Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé has acknowledged the 2006 Japan-only Game Boy Advance exclusive Mother 3 a few times over the past week, and today just so happens to be the third entry's 15th anniversary.

Yes, it's now been 15 long years since this cult classic RPG arrived in Japan. Although Nintendo allegedly cancelled the game's localisation due to controversial aspects, a group of committed fans went as far as releasing their own translation.

To celebrate Mother 3's anniversary milestone, Hobonichi - the company established by EarthBound/Mother creator Shigesato Itoi - shared some special artwork on social media.
