@ThanosReXXX lol when I heard it was a dude with a pointed head, I was thinking something along the lines of the guy from the One Piece Dresrossa arc until I saw your picture. I can't remember his name.
@legendwaker I really like the NBA 2K games, but I haven't played one since the days of the Dreamcast. Do the new ones play anything like the old ones?
Anyways I'm more of an NFL 2K fan and would love to see that series make a comeback, but last I heard EA has the NFL all to itself. Does 2K still make NCAA football (American) games?
@masterLEON it might have been. That sounds familiar. The only PSX games that I played that I remember the names to are FF VII, Need For Speed, Tekken 3, & Battle Arena Toshinden. The only PS2 games that I played that I remember the names to are FF X, Socom, & SSX3.
@masterLEON also since you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about fighting games, maybe you can help me with this: I remember playing what I think was a 2.5D fighting game on PSX where you used weapons and could chop down the bamboo trees during a fight. Any idea what that game was? It might have been on PS2.
@masterLEON that's a shame. No wonder I didn't know about any of the other Shodown games of the time lol. Up until the Dreamcast and GameCube, I was a one console guy.
I can't remember which Samurai Shodown it was that I played on Genesis, but I loved it. Maybe after SNK finishes rereleasing all their old fighting games they'll get around to making a new one.
All this talk about 1st and 3rd party games, but what about the 2nd parties? Retro Studios can't be the only 2nd party developer for Nintendo, can they?
The only fighting games I've played outside of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat are Killer Instinct Gold, Mace: The Dark Ages, DBZ: Budokai, DBZ: BT2 & 3, and Naruto: CoNR 2 & 3, Bloody Roar, Soul Calibur, Tekken 3, and MvC2.
I would love to get into the Fatal Fury and other SNK fighting series. I would also like to see Guilty Gear, Blazeblue, and others show up on Nintendo consoles.
I haven't even played Tekken Tag Tournament 2 or Injustice: Gods Among Us.
I'd love to pick this up for the Switch... if I had a Switch. OP is my favorite anime and i saw One Piece Film Gold at Walmart the other day, but I couldn't get it because I was already spending $80 on three Metallica CD's (Load, Reload, & Hardwired... To Self Destruct) a printer, and One Punch Man. I may get it this weekend, though, along with Rings.
Is One Piece Unlimited World Red still available on the Wii U eShop?
Did anybody else notice that the mountain with the big hole in the side (I can't remember the name of it) resembles the mountain that piccolo accidentally blew up in his and Goku's fight with Raditz in DBZ when Piccolo fires his first Special Beam Canon at Raditz and missed?
I was never into any TCG games. One of my cousins was, though. He had about a binder full, but as far as I know he never did any tournaments because his mom didn't believe there was any use in it. The only time I got a trading card was when I bought an issue of Shonen Jump.
Now if we were talking about comic books, I was going through some of mine the other day and I found some from the early 1970's. One of which was Marvel Comics Group & The Electric Company presents Spidey Super Stories #1. I went to http://www.comicspriceguide.com and found that if it was in near-mint condition it could go for at least $40. Even more if it was graded, but I don't know how to get that done. As it is, though, I could get at least $20 out of it.
I don't have a Switch yet, so I haven't played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe yet, nor have I played Prey because I also don't have a PS4/XBONE/gaming PC, but from what I've seen of Prey, it doesn't look very intense. I do love me some shooters, though. I have CoD Ghosts & Mass Effect 3 for Wii U and Quake 3 Arena & Unreal Tournament on my Dreamcast.
I would like to hear more about some fighting games coming to Switch. Wasn't there supposed to be a Blazeblue game coming to it?
@Alshain01 Cool. Is it just a one-time payment? If so, I'll do it when I get internet. I live in Oklahoma, but I have to rely on satellite companies for internet as there are no cable companies near where I live.
I don't have a Switch yet. I don't even have the Switch version of BotW. Switch BotW was at my local Walmart from day 1, but they've been sold out of the Wii U version for weeks. I managed to get a copy of the Wii U version on eBay for $6 less than it's price in stores. These are great numbers, though.
On a side note, I can't wait for E3 to come around. Nintendo saying that they've mastered advanced game engines like UE4 has me really interested in seeing what they can do with it and they just might show off what they've learned at E3.
