Another week, another dollar. Err, yes — that's how that saying goes. Various things happened this week in the world of Nintendo, but by far the biggest story was definitely the lovely Felix joining our lovely video team.
What's that? Oh yes, there was also the matter of Nintendo's announcement of its closure schedule for the 3DS and Wii U eShops, with an estimated 1000+ games to be removed from sale. We spoke to a source who believes a full network shutdown for those consoles could come soon after, and we set about reminiscing and compiling lists of our favourite 3DS eShop and Wii U eShop games to pick up before it's too late. If you love video games and Nintendo, it's been a week of mixed emotions.
After all of that excitement it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

I'll be giving the MLB The Show 22 Tech Test some time on Switch for a write-up, even if my initial impressions (as a series veteran and addict) aren't particularly positive. Beyond that I'm still enjoying my time in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, making decent progress last week; I'm eager to leap forward again with a session or two this weekend.
Beyond those I'm making very slow progress through The Witcher 3 (on Switch, a very decent port!), while indulging in yet another playthrough of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, because I'm a nerd and its lightsaber fighting is just too much fun.

This weekend, I absolutely definitely do not intend to just play Horizon Forbidden West the entire time... making that commitment to myself now so I follow through on it. I will definitely be continuing to play Pokémon Legends: Arceus and EarthBound. I'll also be spending time with family, which always calls for a few rounds of Overcooked, Mario Party Superstars and Mario Kart 8!

This weekend I will mostly be playing Graveyard Keeper, which I picked up during the latest sale. It's scratching that "I need to farm something" itch until Rune Factory 5 lands, even if it's maybe one of the sparsest tutorials I've ever seen.
I'm also hoping to jump into my 3DS library, and maybe give neglected games a go — I have Crimson Shroud, but never actually 'opened' it; I have Grezzo's Ever Oasis too, but didn't really get on with it as much as I hoped. And, obviously, I've got a few more to download before March 2023...

Time to wrap up The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and SoulCalibur II on GameCube. I’m quite happy with the overall performance of Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection so I will continue to slowly make progress on those three. Hope to fire up the new Triangle Strategy demo as well.
Game of the week is Infernax. It began to give me The Messenger vibes from the get go and it just kept on getting better. Glorious pixelated gore galore!
Ollie Reynolds, reviewer
So, look… I may have purchased and downloaded a few 3DS games this week. I panicked, okay?! I'm not done yet either, but for now I'll be playing The Attack of the Friday Monsters, Kid Tripp, and Super Mario Land this weekend. Although it's a result of some pretty horrific news from Nintendo, it's so nice to be playing the 3DS again.
Elsewhere, I'm going through The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Switch ahead of the release of Majora's Mask, and having an absolute blast with it, too! It's just a darn good game, isn't it?
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

I'll probably end up finishing off Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden tonight. Having a good time with it.
Also been playing a fair bit of Touhou Spell Bubble online and some The Binding of Isaac: Repentance runs on the side.
Pokémon Arceus where really i just wander around catch most Pokémon I see then running for my life as I realise I am unprepared for whatever alpha I’ve found. And Earthbound, which I am enjoy sososo much, first time played an earthbound game and I am loving it
Trying the Nintendo Switch Sports Online Play Test & replaying WarioWare GIT after months of not playing it
Revisiting FE: Three Houses as I feel like doing some tactical combat. I still love how you can zoom in and roam around the detailed battlefields, seeing all characters up close.
Then some pokemon catching in Arceus. It's feeling as relaxing as wandering around my ACNH island - until getting chased around by an alpha!
I played PS4 games in the morning. 😗
1. Megaman 11
2. LEGO CITY UNDERCOVER
3. My Universe: School Teacher
I continued playing Switch games in the afternoon.
1. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
2. Animal Crossing New Horizons
This weekend is all about Horizon Forbidden West (PS5), and I'm loving it so far. I'm still working through Dying Light 2 (Xbox series X) with a friend, so I'll play that whenever we both have time to do so. Maybe some Pokémon Arceus as well.
Happy gaming, and have a great weekend, everyone!
I finally have gotten into Skyward Sword and am obsessing over it! Currently I am at the first Imprisoned fight and am looking forward to what's next. I am on team BotW was a disappointment, the strength of the dungeons and lovable side characters in this game has only strengthened that resolve.
