So, this is Christmas. And what have you done?
Well, not a great deal to be honest — as is typical at this time of year, it's quiet out there in the world of video games as everyone settles down for a well-earned holiday break.
We're into the very final stretch of 2021, but a few things have been occurring nonetheless. Not content with winning every video game award ever, Supergiant's Hades has now taken to picking up Hugo Awards, too. Elsewhere, Japan continues to get incredible gaming swag we'll never see in the West, and Metacritic's 'worst' game of 2021 surprises precisely nobody. It's not really fair on poor old Balan — there were far worse games to play this year. Then again, 'worst cross-platform game that had a relatively high profile and was widely reviewed of 2021' doesn't have the same ring, does it?.
Now, though, it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

This weekend I'll be making my customary annual pilgrimage to Freezeezy Peak — I would have liked to have done so on Switch, but Banjo-Kazooie won't be coming to Nintendo Switch Online until January. Guh-huh, indeed.
Beyond that, I'll likely pick up some final collectibles with Samus in Metroid Dread and I'd love to get really stuck into Death's Door, a relatively late arrival in 2021 that I just haven't been able to put much time into. It's largely my own fault (I've been knee-deep in that most festive of games, Blasphemous), but a wrong I hope to put right over the holidays.

We're having an overdue family get-together on Christmas Day, which will be awesome. I suspect the Switch will be a go-to as we battle to digest a hefty lunch, and the old favourites will probably be dusted off; yep, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Party. Outside of the big day I'll probably jump into The Sinking City that I got on sale, and I'm still enjoying The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.
Elsewhere (I don't want to play the Cloud version) my main Christmas game this year will be Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy; I've heard good things about it!

I am still trapped in Canada for the foreseeable future, but I will be hanging out with my partner's family this Christmas. And you know what that means: Low-key multiplayer games! I think I will attempt to teach everyone Mario Party Superstars, but realistically I should probably keep it a bit simpler. Maybe Oink Games' new release will go down well?
What I'm really looking forward to, though, is having some free time to catch up on games. I'm going to give Paper Mario a go, and finish Unpacking, and Ni No Kuni, and Eastward, and Islanders... the holiday is starting to feels bit more like work, now!
Jon Cartwright, video producer
Happy festivities everyone! I've already booted up Christmas NiGHTS, I'm ahead of the curve. I'm using the end of the year to catch up on a bunch of 2021 games that passed me by — I've kept fairly up to date with Nintendo but didn't give Neo The World Ends With You the chance it deserved. Bought it day one to support the cause but it's only lived a life on my shelf so far, very eager to finally give it a go.
Also planning to play through NieR Replicant, I chose Pokémon Snap over it back in April and haven't found the time to give it a proper spotlight. Automata was non stop cheer so I'm sure this will get me in the Christmas spirit, too. If somehow it turns out to not be a jolly cheerful game I also have Kena: Bridge of Spirits to check out, it reminds me a ton of Star Fox Adventures but without Trippy (probably a good thing).

Hello and Merry Christmas to you all. This festive season, in between nicking lots of my children’s sweets and strenuously denying that I am behind the mysterious disappearance of 80% of the pâté in my house, I’m going to be getting properly stuck into Shin Megami Tensei V. I picked this one up a few weeks back, played a bit and loved it, but have been struggling to find the time to continue my adventure, something the holiday season should hopefully remedy.
Besides that I’ll be doing my usual Xmas rewind back through some older titles, with Link’s Awakening and Bayonetta 2 looking likely candidates so far. Oh, and there’ll definitely be some Just Dance 2022 happening, gotta work those turkey sandwiches off somehow.

Hello! It’s going to be a bit of a quiet one this weekend in terms of gaming for me, what with it being Christmas ‘n’ all. The family and I will no doubt be diving into some Jackbox Party Packs as we head into the evening, in a rather desperate attempt to ward off the encroaching drowsiness that creeps in once ol’ Queenie has done her speech.
Other than that, I’m still working my way through Danganronpa (big surprise), so if I can find some time to knock out a couple of hours, then I might actually be able to move onto the third and final game in the core trilogy. Have a great weekend everyone, whether you celebrate Christmas or not!

“From deep within the longs halls of Dwarrowdelf something stirred and a faith red aura began to distinguish itself from the inescapable darkness of Moria. ‘...Santa!?’ - Pippin mused only to be immediately scolded by the Grey Wizard - ‘A Balrog of Morgoth, you fool!’”
