Didn't Sega do something like this with the Dreamcast version of Sonic Adventure?

I'd like to see a sequel to BotW since at the end of the main story Zelda tells Link that they are going to Lanayru because Devine Beast Vah Ruta has stopped working. It's what I was hoping DLC pack 2 was going to be.

@Dezzy I don't think it's gonna be a flashback, as much as we'd all like it to be. I think it's going to pick up where the main story ended. At the end of the main story, Zelda tells Link that something has happened to Vah Ruta and they start heading in that direction.

Every time I hear "arcade racer" I'm thinkin' either Mario Kart or San Francisco Rush. I'd actually love a new entry in the San Francisco Rush series.

I've never played a Doom game, but if it plays anything like Quake III Arena or Duke Nukem 3D ("Doom Rocks, but Duke Rules!" lol) then I'll be a happy gamer.

I love FPS games. I've never played a Doom game, but I have played Quake III Arena & Unreal Tournament on Dreamcast and I really liked CoD on Wii & Wii U.

I don't have a gaming PC, but even if I did, I'm not a PC gamer, so having something like Doom on Switch is awesome.

@Spoony_Tech Retro needs to revisit a couple of cancelled games they were working on for GCN. Raven Blade & NFL Retro Football. Even that car-combat game they were working on called Thunder Rally would be awesome.

From what I've seen in videos, you guys would be better off comparing this game to something like Metroid Prime. This game looks good, but it looks like an FPS Adventure game (like Metroid Prime) with horror elements where as Doom is more of a traditional fast-paced FPS like Quake 3 Arena (the only Quake game that I've ever played).

@ThanosReXXX @samuelvictor I never had a PS2 for very long. If I remember correctly it belonged to my youngest brother and he ended up selling it within about a month or two of getting it so I couldn't really compare for myself.
I remember that DC was powered by Windows CE. I just thought CE was hard to program for because DC was the only device that I ever saw it on.

@samuelvictor yeah, I remember hearing about those games showing up on PS2. I never had a PS2, though. Did those games have anything over the DC versions? More characters maybe?

@samuelvictor I still have some issues of Gamer's Republic and one of them did a large article on E3 one year and featured a bunch of Dreamcast games and a lot of PS2's launch games. They commented on how the DC versions of games like Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive 2 looked better than the majority of PS2's launch games.

@justin233 you should be able to get a Dreamcast pretty cheap at a used game shop. I can get one for $25 to $50 at my local used games shops.

@Gamer401 I don't remember actually seeing that happen, but I remember reading and article about that happening in an issue of EGM before their price jumped to $10.

@NaviAndMii I've not heard of Space Station: Silicon Valley. And here I'd have thought they got the idea for the possession stuff from Messiah by Shiny Entertainment.

@Zyrac I've been wondering that ever since the Sega Dreamcast. I remember sports games like NFL 2K taking up almost all the space on the VMU.

I wonder if this and Wolfenstein will have support for local mutliplayer as well.

@retro_player_22 This makes me wonder how much time Bethesda had to start working on Skyrim, Doom, & Wolfenstein for the Switch. Also, I wonder what - if anything - is going to be missing from Skyrim and Wolfenstein.

Not a problem. I've played Tony Hawk and Halo 3 and never really messed with the level editors in those games. though it would be cool to be able to use the SnapMap level editor to create levels that you can then download to the Switch version of Doom.

@JunkRabbit that sucks. I wonder if they'll at least do something to fill us in on what happened in the first game.

@LArachelDisciple You should try it on Dreamcast. I never played it on DC, but it also came to the GameCube in the form of Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 and that was pretty awesome.

@GrayFox666 I don't only own a Switch. I don't have a Switch at all, but if I did it wouldn't be my only gaming system. I also have a Wii U, 2 broken Dreamcast's, and a non-gaming PC. I'm po' folk.