After beating The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles: Resolve last weekend (a fantastic game that had an epic story connecting most of the cases over 2 whole games), I took the whole workweek off from gaming. I was a bit burnt out after playing such long games this year. So today I'm going to boot up Tony Hawk's Pro Skater or Spyro 1 from the Reignited Trilogy (or possibly both). I want something to take me back to those PS1 days, and they seem like good choices since I already know their quality (as long as the ports of these remakes hold up well).
Trying out that Triangle Strategy demo but man does that game flap it’s gums. Definitely not good for portable play
Beat the E-reader levels in mario 3 last night.
The rest of the weekend i'll be playing cyberpunk and Cruuuuuuuuuisiiiiiiiiiin Blast
Assassin's creed ezio collection for the switch.
Ezio the suicidal
Ezio doesn't behave the way he's supposed to during certain jumps, he does what he wants instead. I had one, jump from a ledge to a pole, where Ezio decided to jump to the ground instead of to the pole and that resulted to he's death.
Still yet to beat Pokemon Shining Pearl
Playing Stardew Valley while waiting for Forbidden West to arrive
Spreading myself too thin… I’m about 85% through Halo Infinite, 65% through Bayonetta and two chapters into Fire Emblem, the first GBA release. I’d like to finish one this weekend. It won’t be Fire Emblem!
I’m really getting into Shadowman now. Loving the upgraded visuals and sound. I’ll continue Dusk. Yesterday I got the Castlevania Advance collection on discount price so will playing as well.
I'll be taking a swing (heh) at the Switch Sports beta there today. Really excited to see what it plays like, even if they candyflossed the Miis.
Apart from that, I might try and either beat Banjo Kazooie, start Earthbound or finally begin The Great Ace Attorney (I've had it since August and I still haven't played it yet. I need to fix that).
I'll be continuing Atelier Ryza 2, which I'm about 60 hours into.
Going to try to get some Ring Fit Adventure time in, first time since I hurt my back so we'll see how that goes.
I'll probably have a go at R-Type Final 2. I just saw the credits roll the other day, but with 3 continues and playing on Kids difficulty, so there is plenty of room for improvement.
Might dip into Raiden IV Mikado Remix which I just bought.
I’m usually more disciplined but alongside Caligula 2 and Pokemon Legends Arceus the Xenoblade 3 announcement has made me want to finally start on Xenoblade 2, so that might take over for now. I picked up the Torna DLC in the sale, so I need to play both before September.
I finished Pokemon Legends Arceus' postgame (or at least as much of it as I'm willing to do, I caught every Pokemon and did every request), so I'm hoping to get back to Skyward Sword HD on the Switch this weekend. I'm also going to try out the Switch Sports beta!
I'm on to Kirby and the Amazing Mirror in terms of Kirby games, so I'll be playing that. I'm debating firing up one of the Fire Emblem Virtual Console games on Wii U as well; I have all three but haven't played any of them yet, so they would be fun to give a go! .hack//Infection's another game I should return to soon.
Working my way through Assassins creed the ezio collection on Nintendo switch 😘
I'm working a lot this weekend but when I get the chance I'll be on Pokemon Legends Arceus. Managed about 30 hours last week, which is good going for me.
Nor that I'll contribute to that strain yet - a lot of my 3DS wishlist items are in the 3000 RUB ballpark and haven't seen sales for ages.😅 I certainly hope to invest in a few over the spring, but chances are my boldest 3DS spendings will have to be in summer and on winter holidays. But my 3DS itself will definitely see some strain on the other fronts instead - from the usual suspects like Spirit of Justice, Endless Frontier and Fire Emblem Echoes to potential advances in other playthroughs like LCU prequel, Etrian Odyssey and SMT Strange Journey. And would you believe I still haven't started Ever Oasis? Truly, nothing is sacred anymore.🙀
And then, of course, there's the usual Switchfest. Xenoblades (the first game has finally seen me set foot on Valak Mountain - mere 90 hours in!😅), Borderlands, Saints Row 3 and Bioshock 2, Rogue Legacy and Vostok Inc, the earlier mentioned RemiLore, DerQ and Fuga, Puzzle Quest and Mechstermination Force, potentially more Akiba's Trip, Pillars of Eternity and/or Dragon Quest Builders. Vita might well elbow in, too - with more usual suspects like SotN, Eternia, God Eater, Blue Reflection etc. You know how I plan.😏
I've been reorganising my room, and at some point ended up sitting playing the original WarioWare on a surprisingly still-charged GBAsp for about an hour.. oops!!
Just finished Owlboy, really enjoyed it, about to start The Mummy Demastered.
A bit of Animal Crossing in between.
