@Kiz3000 currently there is no next generation of consoles - it just isn’t gonna happen with the current memory prices

They won’t care about GTA6. Those sorts of games don’t even register with them.

Unlike Sony you could just buy the physical game and try it - if not for you it’s cost you like 15 quid !

@Luffymcduck yes literally both donkey Kong bonanza and star fox cost me a £5 to complete - and there are plenty of good secondhand deals for switch games around.

Nintendo for over 100 years has been a physical company right from the early days of making cards so i don’t think even for the next switch they will drop physical media

I have never already been interested in splatoon before but after the Direct, it’s definitely something of interest. Probably buy it on cartridge so I can re-resell it if it doesn’t gel with me but currently it will be a day one purchase

@Bizzyb the world ? Why do Nintendo need to justify an $80 price for a game that gives tens or hundreds of hours of entertainment? In the UK, this is roughly the price of me taking my wife and kids to seeing a new movie.

@larryisaman to be honest I remember how expensive snes cartridges and N64 cartridges were as I am old so 40 quid doesn’t seem a lot to me… especially when round here fish and chips for lunch is 20 quid !

@Nep-Nep-Freak you do know Nintendo are not forcing you to buy this game at gunpoint don’t you ? And it’s cheap as chips digitally ? I suppose some people are never happy.

For the last three years, I have got mine off Ebay for around 10 quid a year all in with the same supplier each year and absolutely no problems so an absolute bargain

Nintendo have never stuck the ending so well. And for me, it was a far better game than Odyssey

Hugely niche product with niche sales to reflect that - I am not disparaging it just saying the deck isn't mass market and neither will this be plus if its over 500 quid forget it.

I paid 55 for a game that has given me over 50 hours enjoyment and counting so no issue with another 20 if I get another load of fun..they’re not holding a gun to your head forcing you to buy this and if you don’t have the game already second hand carts are like 35 quid which are a bargain.

Any business can charge what they like - this is incredibly good value of true but then I paid 55 quid for Bonanza and I thought that was incredibly good value for the 40 hours. I got out of it and I remember paying almost £100 for a street fighter 2 cartridge a long time ago so pretty much everything seems cheap these days. Please do remember people out there you do not have to buy these games ! They are not threatening you with a gun.

No art can be reduced just down to technicality which sometimes I find their videos to be. From a technical point of view some of the best films and music in the world are lo-fi so I think sometimes they can’t see the wood for the trees. They are always entertaining though. !

@kingbk yes I totally agree. It’s like comparing a 4x4 and a sports car as they are both cars ! Digital foundry in my opinion in the last year have gone very downhill.

@Anti-Matter In the mass of carts released you would be pretty lucky to get one that has been ripped.....Pretty much a non-issue for 99.99999% of the 100 million switch owners....

So they cross reviewed them even though they couldn’t use performance mode in handheld on the switch 2 - seems a bit weak especially as that’s half of the review as well ?

@GrailUK yes they lost all credibility for me when they had that built-in advert into one of their videos a few months ago.. and they have had to backtrack on a few of their early claims as other YouTubers have pointed out some inconsistencies

I think for any new to the system switch2 owners breath of the wild and tears will be Evergreen sellers along with Odyssey

@TwinFami they nailed it buddy - it’s going to be the biggest selling consoling all time - and if the battery life worries you that much just get a battery pack

Well, all first party Nintendo games will be on the cartridge so really those games won’t count for very much except for any updates

If you don’t get excited by the new features what’s the point of buying it?

I am going to be very happy playing through breath of the wild again… I have never really cared too much from Mario kart but I’m sure all you Fans will be in your element !
