Remember Ryza from Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout? She caused quite a stir a while back thanks to her ample thighs and is soon to star in a direct sequel to that game. She's also getting immortalised as a life-size statue that is sure to fit elegantly into any home. Ahem.
Gust has revealed that it is working on producing said statues, although it still isn't 100% sure there's a market for them – which strikes us as rather silly; who doesn't want a life-sized statue of this unstoppably spunky protagonist in their living room, right?
Gust is keeping expectations low, however. It has stated that all it needs is 10 pre-orders by August 30th to put the statues into production. The cost? A cool $25,000.

Better not be made of standard PVC for that price.
Not the worst way to spend $25,000 if you have it to splash around. Expensive but pretty cool.
Love how there is a closeup of her thighs.
@Mqblank They know their market well.
If you have 25 grand to sink on something like this, I question the very world we live in.
That thigh gap picture got me giggling hahaha. They know their audience.
“Realistically proportioned”? As in true to the design of the character or realistic as in how they would look if they were a real person?
Thinking about the people that would be interested in this - gross
@CowCatcher Okay. I wasn't going to but since you asked so nicely.
Not gonna lie this would be cool to see in person. Not something that I'd ever spend that kind of money on though.
This is so creepy.
If I had the kind of money I could spend 25,000 on this I would just pay an attractive woman to dress as her and pose in the corner of my game room for my amusement.
Pretty normal price for that size, 1:1 size figs are rare, often Japan only (even for ordering) and above that you need to "win" the chance to even buy this.
Really a Japan only thing (really japan only for japanese, not for import outside of it)
(I stick to my 1/7 to 1/4 scales, much cheaper...)
EDIT: I just started to read it again and I guess I know where the problem lays with some comments, here I go.
"Realistically-proportioned" is not meant in a sexual way (because I bet some people think that way) but compared to the character in game, in other words "Realistically-proportioned" = same size like she is in the game = 161cm height.
@getyourak explain why? It is a figure, like any other type of scale figure you could buy minus the fact this one won't fit in a glass cabinet.
By your logic I am gross because I collect anime figs and by same logic a friend of mine collecting anime figs and DC Universe statues is also gross.
In other words think about how much sense your comment even makes...
@CowCatcher in the second game she is 20
It all comes down to priorities and how much money you have on your bank account. Personally I have "winning the lottery" higher on my priority list. I'll think about this kind of purchase when (wishful thinking) it happens
Figurines have come a long way. How many people out there are already contemplating the necessity of having two kidneys?
@nessisonett it’s products like this that make lottery winners hobos.
Is it weird I find that price relatively low for the product being offered? Not that I have that kind of dosh just lying around. Licensed 1:1 scale figures used to be more in the ballpark of $50,000 to $100,000.
For a mere tenth of that price I'll give you some advice on how to not spend that money on something completely useless.
I have the thighs. None of the rest of my body is in proportion to her though, lol
If I had this kind of money lying around, and maybe if this was a character I actually cared about, I might have thought about it. But heck if I'm gonna pay this kind of money for a big plastic waifu.
I struggle to justify giving up smaller amounts of money and space for figures....so this is a definite no.
Only 25 large? What a bargain!
@Cevil Pics or it didn’t happen.
@LillianC14 At the risk of sounding like a creeper, don't forget: thicc thighs save lives. 🤣
Unfortunately my wallet it not as plump as those pins. And if it were I could buy $25000’s worth of ripe Gorgonzola and make a giant cheesy Luigi out of it.
@CowCatcher Excuse me? I can’t hear you from all the way up on that horse.
@coleman83 Beat me to it- I was thinking the same exact thing.
@coleman83 at least the statue wont smack you or nag you to death.
Is this game good fun if you're into JRPGs? I'm quite tempted to pick it up given it's on sale at the moment...
oh the possibilities
For that much money rather sculp my own, even though I've never sculpted anything that big but it would really be a nice project, lol.
I also hate her shoes, thigh high sandals ?! 🤮🤮🤮, I'll change em on a redesign , if it ever happens lol =XD
i see a lot of bi*ches whining in the comment section
pathetic
I can just see someone that buys this stuff and has several statues in their house.
I didn’t see an article on it here, but FYI: the Ryza 2 US website went up the other day and there’s a new trailer.
The game's great. Ryza is a neat character design and fun to look at. The statue looks very well made, probably worth every penny to its target audience...of which I am not. But like others, I'd love to see it in person, perhaps at some toy fair or something.
Unlimited Possibilities ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
................Is she soft? owo
I feel like everyday where getting closer and closer to the world of archer... I'm sure you can wash her vengia in the sink as well. This article should be better suited towards playasia then a nintendo product.
@CowCatcher she's clearly, obviously not a child. Get over yourself, nobody cares about your virtue signaling nonsense.
We're talking some seriously, SERIOUSLY thick.. profit margins.
take my money forget body pillow I want a full girl baby.
Oh hell yeah life sized Thighza
@coleman83 true that.
@CowCatcher that shot at her thighs says different. (Yes i know she is 17)
You know, I get that she's super cute, I think so to - but Atlier Ryza was honestly a really fun game with VERY LITTLE actual fan service.
A degenerate's dream.
Well, this silly little American has to pay off over $30,000 of student debt before I can even think of dropping $25,000 on a statue like this, as much as I would love one.
As it is, it took me long enough to pay off the Definitive Edition of the True Form Midna statue from First4Figures.
And even then, no credit card that I have is anywhere near the limit of $25,000. I would just hope they offer installments if they want that much money.
Drop in the bucket for Mr bezos.
I just got this on eShop thanks to the sale, but I find out there’s a sequel on the way? Good news.
And good luck to whoever’s will to drop $25K for that merchandise.
I hear there are a lot of single, lonely men in Japan...
Atelier ryza 3: the 25k and the realsize waifu
@CowCatcher Hey, 16 and older is legal here, so I'm fine with that.
Not everyone is poor like us.
@RiasGremory I feel if you have normalised violent abuse then you should seek the advice of others on growing your self-esteem.