Playing bravely default on the 3ds and mass effect 3 legendary edition on the XSX.
No PlayStation or switch this weekend.
Batman Telltale Season 1 on xbox1
Borderlands 3 on ps4
Metroid Dread on switch
I bought pokemon crystal but am waiting for my time off when I'll be playing it on the train.
Gone back to a couple of older games. I finally caved and ordered MK8 deluxe a couple of weeks ago (just before the dlc announcement by coincidence) - been on the fence since it was released as I have it on wii u, but really enjoying playing it again, and having it on switch makes it easier to pick up and play.
Also decided to play minecraft - it has seen countless hours of play on various consoles in my house due to the kids, but I’ve only ever dabbled. Not sure if I’ll lose interest again this time but I’ve been playing for probably 10 hours or so over the last week and I’m enjoying the freedom, creativity and exploration.
Finished off Legends Arceus a few days ago so back to Xbox this weekend, probably returning back to Shadow of the Tomb Raider. If I play Switch it'll probably be MK8 Deluxe, the DLC announced in the Direct got me back to being excited about the game.
I'll be having my arse handed to me for the umpteenth time by yaldabaoth on xenoblade chronicles no doubt
This week I will be mostly playing
Majora’s Mask 3D
It's a no brianer, HFW all the way this weekend, though I may start my second play through of fire emblem three houses, still bummed I didn't make a seperate save just before the major choices
I’m playing the ‘find out what’s worth to get before it gets lost like tears in the rain’ game that Nintendo bestowed upon me this weekend.
I’m open for any suggestions
Amiga games - Speedball 2, God's, Turrican and probably Lotus Esprit. Damn, would love an Amiga collection on Switch
Not 3DS or Wii U
Dual Destinies, honestly the most lackluster entry. They seemed to have dialed the references and modern lingo up the wazoo, the side characters ignore all logic to be their dumb little exaggerated character, counted more than 20 typos so far, and Blackquill suuuuucks.
Having a great time tho, Apollo x Junie really cute.
I picked up RE4 in the sale and playing on my Switch Lite. I had the game at launch on GameCube and great to play again on a hand held, been a long time since I played through the whole game.
@Duncanballs at least there is the Turrican collection, more Amiga on modern platforms would be great.
Xenoblade chronicles 2. I need to shelve everything else and focus on it.
Playing Tingle's Freshly Picked Rosy Rupeeland on my 3DS, I managed to buy a pristine copy for £50 and I'm quite happy about that. It's a great and extremely unique game and one that Nintendo absolutely won't ever rerelease, so grab it before it's worth thousands.
My Girlfriend is a Mermaid and Serious Sam 3
@BenAV Then on to Miracle Snack Shop 😁
If I get time from helping my daughter build her Lego sets and making cheese sandwiches, it’ll be The Messenger on Switch and Doom Eternal on PS4 Pro.
@JustMonika No
Switch sports test beta, plus some Pokemon and Animal crossing, might also dust of Mario Kart deluxe and get back into the swing of things before the first DLC drops.
Just finished Shin Megami Tensei IV on the 3DS and loved it.
I'll play Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse now.
As for this weekend, my oldest is turning six so I'm not sure how much gaming I'll get in. Having said that, I am hoping to play some more Pokémon Legends: Arceus, for at least a little bit.
Playing Earthbound on nso. About halfway through the game now. It's awesome!
Horizon Forbidden West Pokèmon Legends Arceus New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe and probably some Forza Horizon 4 if I'm in the mood for it.
I'm really enjoying the Nintendo Switch Sports play test so I'll continue to play the other sessions of it. I also need to finish the Triangle Strategy Demo.
I WAS going to play games like Fortnite and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but I just got the flu for my 3 day weekend🥲
After finishing Hyrule Warriors (definitive edition) last night, I'm going to enjoy some more Pokemon Legends which I'm head over heels for.
Mid-way thru Super Mario World (the bestest Mario) on my treasured New 3ds XL-BBQ 3.0.
Just finished my play through of Tokyo Mirage Sessions on Switch, so I’ll be going back to New Super Mario U and Octopath Traveler this weekend.
I'm trying to continue playing Indivisible but man this game really isn't doing it for me. I initially bought it because I thought the combat was cool and I loved the art style but nothing is really grabbing me.
Other than that I am on chapter 4 of fossil fighters and I am really enjoying that game! I'm still surprised I haven't heard of it until recently.
