Hahaha that is cute … meanwhile I can already see game prices in LATAM also breaking the suggested retail prince …… but being already around the $100 mark ….
I always knew TotK was bad news. It just enabled them.
This and Welcome Tour having a cost are just examples as to why Nintendo being at the top is always bad news, they lose touch and forget to read the room.
I’m up for hacking my S2 at this point when that becomes available.
The world is in a messed up situation right now to be spending amounts based on greediness. As time goes on rent, bills, food, insurance become a heavier burden in our lives, and I will not support Nintendo enabling another weight on my favorite hobby.
It’s not just the $80… for the full S2 experience you’ll have to buy:
-the console,
-the camera,
-the monthly sub,
-at least another set of joycons,
-a pro-controller,
-new MicroSd Express cards,
-generational upgrades,
-amiibos,
-stuff like a case, screen protectors, portable charger, etc
-DLCs
and now $80 games.
Now add the taxes and the rising prices in international markets because all the fear mongering caused by the US tariffs and then you start to understand why people are getting mad at Nintendo .
Yes... the early reactions for Snow White were saying it was the best Disney adaptation... LMAAAAO. Early reactions don't mean sht these days.... its just people being invited to an event who will talk good about the product to be invited to the next event.... repeat ad nauseum.
@Dee123 while technically right, you’re not 100% right… Metroid has left its niche status a while ago.
Metroid Dead - 3.09 million
Pikmin 4 - 3.49 million
And the difference in sales could be argued that at least Pikmin had its first 3 games on the console before its release, so Pikmin was in the zeitgeist at the moment, while Metroid Dread came out of nowhere and still achieved almost the same numbers.
@Wisestfool cmon... F-Zero 99 tbh isn't even a new installment.
That would be like saying Mario 35 was a new Mario game.
They are just fun curiosities with recycled assets.
We'll see if we can even consider it a main game when its servers shut down and nobody can play the damn thing .
10/10 for me. The only thing I’m disappointed with is that they didn’t fix the cars thing. It breaks the immersion for me. But it’s a minor gripe as with the WiiU version. One of my favorite Xenoblade games
Lol… imagine requiring two consoles for just one feature (and one that would be irrelevant at that point). All the people who would sell their previous Switch would be left out.
It’s 100% false.
Also we’ve gotten ports for almost all WiiU games … so it’s a useless feature
Put the pack points in a pool for all packs, you cowards!!
No one is going to open enough single-set packs to get to the 1,250 pts cards each time.
It worked for Genetic Apex because we had 3 sets in the same pool.
These points are such a waste
@ScalenePowers DISASTER was one of the best Wii games. I can’t believe they decided not to bring it to America just because the game criticized the US president 🙄🙄. Anyway, the gameplay and the setting and themes were awesome and I don’t think there’s ever been a game like it in 20 years… They should remake that one next
@ouroborous it doesn’t have decals and if you want it to look like the photos yeah you have to paint it… HOWEVER…. the pieces come in 4 colors … so you don’t actually have to paint anything for it to look really nice and just like in the game. I hate the painting part and everyday that I look at it I forget you actually “need” to paint it
I bought it two years ago from China… it’s an amazing and well built Skell… gonna put it next to the art book in front of me when I start playing the game next week so I am really feeling it
@Dom_31 exactly as BotW and TotK. It’s the open world syndrome. The story takes a backseat and becomes meh. However, XCX is better than the newer Zelda’s just because you can experience the story in order… unlike BotW and TotK
All of them are solid 9-10s .... one of the few franchises in which every single game is a gem.
X is really special and there's nothing like it.
1 great story, voice acting, characters, world... everything is top notch (cant believe this game was Japan only for a time and the IP wouldn't have flourished without that fan movement to bring it to the West all those years ago)
Future Connected ... it was fun to revisit 1 and see all your favorite characters again.
2 great game, world and characters, but the story isn't the best one
Torna ... same as 2
3 amazing game, everything like 1 is top notch.
Future Redeemed .... such a great ending.
This looks great… it gave me the feelings and memories of walking into the arcades and watching intros like that before putting a quarter in. I’m interested
The only censorship related to Monolith that you guys should be screaming about is the one about not releasing Disaster: Day of Crisis in America. Such a great Wii gem that I’d love a remaster for that one.
I’ve been gaming since the NES days… but somehow this game left a really good and special mark in my gaming memories. It’s that special. Can’t wait to play it again and finally see the end to the story.
@KingMike that’s not how it works. Yeah it takes $5 to make, but you have to take into account all kinds of expenses, marketing, production, salaries, maintenance of the production hardware, transportation, etc that raises the cost. I mean, probably not up to $100… but you catch my drift and I get what you mean.
I mean… this is why they are separate apps instead of standalone games. The emulators were obvious that would move to the next generation. That was the main reason they handled it like that.
I never understood why Lords of Shadow was controversial. Having played all the games in the series they were absolutely the next step for the games and their lore, mechanics, design, story, gameplay, enemy design, Metroidvania progression and everything were top notch. It’s not a popular opinion but the first one was in the top 3 (aside from SotN and IV)
And I hope they continue down that 3D design road.
But first they should make another compilation with the 3D missing games (64, Legacy of Darkness, Lament of Innocence, Curse of Darkness … and as a bonus Adventure Rebirth)
Then just give us the LoS Trilogy. 🥺
@N00BiSH I played the Virtual Boy one just recently (hacked my 3DS to install the emulator in all its 3D glory) … it was quite good actually… not the best (maybe because I didn’t play it in its era) and the third one was a bit too much but such a great game. I think 2 stroke the balance with its simplicity. But let’s add another one to the conversation…. Shake Dimension could be the best one.

It’s great that it’s more expressive… but that could have been done with the old design too.
Tbh I don’t like it, but the game looks fun.

it’s crazy they didn’t even make it free and included in the console
Re: Sakurai's 'Kirby Air Riders' Is Speeding Onto Switch 2

But Im intrigued
Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Confirmed For Nintendo Switch 2
Ugh ANOTHER Warriors game set in the BotW style of Zelda AGAIN.
This is the fourth Zelda game with this style. Im sick of it.
And Hyrule Warriors becomes repetitive after 3 hours.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Direct: Time, Where To Watch, What To Expect
Hopefully there are no franchises transformed to open world games. That trend is a genre killer.

I've been crying for almost 25 years, speculating as to why can't the world have an F-Zero GX sequel.
Japon is a great and different track with that Shamisen playing
And wow... the Rainbow Road remix is amazing!

One of my favorite Xenoblade games

Re: Poll: What Switch Game Could You Not Live Without?
Isn't it a bit of a bias putting images of games on the cover? I mean, it makes people think about those games first.
Anyways ... Smash Bros for me.
Zelda this generation was a complete let down.

Hiroyuki Sawano always with the amazing music. Yeah the very same one of Attack on Titan fame.
