Zoda_Fett

@Octorok385 geez you're making me second guess myself on choice of upgrade. I agree I also loved the GBA SP for so long(and still do) but the 3DS library has certainty kept up to the GBA. I'm so glad I could grow up with both of these amazing handhelds. We're truly lucky Nintendo has given us the opportunity to grow with its handhelds. Gameboy SP had a sleek but simple design it was great, and to me that's how the N2DS XL is. It's just beautiful but simple at the same time. The N3DS non XL just looks classic. Everything about that handheld is perfected and I feel that the N2DS isn't far off. I can't wait to get my hands on it

Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo 3DS Games of 2017 - Summer Edition

Zoda_Fett

@Octorok385 comes out in two weeks I'll let you know once I get my hands on it, I just ordered an SD card and screen protector for it I'm excited!

How's the N3DS? I always wanted to get that specific system but after I was too slow to get the Pokémon anniversary I gave up. Definitely one of the coolest because face plates.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo 3DS Games of 2017 - Summer Edition

Zoda_Fett

There's some great new titles coming out and I'm so pumped. Glad I can really put my N2DS XL to use. Most excited for Samus returns because it's the metroid game I've been wanting for I dunno how long. Also really excited for Monster Hunter Stories because fingers were crossed for that to get localized. Hopefully the amiibo come too, otherwise I have no problem with importing them. 3DS is still very much alive. I hope people appreciate this more instead of complaining about how these games should be on Switch.

Re: Editorial: In Praise of the Smaller New Nintendo 3DS - The Best 3DS*

Zoda_Fett

I remember watching the reveal of both systems and I never got the XL models of 3DS's. I either just had the handheld prior to XL or just didn't wanna bother with it because it just didn't appeal to me. When I saw the reveal for both I automatically was more drawn to the smaller one because of visual appeal and cover plates and buttons. I wanted that and it crushed me when I heard it wasn't coming to North America. I know if they made this available I wouldnt hesitate to buy it(I didn't wanna buy animal crossing home designer one for whatever reason and wasn't fast enough to buy the Pokémon anniversary one). I'm not upset tho, considering the best designed in the 3DS family is coming out in two weeks. Got my pre order in, and just ordered some glass proctectors and a micro SD for it.

Re: Here's the Map Rotation and Weapons for the Splatoon 2 Splatfest World Premiere

Zoda_Fett

@Zebetite it wasn't really a complaint more of a statement. "What would you do with the app over 4 hours?" that was a really dumb question my friend. I would obviously check it out to see how comparable it's with the game. I would also use it for voice, etc. I mean honestly there's plenty of things one could do with said app, common use your head. As for waiting I can wait, however it would make sense to get a feel for it.

Re: Here's the Map Rotation and Weapons for the Splatoon 2 Splatfest World Premiere

Zoda_Fett

@Shellcore @TeslaChippie agreed, I'm honestly sick of hearing "slow news day" on each article on days that're obviously not the most active.

Anyways I'm super excited about tomorrow, you best believe I'll be constantly refreshing at 5:58 tomorrow!! Think imma start with roller then transition into duels. TBH I feel like Nintendo really missed a great opportunity to test out the SplatNet2 tomorrow. I mean wouldn't it be beneficial for everyone? We can finally use this app and see what it's about while Nintendo gets feedback and could nip bugs right away before actual launch... but that would make too much sense sigh
TEAM ICE CREAM!!!!

Re: Video: MercurySteam, Metroid: Samus Returns and the Prototypes That Were Rejected

Zoda_Fett

Honestly I'm so excited for this! Other M sucked so badly, and that was so long ago. I love 2D metroids and og metroid 2 was great. I am also very excited to see what they do with prime 4, my guess and hope is that it'll never an "open air"(as Nintendo calls it) metroid. Honestly it just makes sense with all the possibilities. The last article that talked about it really made me more hyped I can't wait. Metroid is getting a proper revival for the anniversary (:

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Pokémon Direct and Its Big Reveals?

Zoda_Fett

That direct was straight cheeks. No, I'm not just saying that because I wanted D&P remakes. I don't see why Pokken port needs that much attention considering that was main focus. Was sort of salty for the Ultra SM reveal considering that game just got annouced and now we're getting some most likely full priced expansion for it. Oh well hopefully E3 will announce detective pikachu, D&P remakes, or something else unexpected.

Re: Deals: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For June And July

Zoda_Fett

imo, cave story is the best game coming out this month.. I'm biased because that's my favorite game ever but if you haven't played it yet(idk how you haven't!) you should certainly pick that up on launch. It's an excellent game. However if you've played the Cave Story 3D on 3DS you should still get + it has loads of more content.

Re: Nicalis Teases a Binding of Isaac amiibo

Zoda_Fett

@Gorlokk couldn't agree more and ya beat me to it. Cave story, being my favorite game, would be perfect for an amiibo. So many things can be used for that game(exclusive weapon(s), a boss to go with it, a mode, etc.

Re: Cave Story+ Launches on the Switch on 20th June

Zoda_Fett

"No doubt a tempting offer to be sure, but the real question is: does it justify picking this game up again?"
Heck yeah! This is my favorite game of all time and any platform I have I will get it on to support my favorite Devs.

Also to those who're complaining about the insanely reasonable price I have no idea what pricing you want. $30 is actually low considering the amount of content and heart put into this game. Also considering this will probably have achievements. It will have curly's story, and what wasn't mention is a remastered soundtrack. But to each their own.