Last year I was well over halfway into The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age on GameCube and being a creature of habits these holidays will be spend revising Aragorn’s Quest on the Wii. I reckon this game has been quietly and unjustly forgotten, so an overdue revisit is my top choice to spend this festive weekend. It is a great way to sooth the spirit between hardcore sessions of Geometry Wars Galaxies as well.
Hope all you readers out there have an excellent holiday (and no Balrogs down your chimney).
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

I just finished Danganronpa 2 before Xmas and I had tons of options to choose from my backlog and ultimately Shadow Hearts: Covenant is what I went with, around 8 or so hours in and so far it seems like an improvement compared to the original Shadow Hearts.
Hollow knight and nothing but.
im playing nine parchments its cheap and it have online multiplayer and lots of people playing it as we speak
Replaying Owlboy. Just got to the snow area which is fitting
SWITCH
WarioWare: Get it Together - going to try some of this with the family today!
L.A. Noire - gonna start this up later tonight! Heard it's pretty good.
PC
Nothing on PC today.
Have a great Christmas everyone!
My copy of Danganronpa Decadence arrived earlier this week so I’m in the middle of playing through the first game at the moment, having a great time. Also been playing a lot of The Binding of Isaac: Repentance and a little Touhou Spell Bubble and Groove Coaster.
My friend came over yesterday and bought me Diablo 2: Resurrected as he really wanted me to play it with him but I couldn’t create an account due to the website being broken and couldn’t even get past the title screen without one so that’s the first Switch game I’ve scored a 1/10, haha.
I'll be playing Assassin's Creed Roque , Metroid Dread and Paper Mario!
Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄
I’m trying to get the two spirits I’m still missing on Smash but they just don’t pop up. Getting a little angry tbh
I just beat the elite four on Pokemon Red (Blue is my go to, and was the version I had as a kid) where I glitched a legit Mew so I'm proud of that file.
Was debating one of the discounted games on 3ds but nothing jumped out at me so I just started a new file on Ocarina 3D. I'v run out of ideas of what special runs I should do. I've done master quest and 3 heart challenge (even on the original on Wii, I can tell you so many differences between the original and remake).
https://www.fovmag.com/ocarina-of-time-original-vs-remake-which-is-better/
Here's my opinion on the original vs remake if anyone is interested.
It comes down to what servers break if any. For Switch it's back to MH Rise and Bravely Default II and for Xbox it's Halo Infinite multiplayer.
So far both Xbox Live and Nintendo Network are working fine though it's very early in the day for some parts of the world so too early to say it'll stay fine.
As someone typically celebrating Christmas a fortnight later, I don't have family dinners scheduled for the weekend, so it'll be a feast on the holiday splurge instead. Switch eShop was unsurprisingly the main target, and the resulting haul led me to begrudgingly wipe a long unprecedented bunch of installed games from my backlog's workbench, including the bigger stuff like Mary Skelter dilogy and NFS Hot Pursuit... all of them ongoing playthroughs as well, so hopefully not for too long. Pillars of Eternity alone is a brontosaur, but I still made room to keep it and a half-the-size but still mammothish Titan Quest on board at least for a while; Saints Row 4 and Jump Force, on the other hand, will likely get shelved after today, especially since I'm still neck-deep in SR3. The storage juggling may really leave some new recruits untouched for the time being (like Urban Trial Tricky, Torchlight 3 or Arcane Arts Academy), but there's a bunch you can damn BET I'll be sampling now and quite likely indulging for the visible future alongside the usual backlog spotlights - Akiba's Trip, Torchlight 2, No More Heroes, Songbird Symphony, La-Mulana (although seeing a game like this take 2.4 Gb was a bit of a curveball😳😅), Gato Roboto, Away, Ys Origin... and, of course, Ender Lilies which became my estimated 888th Switch item. Heck, even my 3DS library has hit 120 items to the sound of my wallet's hair-raising wails, completing the Parascientific Escape trilogy as well as pulling the trigger on Persona Q and Stella Glow even though their discounts expire a good while later.
My laptop has also seen an investment, counterintuitive as many may deem it in the period of numerous Epic/GOG giveaways and such. Princess Maker Refine has yet to hit consoles (since PS2?) at all, so its prospects on Switch remain rather unclear (at least we have the third one and a board game crossover), but the machine's performance and a couple reassuring videos from similar hardware have also compelled me to get Dishonored 2 - you hear that, Bethesda? We aren't talking new games here, so if this purchase doesn't bring the series here with trollish promptness, I don't know what wi- oh snap, I didn't buy Death of the Outsider on Steam yet. Welp, no Dishonored on Switch then, I guess.😭😆
Merry Christmas everyone! I got Shin Megami Tensei V and WarioWare: Get It Together for Christmas! I see Final Fantasy VIII on sale as well so I might pick that one up as well. Before I start any of those though, I'm on the final chapter of Ys IX so I'm hoping to finish it soon!