I'm not really into the WWII stuff - not saying "it's been done", just that I'm more interested in modern/futuristic tech. If it has to be a CoD game, I'd rather it be a sequel to Ghosts.
Although, I'd prefer a competitive shooter like Quake Champions. I love games like Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 Arena on my Dreamcast.
@PlywoodStick I also still have an issue of Next Gen. It's the Metal Gear Solid 2 issue that says "We've played it. It's awesome!" and has over 100 pictures of the game. It's one of my favorite magazines in my collection because it has a huge article about how to start your own game development company and it has an interview with John Carmac and Kevin Cloud.
That article sort of goes with an article from a 2011 issue of Nintendo Power that I've got that tells what tool the professionals use to make games. I love stuff like that.
@Jajeongeo SPOILER At East Akala Stable during the day there is a girl working by the horses. I can't think of her name at the moment, but if you talk to her, she'll offer to change your horse's gear and main.
I had heard of companies still releasing Dreamcast games, but I didn't know they were going as far back as releasing new SNES games. That's pretty cool.
The kid's mom could've denied it for any number of reasons. Could be financial, could be that the kid was in trouble - both of which were mentioned here multiple times.
One possible reason that I haven't seen on here is that maybe the kid's birthday was coming up and his mom didn't want him ruining a surprise.
It's the kind of killer app that EVERY console needs. I just wish it could've come earlier in the Wii U's life.
That said, I bought it for Wii U off of eBay 2 days ago because I don't have a Switch, couldn't the game in stores, and downloading it isn't an option. So far I've seen a rainbow, a blood moon, the "Game Over" screen a hundred times or more, and I've just made it to Zora's Domain.
@8itmap_k1d You're not wrong yet. The Walmart nearest me has spots for 1 2 Switch, BotW (for Switch) and BotW (for Wii U) and the Wii U version of BotW seems to be consistently sold out (had to order mine on eBay) while the Switch version is still in stock.
@wiggleronacid same here. I don't have internet on my PC, but going on what I'm seeing on my phone I've gotta say they're doing Nintendo Today better than http://www.nintendotoday.com is lol
Good stuff guys. Even though I've seen lots of the videos and have studied the locations of some of the towers (I'm gonna run right past the old man and go for that first tower lol). Thanks for not spoiling anything that has not already been seen in videos and pictures.
Can you speak of the game's main menu? Does it still have Link riding across Hyrule, or is it something different now?
@mateq That's cool. I saw on a few sites comparing the world of Hyrule to those of Skyrim and Witcher 3 and they said it was bigger than both (not combined) even with all their expansions, so it may have a comparable amount of towns and villages. They said it is 140 miles big. Still a little smaller than Xenoblade Chronicles X, though.
On the other hand, I really like the wide open areas and forests.
This is a great lineup. Can't wait to see what Platinum Games has in store for the Switch. I wonder if they're busy working on Bayonetta 3 or maybe reworking Scalebound for Switch.
Also, what the crap does Retro Studios have up their sleeves?
@abbyhitter According to Commonwealth Realm on YouTube - and other sites - the world of Hyrule is about 140 miles big. I saw somewhere that said that's about 15 miles smaller than the world in XCX.
Special Edition or not, makes no difference to me. I never had a PS360 (not a big fan of them) or a gaming PC, but I do plan on getting a Switch and when I do, I'll be picking this up to go right along with BoTW.

All seriousness aside, though, DUCK HUNT REMASTERED! lol
Re: Here's The Free Gift My Nintendo Members Get During The Summer Of Play 2017 Tour
Just another way that Nintendo is thinking about your health.
You gotta stay hydrated while adventuring around in the world of Hyrule.

Re: Review: Samurai Shodown IV (Switch eShop / Neo Geo)
@sdelfin Yeah, that's it! I remember thinking that was so awesome that could happen during fights.
Destructible environments are one of the reasons why DBZ: BT2 & 3 are some of my favorite fighters.
Re: Review: Samurai Shodown IV (Switch eShop / Neo Geo)

Re: Rainway In Talks With Nintendo Regarding PC Game Streaming On Switch
@AlbertXi it could be seen as a roundabout way of playing Overwatch on Switch. Something I've noticed a lot of people want.
I'm not a PC gamer outside of the SIMs, so I would also like to see games like the SIMs, Overwatch, & Quake Champions on Switch.