Alongside that I decided I would do a 100% completion playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country. So far, I am having an absolute blast. I forgot how funny some of the post battle conversations are in this one 😂.
I will play the game "Solve tasks so you can pass your C# exam tomorrow".
Very tedious game but it has to be done!
KOTOR on Switch and a big serving of Horizon Forbidden West on the PS5. Happy gaming all and for all those in the UK, hope you survived Storm Eunice!!
I finished the Triangle Strategy demo last weekend. I haven’t really played this genre, so I don’t know what to expect in terms of how much story and exploration is between battles, but I agree with @NinChocolate that it felt like too much at the beginning. The amount between the 2nd and 3rd battles felt okay. I think my play time was at 6h so maybe I was being slow at it too. I hope reviews give me a good sense for how this is in the full game so I can decide if I should get it or not.
I am also curious if Fire Emblem Awakening and Three Houses have this much in between battles or not because I have considered those games before but never played FE.
Sorry Switch, it's going to be all Horizon Forbidden West for a while.
I also finished Luigi’s Mansion 3 with my son last weekend. Such a great game with good co-op. It has me tempted to pick up Dark Moon and the 2018 re-release of Luigi’s Mansion on the 3DS. However it does seem like they may not be all that different, but just earlier iterations of the same thing but with no co op (for 2) or co op but not designed for co op (for the remake of 1). Also true co op requires two copies for the remake of 1 and the cheapest they go for is $40 each.
I also finished Minish Cap which I ended up enjoying.
I think I will finish Metroid Fusion this weekend.
I also tried out Pushmo based on the 3DS list NL published and it is pretty neat. I may play some more of that. I am not sure if I will pick up all the sequels or not. I do enjoy going back to the 3DS. It is such a fun system and the system that got me back into gaming (but didn’t get one until 2018).
Oh and I picked up Affordable Space Adventures, so I will see if my kids want to play that!
This really isn't anything to do with the looming e-shop closing, because I bought them physical, but Etrian Odyssey Nexus and Radiant Historia on 3DS. And I finally got my Wii U repaired, so I'm jumping back into some of those games.
I picked up Wario Land, Wario Land 2, Super Mario Land, Super Mario Bros., and Super Mario Bros. 2 on the 3DS. Next month, I’ll complete my 3DS wishlist (which I’ve had for a couple years now) and buy Kirby’s Adventure, A Link to the Past, Donkey Kong Country (one of my favorite games ever…I already own 2 and 3), Tails Adventure, Mario Golf GBC, and Pocket Card Jockey. And of course, I’ll still be making headway in DQ XI. Cheers!
Well... I wanted to play Super Danganronpa 2, but I still can't do this, and still don't have money on card. So, I decided to try and play School Mode. I like it. But it's difficulty and resource management... It's hard for me. I'm on 21st day, if I don't confuse. I'm hope that I'll will be able to finish it in single playthrough, without New Game+. That's all what I've played on this week.
I'm in chapter V in trials of mana. Going to finish up smaking the benevodons around. Then I have about 36 games in my back log. I think sonic colors is next.
I'll be playing Xcom 2, well actually, Xcom is playing me but I AM trying! And ofc Switch Sports. Loving bowling and tennis. Chambara is not for me tho. Oh oops I can't talk about that sorry!
Me and My Wife: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Me: SNK VS CAPCOM Card Fighters Clash: i just have 144/300 cards, only one "S Card" (Mech Zangief). I think it´ll be another 200 hours game! yessssssssssssss
Still trying to “catch them All” in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Currently sitting at 162 & with Elden Ring around the corner I’ve got to hurry it up slightly
After 30 years, I’m finally playing Earthbound and obsessed. Top five all time games for me. I’m near the end and so sad the adventure will be over.
It’s a busy weekend so gaming time will probably be limited, but I hope to squeeze in more Spelunky (continue trying to unlock shortcut to the 4th stage - it’s really a challenge!) and we’ll probably buy more time for Joysound Karaoke for Switch when my sis visits tonight.
Or maybe I can get a game of Affordable Space Adventures going, with this long farewell to the Wii U underway. 🥺
As has been the case since it came out, I am exclusively playing Pokémon Legends Arceus. One more monster left until I've caught them all! Then begins the arduous task of getting all the research levels up to 10. After that, shiny hunting commences.
Yoshi‘s Woolly World and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze on Wii U.
Go8ng to finish a ocarina 3D. Only got the shadow and spirit temple left. Then I am getting started on majora 3D. With some switch sports mixed in.
