Open world games should not be so concerned with spoilers, as there should be a bountiful amount of content to remain undiscovered like breath of the wild
It's sad that many developers really are not (a) prioritizing a 100 million+ install base (b) want to double dip down the line or (c) do not prioritize releasing optimized games for launch on other systems but do so for the switch only because they have to
The problem is that EA’s biggest revenue sources are licensed properties (fifa and madden) so they could suffer a serious windfall at any time and these licensing deals over inflate their value in terms of IP. I think a buyout would be smaller than 38 billion as the article suggests.
Is nintendolife infringing, since nintendo is in the name of it? It could be misleading as to whether this is an official or sponsored site of Nintendo. Why does the sister site call itself push square instead of playstationlife or pslife?
Nate got the gba leak wrong though ... although it is debatable whether he even made n64 and gba predictions instead of just speculation in that prior podcast
It will be interesting to see whether Nintendo just stops pre-loading altogether, reduces a preload to 1 day before, or actually allows refunds after a preload 7 days out ...
It’s likely they wanted to put online as its focus first, which the switch is a portable device for about half of the user base and offline. Switch support may always come later, as usual for many third party games. Putting Xbox and PlayStation as the first platforms makes me think they are targeting an older audience than the switch, despite the cartoony art style and characters.
I think removing the dislike total from public view was the wrong decision, they should keep the dislike total viewable but make it so you can view who disliked it so that it means more and will keep people from downvoting without meaning it
I think it may remain a handheld, but whether it has detachable joycons or is backwards compatible is questionable ... this may not even come to pass for another 4 or 5 years anyway should Nintendo release a 4k Switch in 2023
This does not mean it is coming to the switch online, it could be that they want to do a 25th anniversary re-release in 2022 or put it on a N64 classic
Please note in this article that a member of a family plan cannot upgrade unless they were the original member that bought it, because I get the error “This cannot be purchased because someone in your family group has an active family membership” … so poorly designed
This guy gets it, graphics do not make great games. Gameplay does and he clearly sees the right sacrifices to make in order to get a game on switch. I'm really tired of the hardware purists that keep calling for a switch pro too.
I wonder if the slow down was caused by the OLED launch, as people waited to buy it ... or if PS5 finally got restocked enough this month (before eventually being sold out everywhere again)
It is interesting that they won't show they game when they are talking about these upgrades, especially after the delisting. If they are coming out in a month and a half, they need to show gameplay ...

Re: Back Page: After Spending $70B On Activision Blizzard... What If Microsoft Buys Nintendo Next?