Still working on Maitetsu: Pure Station after 5 weeks but also been playing Persona 5 Strikers since I got it from my girlfriend for Christmas.
@Aispen Wish it was snowing here instead of being 75 to 80 degrees, lol
Scrabble, Monopoly, Boggle.
Board games.. Family.. Xmas!!
I played these games. 🤓
1. The Sims Bustin' Out PS2
2. Custom Battler Bomberman NDS
I still managed to finish the missions at Club Rubb for The Sims Bustin' Out.
I have unlocked Area G for Custom Battler Bomberman. Area G was really hard... 😑
This week I will be mostly playing
Pokémon Black 2
Playing some Ambassador GBA titles on 3DS
I’ve begun Ys IX and Bioshock( got all 3 on sale for £16). I’ll play some Mario party superstars as well.
Played just enough Shining Pearl yesterday so I can trade with my brother tomorrow. Other than that no gaming for me.
I think I'm gonna have to dive in to Shin Megami Tensei V. I'm pretty sure the Fall of Man edition is wrapped up under my tree. That, or it's a giant bottle of liquor.
I successfully beat my first Pokemon Nuzlocke (in Shining Pearl)! Will probably just play Smash with friends and family
I don't have many multiplayer games suitable for my holiday family visit, so maybe Big Brain Academy and Super Mario 3D World. Plus I want to show my mother Tetris Effect because she loves classic tetris.
I must have made the nice list, as Santa brought me Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, as well as Maneater, so I'll be playing those over the weekend. Outside of that, I started a replay of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening earlier in the week (got the Sea Lily’s Bell, last time I played), so I'm sure I'll play more of that as well at some point.
Bravely Default. Don’t really understand a lot of what this game is saying to me systems-wise. Something about rebuilding with street pass? What? I just don’t have a brain for modern RPGs I suppose. But I like the art.
I'm playing Sonic Adventure 2, since there is a huge Steam Stale that's 75% off all Sonic Games I got to pick up the Sonic All Star Racing games and Adventure games.
I'm finally finished 1st chapter in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. It was hard for me, because of class trial's mini-games. Making manga and rhythm mini-game was hard for me. Those mini-games pissed me off. Well... I can say, that I still like Sayaka and she's one of my favorite characters. So... Also, I'm beated Arcade Mode in Guilty Gear XX ΛCore Plus R playing as Axl Low. I'm beated I-No without losing a rounds. That's all what I've played this week. Merry Christmas everyone.
My kids are likely to take over the Switch for some multiplayer games tonight, so I'll most likely be crocheting or playing Civ VI on my laptop. When I do have the Switch, it'll be SMT V and Slay the Spire.
I picked up Mario Tennis Aces on sale last week so I'll check that out. Also Metroid Dead and Bloodstained on ps4 and xbox. I'm playing on both since I can't commit to a platform!
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory.
IT'S 50% OFF RIGHT NOW
I have been all over the map the past few weeks with the amazing eShop sales that have been happening. I hope I get MK8DLX (as I have yet to upgrade from WiiU... And I got my Switch at launch!) because I have been craving it lately. On PS4/5 front the new GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY game was my favorite E3 title and I really want BIOMUTANT. So, hopefully some of those. If not, then I will probably buy DEATHS DOOR while it's on sale and have a go. Happy Holidays my Nintendo Life family!
I just got The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Cruisin' Blast and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 for my Christmas gifts. I think I'll play Cruisin Blast first, since itll be the quickest thing to get into during this busy holiday, and I really want to embrace the craziness. I also picked up Florence and Sine Mora EX on the eshop sale with the gold coins I redeemed from my Christmas gifts. I'm pretty sure I'll also play Florence in a day or two since it's so short.
Playing the perfect christmas game. Spider-man miles morales. (It’s heavily themed around Christmas and set during Xmas)
Besides that probably guardians of the galaxy, xenoblade chronicles definitive edition and forza horizon 5.
Got SMT V as a gift, but I'll play it after I'm done cooking/eating the Christmas meal.
Have a good weekend and happy holidays everyone.
Metroid Dread. Got it today.
New Pokémon Snap, ForzaHorizon5 and maybe some Hitman3?
Well, I WAS going to play some VR games on what would have been my brand-new Oculus Quest 2, which I bought a few days ago with the wealth of prepaid Visa gift cards from my employer (I work in a gift card fulfillment company, and they give employees gift cards as gifts and bonuses during the holidays).
But sadly, I noticed that, right out of the box, the right lens had a huge scratch running almost the entire length of the lens and several smaller (but still noticeable) scratches around the edges of the lens. Obviously a manufacturer's defect that got past quality control.
I brought it back to the store I bought it from last night to exchange it for a new unit, but because they didn't have any more in stock, I have to wait a whole week for them to ship one to the store. I plan to open it up there in sight of customer service and inspect the unit for any other damage or defects.
So while not exactly a "Christmas is ruined" moment, I am, needless to say, not happy about this turn of events. I've wanted one of these things for years, and when I finally managed to get one, it's defective. Just my luck.
Guess I'll just have to stick with Genshin Impact for today and the next week. Maybe get in some Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Skyward Sword HD, and Age of Calamity while I'm at it.
Just picked up Cthulhu Saves Christmas for 2 bucks. Playing that (and enjoying the hell out of it) and some Animal Crossing as well. Happy Festivus for the rest of us everyone!
My friend got me one of the last 3 copies of Blue Reflection II in the country so that's what I'm playing now, but I also got WarioWare Get It Together which I am enjoying a lot more than I expected, No More Heroes III and Sonic Colors Ultimate.
Aragorn's Quest was a good game, I wish I played it more back in the day. I'm going to go through Mario Party Superstars with the kids, my dad got it for them, and probably for me as well hehehe. And going to continue with Saints Row IV, it's a very fun game indeed. Merry Xmas to all!
I decided to buy steamworld dig last night so that for sure. Already played about an hour. If I get a little more free time I'll be playing more of xenoblade chronicles 2. I'm about 12 hours in and I'm liking it. Not as much as XC1 though. Depending on how these gifts Pan out later, maybe ill get some eshop credit and grab one of the 2700 games on sale.
Oh, and I bought radiant historia for the 3ds on sale for a 10 spot. But not sure if I'll dive in just yet.
I hope you aren't playing anything today! You should be with family and friends! Come on...put that controller down addict!
Alestse Collection on the Switch! Later on, Fight Crab!
If I can go to the mall, I'll probably get Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain and WarioWare: Get It Together!, both are within my budget. Will see if I can include Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.
Unfortunately, because I'm going on trips and I have to be back by January 3rd, I might not be able to fully enjoy them.
First of all, Happy Christmas all!! Going to play ACNH later and MK8 online, finishing with Mario Golf Switch online.
Comfort food games and Christmas movies. ACNH, MK8, Brilliant Diamond, Mario Galaxy, and Ocarina of Time / Paper Mario. Recently started The Last Story on Wii U (was itching for a Sakaguchi RPG) and it hooked me with its characters and world design. Will be playing more of that for my long weekend as well.
Merry Christmas and happy gaming everyone.
Super Mario Party with the family yesterday and Fire Emblem Gaiden on the Famicom today 👌
When I played this christmas I played with my kids. Yesterday we checked in for the toy day event in ACNH, today we got some co-op action in LEGO Harry Potter.
Actually managed to organise my backlog and almost to stay away from the sales. I have now a nice list for the start of the new year with games to finish and I'm looking forward to complete it.
Possibly going to start Kitaria Fables, which I got for my birthday but haven't started yet. Also ACNH (as usual)!
I picked up The Danganronpa collection and The House Of Fata Morgana for Christmas - but I’m about 20 hours into Robotic; Notes so I’ll be playing more of that, quite upbeat for a VN, which is good for the holiday period.
Happy Xmas! Not sure I’ll spend much time gaming but if I do I’ll probs continue with FFX and maybe a bit of Hotshot Racing, Enter the Gungeon, Into the Breach or some other pick up and play type game. I’ll probably check out the sales at some point too, although trying not to buy too many games I won’t have time to play.
Oh, and my son got more Mario Lego (Bowser airship) and absolutely loves it. He’s 14 and plays way more video games than Lego but it’s probably his favourite present.
Played Asphalt 9, did some of the Holiday events, and played Sonic Colors Ultimate and Shin Megami Tensei V, got these two for Christmas. Loving both so far.
Probably going to play some other games in addition to these, like World of Tanks Blitz because of their holiday events.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!
Stubbs the Zombie on Switch
I've been playing MK8D a bit lately but I'm going to be playing Torna the Golden Country as well.
Finished most of Halo Infinite Campaign’s collectibles and have moved on to Marvel’s Avengers on Gamepass- a pleasant surprise 2 hours in! That’ll be my final game of 2021. & as always Tetris 99 Happy Holidays Everyone!!
Unfortunately I’m not playing the Switch this weekend. I’m playing Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut on my PS5. And getting a few Fortnite challenges done since I decided to skip Call of Duty and Battlefield entirely this year (Vanguard sucks and 2042 is a broken mess).
I do plan on getting back on the Switch next week. I have a calendar system set up. So I play certain single player games on different days of the week.
@TheRenegade908
I really want to play Halo Infinite.
Unfortunately no Xbox and no PC right now. I had considered getting a Series S this year, but money was tight this winter. Putting off until next year. Maybe we will get a price drop on it if I’m lucky. Or a Gamepass bundle card.
This Christmas, my sister bought a Switch - her first game console ever, pretty much. Meanwhile I have roughly 400 e-shop games on mine. So the only gaming I've done is to give her a whirlwind tour of my personal recommendations. Good times!
Finally home, Christmas festivities concluded happily, and it’s just me and a bunch of games I’ve barely touched lately because of shopping, cooking, etc.
Maybe I’ll finally start Megaton Musashi or Slay the Spire (while making turkey soup from the leftovers tomorrow). Most likely I will crash the minute I hit the couch though! 😅
Wishing everyone a fun and relaxing holiday weekend!
Working through Shadowverse still, and going to play some Olympia Soirée. I need to finish World End Syndrome though. Also maybe some SMT 5.
Also on a non video gaming note. I bought my girlfriend animal crossing monopoly for Christmas so we should be playing that tonight
Bought Cyber Shadow in the Eshop sale this morning, so that should keep me busy the next couple of days. Liking it so far, but nowhere near as good as The Messenger
Oracle of Seasons for the Game Boy Color - a Zelda game I haven't played yet so looking forward to the adventure
@Themagusx1 That reminds me.. I really need to play World End Syndrome.. the limited edition Import cost me $150 after all, lol
@JustMonika it’s good stuff, I think you would enjoy it. It’s got likable characters. I never finished it cause at the time I was playing it my grandmother passed and sort of never went back to it,
Got Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics for Christmas.
Not terribly festive, but I'm quite a ways through Halcyon 6. After that I'm either going to dive into Star Renegades or finally go back and finish the last route in Three Houses
Finally beat Mario + Rabbids so now to complete Dread, Shovel Knight (finally picked it up) and continue my trials in Hades (finally picked it up!). Also some Brain Age, Animal Crossing, Ring Fit and Fitness Boxing. And always some Tetris!
@neogyo You played Mario+Rabbids? I pity you...
(I respect your opinion if you like the Raving Rabbids because I don't want to come off as not having good sportsmanship)
But please don't mention the Rabbids in front of me...
They give me bad memories and whenever somebody brings them up I am filled with nothing but straight-up evvy and bitter hatred towards the Rabbids.
It's quite simple really, I played Rayman Raving Rabbids on my Xbox, hated it and vowed to never touch anything Rabbids-related again.
But if you like the Rabbids, that I cannot stop you from liking, but I gotta stick up for my boy (points to Rayman)
The Rabbids are partly why Ubisoft has gone downhill since 2006/2007 next to Assassin's Creed, Just Dance, and Tom Clancy's The Division and Rainbow Six in addition to Far Cry, let's just say I have a fishbone to pick with Ubisoft...
In addition to having a bone to pick with the Rabbids franchise and the other current cash-cows of Ubisoft...
Because they'll all be the same every year with little to no changes, and my brother once told me people just play AC for the story, if so why don't they encourage more originality and no lazy copy and paste design?
