Re: Nintendo: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Is A "Canonical Tale"

TheLastSkyLoftian

It didn't bother me Age of Calamity wasn't canon, I enjoyed the game for what it was. Looking forward to Age of Imprisonment I like some mindless slashing action.

I will say the look of Hyrule in Age of Calamity you could consider canon to BotW it gave us a good look at what the kingdom look like 100 years prior. Hopefully Age of Imprisonment will do the same.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (1st March)

I haven't done one of these in a while. Since last time, I've finished Sonic X Shadow Generations really enjoyed that game one of my favorite Sonic games.

After that I played Super Mario Odyssey for the first time, while I own some Mario games I'm not the biggest Mario fan (there's nothing wrong with Mario I can give or take his games) I enjoyed Mario Odyssey it surprised me in some cases especially the soundtrack. Finished the story and got some extra moons might get the rest some other time. I saw The Super Mario Movie on Netflix I haven't seen yet so I might watch that later in the week.

What I'm playing now, I have got Echoes of Wisdom and Paper Mario TTYD yet to play but I've decided to return to Tears of the Kingdom after a 6 month hiatus to at least get the remaining shrines and beat the story. The other stuff I'll do after I've done all that.

Re: Your 'Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2024' Stats Are Available Now

TheLastSkyLoftian

Played 206 hrs on Switch this year

Played 7 games

Tears of the Kingdom: 134 hrs

Metroid Prime Remaster: 29 hrs

Sonic Frontiers: 18 hrs

My favorite game I picked was Sonic X Shadow Generations. Completed Shadow Generations now on Sonic Generations for the first time. Absolutely excellent game.

TotK is massive so probably continuing that one next year, hopefully complete it too. Played Metroid Prime Remaster in the beginning of the year never played a Prime game before really enjoyed it hoping for a remaster for the other two and looking forward to Beyond too. While I completed the base game for Frontiers last year, I hadn't completed the Final Horizon DLC so completed that over the summer.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Top 5 Nintendo DS Games?

TheLastSkyLoftian

1. Sonic Rush Adventure: Sonic Rush is excellent too but I feel played Adventure more. Both games need to come to modern consoles.

2. Professor Layton and the Lost Future: I only got 3 in the series but Lost Future was my first game in the series. My favorite of the three.

3. Mario Kart DS: One of my most played games on DS.

4. Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story: I haven't got much to say for this one but it's great. Love the the gameplay between Mario and Luigi and Bowser. The story was great and funny.

5. Pokemon Platinum: Even though I was fan of Pokemon in the late 90s this was my first full Pokemon game. I didn't 100% at the time but I did restart it a few years ago and 100%. Really enjoyed it.

I love Revenge of the Sith is on here, sadly I gave mine copy away but I loved that game and played it a lot. I either played the Anakin or Obi Wan stories or playing against the CPUs in the dog fights. Very fun game.

I'm playing Sonic Unleashed on Wii at the moment. I completed the story about a year a bit ago thought I'll try and 100%. I never have since I've had the game, which was 2008. I hope one day the PS/Xbox version gets remastered and comes on the Switch successor, I've never played that version of the game except watching footage on YouTube.

Re: Sonic Team Would "Love" To Remaster The Advance Series, Says Takashi Iizuka

TheLastSkyLoftian

Didn't own a GBA back in the day, so never played them or Sonic Battle. The closest I got to playing the Sonic Advanced games was the Ultimate Flash Sonic game 20 years ago (remember that game). So as a Sonic fan i always wanted to play them, so a Sonic Advanced collection would be great. If they want to throw Sonic Battle in the collection too I'll be alright with that 😉

Like a good few of you, I'm still playing through Tears of the Kingdom and enjoying every second of it but I'm taking a break from it (that game is absolutely massive) So I decided to finish off Sonic Frontiers final dlc.

I finished off the story early this week, now I'm unlocking the map, maxing out Tails, Amy and Knuckles, doing all the conversations and all cyber levels.

While I don't think Frontiers is a masterpiece and it has its faults. I find it very enjoyable game and I have blast playing it.

Re: Random: Requests For Zelda Ports Increase Following BOTW 2 Switch Delay

TheLastSkyLoftian

Nice thought. I'm not sure i would get them day 1 as I've got them on WiiU. Rather have a Zelda game i never played like Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks or any remasters of top down Zelda's. I haven't played them. I've played Links Awakening Switch version and A Link Between Worlds and enjoyed them. So more remakes/remasters of top down Zelda would be nice.

Re: The Game Awards 2021: Where And When To Watch The Game Awards

TheLastSkyLoftian

I'm playing through Metroid Dread at the moment and so far its a excellent game. I hope it wins at least one of its nominations. 1am is a little late for me if it was on earlier then i would've put it on in the background and watch it but i like sleep. So I'll check out the results and any announcements in the morning.

Re: New PEGI Gambling Criteria Means Old Pokémon Games Would Now Be Rated 18+

TheLastSkyLoftian

I was thinking about Super Mario 64 DS when reading your article.
While enjoying the main game i did enjoy the mini games too. The Luigi ones were my favourite. It didn't turn me into a gambler. I haven't played the main game or the mini games in quite a while might need to replay SM64DS again at some point.

I wonder if Zelda will be affected. Some of the mini games in those games could be classed as gambling.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Week? (August 28th)

TheLastSkyLoftian

Still replaying through Pokemon Platinum. Leveling up my Pokemon for the elite four now.

I think most my attention will be on Skyward Sword HD which i got a few days ago. The original was my first Zelda game and I'm 7 hours in and i think its great remaster. SS was already a beautiful game the remaster makes it look even better. Bringing back memories when i first played it. Probably my favourite Zelda game.

Re: Poll: Which Will Be Your Second Console - PS5 Or Xbox Series X?

TheLastSkyLoftian

Switch and PS5. If I had the money I would buy a PS5. PlayStation have more first party games I'm interested in i.e Spiderman, Ratchet and Clank than Xbox. I can buy all the big third party titles like Star Wars ect and any that are on Switch I would buy for PS5. I would keep my Switch for Nintendo's own games and any Switch exclusive games. They would be my dream pair.

Re: A New Doctor Who Game Is Coming To Nintendo Switch

TheLastSkyLoftian

I wonder if this game will have anything to do with the Time Lord Victorious multi media story arc there doing at the end of the year.

I've played a little of the LEGO Dimensions Doctor Who game. It was really good. I really hope they do a full LEGO Doctor Who game one day. I know the people at TT Games are interested in doing one. They just need the BBC to green light it.

Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate Announces A Special Brawl Tournament, Starts This Friday

TheLastSkyLoftian

Brawl was my first Smash game and I have never looked back. Love this series. I remember reading Nintendo Official Magazine, use to love that magazine, and reading all the new updates about the game and as a Sonic fan seeing him in the game was amazing.

I've still got Brawl and I might play the Subspace Emissary now and again but Ultimate is the main Smash game now. I've got great memories playing Brawl.