Still haven't done a Golden Deer route in Fire Emblem Three Houses. Lorenz might have a tragic accident early in the campaign.
We have over a year, why would there be strain? And why the flurry of articles? I guess that’s cool, even though they’ll all need to be repeated next year… helpful to make sure everyone gets their games downloaded.
Playing through Earthbound and No Man's Sky: Sentinels update.
Skyward Sword HD, Cruis'n Blast!, Lego Worlds, Cooking Tycoon 3 in 1, Maddening Euphoria, Namco Museum Arcade Pac, PGA Tour 2K21, Colorfall
I started Affordable Space Adventures with the kids. We all love it! Definitely pick it up if you have a Wii U and don’t have this game!
@Friendly Pushmo is the series that God would play.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that Another World (or Out of this World) was on the eShop! There is a lot of history with that one and I'm excited to try it!
I'm playing Contra Rogue Corps now. Yes, it's a shamelessly overpriced bad contra game. It's a PS2 looking game that looks dated on a Game Boy from the retro future year of 2017. But it is fun as just that, a twin stick shooter with a gattling gun wearing panda cyborg, lots of upgrading and leveling, and was at 95% off. Next week I may start the equally not amazing looking but much slower top down alien shooter at an incredible sale, XCOM 2.
Been really enjoying my time with DYING LIGHT: PLATINUM EDITION, really good port and just a great game. Also really enjoying OLLI OLLI WORLD…it’s an awesome game, very addictive and oozes style. Other than that, going to enjoy watching my son do his 1st play through of Zelda Skyward Sword!
As always will be enjoying time with the fam and indulging in great food.
Strains on deck: Red Congo, Pink Death Star and some Gelato 33!
Have a great weekend!
HaPpY GaMiNg!!!
Fresh playthrough of Majora's Mask 3D for me. Vastly superior to the original releasing on Nintendo online. I actually own the game and Nintendo can't rip the rug from under that fact at some point like they can do with the Netflix type subscription plan they are currently adopting.
I'v also almost finished a playthrough of Ocarina of Time on Wii, have done the three heart challenge already so am trying to do a playthrough with zero deaths now. Speaking of the original Ocarina of Time it is so much harder that the great 3DS remake. The bow is much harder to use, plus many other quality of life improvements in the 3DS version. The 3DS version is definitely superior and once you beat the game you unlock Master Quest plus it has the boss rush mode. I've done the gauntlet in boss rush on both the regular game and Master Quest.
I'm glad the 3DS is getting some attention at the moment. It's my favourite of all time. Games I want to download before the eshop closes include both Dragon Quest games, Bravely Default, Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Final Fantasy Explorers. I'm not a rpg guy but I've heard so many good things about the above. Which is more accessible for a newcomer from the rpgs I've mentioned?
Flint Hook - for my roguelite needs.
Mr Maker 3D - 3 dollar impulse buy. Probably not worth 3 dollars even but mildly entertaining.
Bloodstained Ritual of the Night - decided to grab this off my backlog.
Taking a break from Arceus - still haven't beaten the main story but I spent a very long time wandering around pelting wild animals with a variety of thrown objects.
@BenAV Are you still convinced that Touhou Spell Bubble is worth 54 dollars? Like, sure, it's fun but does it deliver that much?
Well Nintendo Switch Sports Online Play Test off course.
I will probably put some more time in Assassins Creed II. Really love playing that one on Switch.
I plan to finish the second campaign in Crossfire X this weekend. Other than that, I'm hoping to make a start on Pokken Tournament - since I'm so up to date.
Probably continue playing Infernax later after I go for a little hike, too much snow right now for cycling.
Grinding PLA......and grinding Time Distortions....trying to get more to levelup plygon...
I finally finished Grandia I from the Grandia HD Collection on Switch last weekend. Gonna take a break from the series before coming back to play Grandia II from it. I have so much in my backlog that I can attend to and so much of it other RPGs still.
So I'm likely going to finish Metroid Dread and then finally get a chance to experience Earthbound now that it's on Switch!
Not much gaming for me this holiday weekend; I'm off sightseeing on a mini vacation! I'm sneaking in some Pokemon Go here and there, and I've started playing through Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time (DS) during some downtime and in transit.
Happy gaming!
Nintendo Switch Sports is my main thing this weekend. I've played about an hour of it and love it! Way better than the choppy The Show tech demo. Just give us Konami's awesome Powerful Pro Baseball. It's so fun and so responsive with it's 60fps batting.
Also, still playing tons of Arceus. I just got Aviary or whatever so I can fly/glide. I can't believe how few shinies I've seen, but it's such a fun game regardless.
Also Rocket League, Thunder Dragon 2, and Pokemon Puzzle League on 3DS.
Still playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons and that won't change ever since it's still the best game to ever be made in the world also playing Dragon Ball Z Kakarot and Xenoverse 2
Playing Monster Hunter stories (the first one on 3ds) and smash with friends
3D Classics Xevious on 3DS.
Zoo Tycoon Friends (Windows Store) - There doesn't seem to be a workaround for this like there was on the phone, rendering this unplayable now...
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Dailies and Challenge packs again.
Ridiculous Marathon (Windows Phone) - Playing here and there.
Since it's going to become playable in 3 hours...Puzzle and Dragons Switch Edition.
Trying to get back and finishing Xenoblade X (SO MANY SIDEQUESTS). Its still fun, even if the font size hurts my brain.
@Edwirichuu Worth it so much that I've bought it twice. Originally went with a physical copy but I found myself returning to it frequently enough that I wanted it digital for the convenience. I had 100+ hours in it before they even added online multiplayer.
Earthbound and Mother 3
I started playing NES Remix on my Wii U for old times' sake. I had forgotten how much fun it is! And Super Animal Royale as well. It is silly addictive shooting.
Kula World & Bugs Bunny & Taz: Time Busters
I finally finished Bravely Default II last weekend and got the true ending! I played it for around 65 hours and had an absolute blast. The next entry is definitely a day one purchase for me whenever it comes out.
Now that I finished the main game I've been playing, it's time to dive back into my backlog for the next few weeks, before Triangle Strategy takes over. So I wanna get back to Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, where I left off in the middle of case 4. I'd also love to play some more Blue Reflection: Second Light, which I'm on chapter 2 of.
I ended up spending most of my day playing Earthbound on NSO. What a phenomenal game, even 25 years later it could easily be released today and it would be equally well received, if not better, because games are just too cookie cutter these days and Earthbound is something really special and different.
@FishyS I'm having trouble getting past the first boss in Bloodstained. Any tips? 😭
@JustMonika I just started and haven't played before so the first boss killed me a couple times too. It's such a chill game until that boss. 😆 I'm sure there are walkthroughs but I mostly made sure I had my best items equipped and a weapon I actually like (unlike the annoying slow long sword) and jumped around like a maniac to avoid tentacles and such 😝 And I gave in and ate a health item mid battle. I found the hardest part in that battle seeing what was background vs foreground/what could actually touch you.
I have been playing some Final Fantasy 12 on Nintendo Switch, and I have also had a blast with the test periods for Nintendo Switch Ports so it has been an instant preorder for me. I cannot wait to play it in August.
I dipped back intro Bomberman R Online for a bit and am brushing up my Rocket League skills (they've eroded a bit). Then it's on to the Triangle Strategy demo finally.
I finished Arceus last week, and I'm kind of glad that it's done. Despite being really impressed with the refinements to the mechanics and all the streamlining, by the last few hours the terrible world graphics were really starting to be a bit of a downer. I also found the variety of Pokemon to be much more lacking that I'd have hoped.
Overall though it's a good game and a huge step in the right direction for the series. I just hope that there's a step up in the quality of the world next time around. They've pretty much got the character models spot on bar some oddly low resolution costume textures.
My main Nintendo game will be Persona Q2 which has been great so far (about 6 hours in). Besides that like many I'll be playing Horizon Forbidden West.
No poll this weekend? I am playing Old school Runescape, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Microsoft Flight Simulator this weekend
Picked up Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in the sale, haven’t touched it in about 5-6 years, forgot how stunning it is. Only £30 with left over points. Also tried out the Metroid Dread demo, very slick. Also tried picking up Skyward Sword HD where I left off but felt very rusty. I haven’t played any games since November…
No Switch games this weekend. I’ve been playing Horizon Forbidden West on PS5.
I played it 7 hours straight after I got off work yesterday. I’d say I’m pretty cracked out.
Just playing Horizon Forbidden West on PS5.
But i did just recently start up Pokémon Legends Arceus as on Switch.
Given the recent news on WiiU and 3DS, i really really wanna go back and play some of my 3DS backlog. LOVE that portable system.
@Rpg-lover that’s what I’m playing too. I was hesitant to buy another AC on Switch because, I know people liked 3, but I just didn’t on Switch. But 2 is amazing. I feel like I’m back in 2009 playing it on Xbox, it’s great.