@neogyo I ask everybody here, why do you continue to support Ubisoft and the Rabbids and their other cash-cows, knowing they alongside Ubisoft themselves took Rayman away from us and killed the franchise? Why support the Rabbids when the painful truth IMO is that they're just useless annoying unlikeable troublemaking reckless greedy selfish unkind and cruel little imps who always cause chaos, act cruelly to Rayman and other characters, started the events of Mario+Rabbids in the first place and ruin Mario's world, caused Rayman and Mario lots of grief, yet they never get punished for their actions at the end and get off scot-free? They could have had Mario and co punish the Rabbids by having them get harshly and cruelly punished for the chaos they caused, but no, they're right away forgiven, not to mention IMO the Rabbids are the worst Rayman villains and their motives are lame, they want revenge for being bullied and picked on by the people of Rayman's World back when they were nice creatures, which they plan since Rayman 1's events as they study Rayman's progress, the main issue: What did Rayman and his friends ever do to the Rabbids in the first place? Couldn't they move on with their lives and stop holding petty grudges?
all of these reasons amount to why I don't like the Rabbids in general, I think they're pointless mean spirited jerks who add nothing at all, and their crossover with Mario could have been changed to have Plants Vs Zombies or the Giana Sisters or even them removed and the plot changed to Mario and co ending up in Rayman's world and forcing an alliance with Bowser and the Koopa Troop as they must get ready for the revenge of Mr. Dark and Admiral Razorbeard and Razorwife and the Robo Pirates and Mr. Dark's Armies with Rayman and Friends (Andre, Reflux, The Hoodlums, & Ales Mansay and the Dark Teensies have all died in my headcanon) Why not any of those?
Just Beat: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
Now Playing: Final Fantasy 7 Remake (PS4)
Up Next: Psychonauts 2 (Series X)
@DBTheHumbleSavage Love Sam & Max! I also hate the Rabbids.
@MischiefMaker Cool name and avatar. Loved Mischief Makers!
I got Hollow Knight early November. I'm still playing it. Got a pro controller for Christmas, and I am now using it to try and get 112%. I'm currently at 105%, so it shouldn't take too much longer. Then I'll attempt steel soul mode...
On Switch, I'm at a point where I need a break from Pokemon (80+ hours later), so I decided to jump into Doom 64 since it's a relatively short game and I could use that after pouring so much time into Pokemon. On the digital side of things, I also picked KOTOR back up. I'd guess I'm halfway through right now.
Outside of the Switch, I got Back 4 Blood on Steam earlier, so I'll be playing some of that. This might also be the weekend I finally get back to Silent Hill, too...
This weekend i will play Streetfight V Champion edition with my brothers.
Just bought it for my gaming laptop. Man wish i got it sooner lol.
And also playing Smashbros together.
Sticking with Christmas tradition, I’ll be playing Dark Souls with my Nan
It's Christmas weekend, and I have a bunch of new games to play! From the little I've played of each of them today, they're all really fun and I'm looking forward to diving into them more this weekend.
New Games I'll be Playing This Weekend:
I finally beat Trails of Cold Steel 2 on PS4, so I'm moving on to the third one. Switch-wise, I've been playing Super Smash Bros against visiting family members and was planning on finally beating The Alliance Alive HD.
@Grail_Quest good to see I'm not alone in feeling the Rabbids.... uhh how do I put this in nice words...? Kinda suck as characters and a franchise no offense.
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Daily challenges and puzzle packs as usual.
Bad Piggies (Windows Phone) - Finally at the end of the game.
Tiki Towers (Windows Phone) - Still playing here and there.
I pulled out my Vita to replay Mega Man Legends and Mega Man Legends 2. I also grabbed Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon on Switch. Then UnMetal and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age on sale. Not sure what I'll dive into.
@DBTheHumbleSavage haha what a great break down. You’re definitely not alone. I only played the one on wii back in the day that was multiplayer focuses, can’t remember the name but it was a decent time. But I agree! Really not into the Rabbids. Tho I must say in Kingdom Battle they weren’t tooooo annoying. Really came close, but I had a good enough time!
@neogyo True Neo, but I think I'll suggest to anybody who is a fan of Rayman or Mario here to just skip the entire Rabbids franchise as a whole which IMO just bleeds together with itself, you would not miss anything or miss out on much if you choose to skip right into Rayman Hoodlums Revenge on GBA and the Ubiart Rayman games (Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, and their mobile runner spin-offs Rayman Jungle Run, Fiesta Run, Adventures, & Mini) or Super Mario Odyssey since the events of the entire Rabbids franchise don't contribute to either franchise as a whole and the events shown there are never mentioned or brought up again, and say what you will about whether or not Michel Ancel is innocent (IMO I think he is because all of Ubisoft's employees say they're fond of him and he sounded like he was telling the truth about the so-called "Fake News" as that doesn't sound like him at all" but Rabbids just IMO disrespects and tramples all over the legacy of Michel Ancel as well as Rayman's legacy, as the Rabbids lack all the charm and joy and love and care that Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil have in addition to Tonic Trouble and just is a chore to sit through in general.
