First of all, I like completing a game. I actually do. It presses a certain button in my brain that makes me feel good. But still, there are games I do not finish, some of which are awesome and some are not. The best of the former is Death Stranding. It's so lovingly weird, it's beautiful, it's well executed, its very immersive - playing it did feel magical to me. It's also long and repetitive, where it, to me, got past the point when I don't want to spend anymore time on. But I do not regret any second spent with it, I cherish it.
I think it's likely we will have an upgrade this year. It's getting harder and harder to port games to Switch, and that process is already not easy. And like it or not, switch cannot live on exclusive alone (we do have some top notch exclusives, yes, itanjisy not enough to keep the momentum imho)
Other than the games listed I also enjoyed Aokana recently. Quite lighthearted, but it's partly about sport (fictional sport - FC, mind you), and those sports match scenes are executed really well, even though by VN nature they are quite static they did feel dynamic to me and always had me in suspension on what would happen next
@Dang69 Its very different when it comes to tone. AI Somnium Files is much more serious. And you don't exactly have open world here (in Dangnronpa you could go anywhere you unlocked). That being said I do love both games and both are great in their own way
@Trickbaby14 That's what movies are But honestly, im 35 years of age, with really cool job and great family, which are all awesome, but leave me with under 1h a game for gaming, and i also love gaming, and i love experiencing stories in games, so i'd rather play on easy and skip the nightmare difficulty challenges than get stuck with 1 game for a year
@FangerZero Yes and no. In my case my kids are so young that i refuse to play with them around and play during my commute, on switch and then 1h in the evening - sometimes not at all, sometimes bit more. During the day i'd rather play with them instead. It's all my choice
@ritouf I feel the opposite when it comes to combat, but hey, both are really great games (even though i have yet to finish XC1, but im close to the end i think)!
@GAMER1984dude2 indeed, I have xc2 one and it's my fav gamepad ever! I would buy another themed controller gladly, but neither smash nor s platoon are within my interest. I see this as a failure to grasp the market not to make more of those! Also there are ni themed joycons in sale. I think those would sell quite nicely too!
@BarefootBowser Sure, Switch does have an amazing library and is a great console. That's why, when given a choice, I am buying games for this platform. Persona 5, however, has been in my sights for a long time and I'd really love to play it. Now, since I am a father of two young children I have very limited gaming time (mostly on commute and around 1h in the evenings), so I'm holding off Persona 5 for PS4 hoping it will come to Switch eventually, since it is a long game, it'd take me a year to finish it on PS4 at home. Now, i'm just using my ability to voice my discontent with the situation that it is PS exclusive (i dont cry because of that, I continue my life happily as I have so far) hoping that maybe it does reach a publisher eventually and they reconsider making a port. If no one ever mentions it then it is less likely to happen
@tobsesta99 sure, rating system is good, still, there are situations like recent devil may cry, which is undoubtly full of violence, yet nudity was censored.
@BarefootBowser well, I say that if a society feels its wrong to show skin, which is perfectly natural, and it's not even boobs, no actual +18 stuff, but violence or strong language is perfectly fine, then I will tell you there is something wrong with values of a society and it is a major problem whether you admit it or not
Looks good. I will never udnerstand, however, why there are so few variations of official Pro Controller and no themed joy-cons. I see such a wasted potential here. I have XC2 pro controller and it's the best gamepad I have ever had!
@WaxxyOne indeed, mouse is better, but it's impossible to mount mouse on a pad, a stick however is easy to mount on a pad, so with what it is now, game pads are optimal for consoles, while keyboard and mouse have both superior and inferior qualities in comparison
I used to consider Deus Ex (the original) the best game ever for many, many years. It's place was becoming more and re and more solid due to nostalgia kicking in. However Nier: Automata became my favorite after I played it last year. It's just that amazing
@Joker13z yes, most of the Europe shares the so called western culture. Which has originated from Europe. And USA is west to Europe, while Japan is east to Europe. Hence the naming convention
@Ventilator I can survive few hours of Oculus, so I believe I am 3D compatibile, but Labo VR makes me nauseaus. But still, if I were younger, I could probably take it better.
While LABO VR was a cool gimmick, I would think twice, or even thrice, before buying this, unless there's some performance upgrade incoming. Playing BOTW for few minutes with LABO made me wonder when will I see my most recent meal again...
I think we all need to learn not to expect Ps4/XBone grpahics from Switch games - the system is technically inferior to those consoles and it's a fact. I do not mind, however. Switch has so many gems right now (FE3H, BOTW, XC2 to name a few) and that proves that the graphics are not a barrier for a good game. Sure, Astral Chain does not look as good as, let's say, Horizon Zero Dawn, but it does look really good, and especially after Nier Automata, Platinum games have earned enough of my trust to want to try this.

Re: Talking Point: Is Zelda An RPG, Or Not?
No, and it does not need to be rpg to be awesome

Re: A 'Pro' Switch With More Power Might Not Even Be Fully Utilised, Says Industry Veteran
Faulty reasoning. Because of new 3ds case, which had games not backwards compatible
Re: Abzu Is Just $1.99 On The Switch eShop, That's 90% Off
T'was free on epic recently, but then again, might cave in and get it for switch too!

I do not understand why won't nintendo release more official pro controller variants. Or joycon variants for that matter...

While the treasure box edition looks rad, the game is still a letdown to me, simply because it is not Persona 5

@PapaPedro I live in Poland (which neighbours Germany) and shipping is also £17 (or 20 Euros). That's surprising in the most negative way D:
