Re: "Don't Let Nintendo Ruin The Entire Industry" - Is $80 For Mario Kart World A Bridge Too Far?

Yoshi3

I always knew TotK was bad news. It just enabled them.

This and Welcome Tour having a cost are just examples as to why Nintendo being at the top is always bad news, they lose touch and forget to read the room.

I’m up for hacking my S2 at this point when that becomes available.

The world is in a messed up situation right now to be spending amounts based on greediness. As time goes on rent, bills, food, insurance become a heavier burden in our lives, and I will not support Nintendo enabling another weight on my favorite hobby.

It’s not just the $80… for the full S2 experience you’ll have to buy:
-the console,
-the camera,
-the monthly sub,
-at least another set of joycons,
-a pro-controller,
-new MicroSd Express cards,
-generational upgrades,
-amiibos,
-stuff like a case, screen protectors, portable charger, etc
-DLCs
and now $80 games.

Now add the taxes and the rising prices in international markets because all the fear mongering caused by the US tariffs and then you start to understand why people are getting mad at Nintendo .

Re: Video: Metroid Prime 4 Looks Great, But Here's Why The Latest Trailer Isn't Switch 2 Footage

Yoshi3

@Dee123 while technically right, you’re not 100% right… Metroid has left its niche status a while ago.

Metroid Dead - 3.09 million
Pikmin 4 - 3.49 million

And the difference in sales could be argued that at least Pikmin had its first 3 games on the console before its release, so Pikmin was in the zeitgeist at the moment, while Metroid Dread came out of nowhere and still achieved almost the same numbers.

@ScalenePowers DISASTER was one of the best Wii games. I can’t believe they decided not to bring it to America just because the game criticized the US president 🙄🙄.
Anyway, the gameplay and the setting and themes were awesome and I don’t think there’s ever been a game like it in 20 years…
They should remake that one next

Re: Build Your Own Skell With This Xenoblade Chronicles X Model Kit

Yoshi3

@ouroborous it doesn’t have decals and if you want it to look like the photos yeah you have to paint it… HOWEVER…. the pieces come in 4 colors … so you don’t actually have to paint anything for it to look really nice and just like in the game. I hate the painting part and everyday that I look at it I forget you actually “need” to paint it

Re: Poll: What's The Best Xenoblade Game? Rate Your Favourite For Our Upcoming Ranking

All of them are solid 9-10s .... one of the few franchises in which every single game is a gem.

X is really special and there's nothing like it.
1 great story, voice acting, characters, world... everything is top notch (cant believe this game was Japan only for a time and the IP wouldn't have flourished without that fan movement to bring it to the West all those years ago)
Future Connected ... it was fun to revisit 1 and see all your favorite characters again.
2 great game, world and characters, but the story isn't the best one
Torna ... same as 2
3 amazing game, everything like 1 is top notch.
Future Redeemed .... such a great ending.

Re: Nintendo "Establishing Ways To Respond" To U.S. Tariffs, Says Furukawa

Yoshi3

@KingMike that’s not how it works. Yeah it takes $5 to make, but you have to take into account all kinds of expenses, marketing, production, salaries, maintenance of the production hardware, transportation, etc that raises the cost. I mean, probably not up to $100… but you catch my drift and I get what you mean.

Re: Poll: Is It Finally Time For Castlevania To Rise Again?

Yoshi3

I never understood why Lords of Shadow was controversial. Having played all the games in the series they were absolutely the next step for the games and their lore, mechanics, design, story, gameplay, enemy design, Metroidvania progression and everything were top notch. It’s not a popular opinion but the first one was in the top 3 (aside from SotN and IV)

And I hope they continue down that 3D design road.

But first they should make another compilation with the 3D missing games (64, Legacy of Darkness, Lament of Innocence, Curse of Darkness … and as a bonus Adventure Rebirth)
Then just give us the LoS Trilogy. 🥺

@N00BiSH I played the Virtual Boy one just recently (hacked my 3DS to install the emulator in all its 3D glory) … it was quite good actually… not the best (maybe because I didn’t play it in its era) and the third one was a bit too much but such a great game. I think 2 stroke the balance with its simplicity. But let’s add another one to the conversation…. Shake Dimension could be the best one.
